Women and girls are an important part of the Pokémon world. After all, they protect us (Officer Jennys) and care for us (Nurse Joys) and also train alongside men. Let’s not forget that professors didn’t even ask for a gender when starting the game until 3 years after the series debuted.

DP weren’t great. But I hear Platinum fixed a lot of things wrong with DP.
Also HGSS were remakes done right (even though Gen 2 is the worst to date).
All in all Gen 4 started at the bottom but ended on a high.

What I really don’t like about the newer gens is the lack of good spin off games.
Gen 3 and Gen 4 had such great spin offs, while the newer gens focus more on casual free to play games
They milked PMD and Ranger to death, and I would argue that they weren’t even that good to begin with. Gen I/II had the better spin-offs with Stadium, Snap, TCG on GBC, Pinball,… Rumble and Poképark were shit, too.

I tried playing explorers of sky and fucking hated it. It’s so tedious. You go through like 60 levels of a dungeon that are randomly generated with no design and it’s not fun.
