I never knew that Volbeats are a pain in the ass, like there’s this trainer I fought in my X nuzlocke, and his moves are Confuse Ray, Moonlight, Double Team, and Tackle.
I’ve spent about 15-20 minutes just trying to kill the thing.

1. It’s attacks, although physical, do fall in the magic category
2. Y’know how some fairies pull the “mischievous prankster” card? That’s what this mon is. In general, it relies on trickery, though it’s not malicious (or in general mean spirited) enough to be a dark type
ehhhhhhhhh hard sell, should go for some kinda super acrobatic fighter
It turns out mr “points out everything overpowered” made an overpowered ability himself…
(The ability can work, I would just put some limit on it… like maybe only work counting your dark types)

Yeah. The best way to do this (from experience) is to either
A. Nerf the actual buff
B. Make the Buff have a cap
C. Place some sort of specific restriction on the buff
For example, one of my abilities, Overcharger, could have been really broken. It flat out removes recharge from moves. This was balanced out by making the moves do recoil damage, making them still very powerful but not spammable
