GF is hiring for creating a new RPG game on a new console.
I guess it will be a new Mystery Dungeon though, since we don't have any for the 7th gen yet and they mention "deformed toon-ish characters".

A couple of things………First if they’re hiring it won’t be for Stars. Stars is likely already in development (as per what the original rumor said) and it wouldn’t require anyone really new. All they have to do is scale up the models from SM to the correct resolution and add in whatever they’re planning on doing to make it the “3rd” version. None of that requires a new engine. Second, GF don’t make any of the side games. If they’re hiring new people it’s for only 2 things. A side project unrelated to Pokemon completely (like Tembo, that digger game, Harmoknight, etc) and the main series Pokemon games. Nothing more nothing less.I personally think given the descriptions for all their recent hiring listings that they are prepping for gen 8. They’ll release Stars this year and then next year or even in 2019 release gen 8.
Am I the only bothered by the fact that gen 3,4, and 6 all had a side protag who took part in an alternative to battling that was either severely over dramatized in the anime (compared to the games, your going to tell me in game contests were impressive?) or weren’t even in the game? Like if you advertise something in the anime, please make it worth advertising.

Actually that event was done awhile ago. Like several months ago. Yokai Watch got two new yokai, while FF14 got pets based off of Yokai, weapons themed off of Yokai and the whisper mount.

Yeah, but it kinda makes sense. They’ve openly said that these cross overs take several months to do, the current one being Garo and saying it took about 18 months to set everything up for it due to the legal issues around it. Yokai watch is huge in Japan, even bigger then pokemon for a hot minute, and SE are kind of the kings of JRPG’s, so if they came to you wanting to do some sort of cross promotion, your probably going to say yes, no matter how silly it is.
