As was rumored several days ago, a shiny Tapu Koko distribution has been announced in Japan for owners of Pokémon Sun & Moon. A special code will be given out from March 17 – April 9 and must be redeemed by May 31st.

  • Level: 60
  • Ability: Electric Surge
  • Held Item: Electric Seed

This is certainly an event not to be missed and will hopefully make it to English speakers soon!

  1. So I finally found out how to make it to the Goron village in Breath of the wild, and my first sight upon reaching it is a Goron mount rushmore with the first one giving a thumb’s up to all who enter the village. I might just join earthen in saying that they are by far the most fun race in this game.

        • I did Elephant today, it was really disappointing, the boss fight was really lame. I heard the other bosses are similar, is that right?

          • Whatever the battles really boil down to hack and slashing since we don’t have special equipment

          • Well, I was maybe waiting to get a special sword, since that helps beast fights alot. Too bad doing dungeons actually helps getting the sword.

          • A reviewer said that the main dungeon bosses are kinda lame, but I heard that the free roaming bosses are cool tho

          • Sadly that seems to be the case. I’ve done Bird, Elephant and Camel so far and I’m at lizard. Oh the other hand though its interesting to see how you have to use the slate to defeat them.

  3. I’m just going to mine some stuff today I think, you need a lot of rupees in this game. And it seems that there is a use for your precious gems, so don’t sell them all I guess. Was disappointed in that you cannot wear earrings combined with a hat though.

    • Just go hunt for Luminous Stone, every ten earns you a diamond
Also take every loot possible and sell them
Also hunt down Stone Talus species they drop pricey minerals

  4. Hm…So I know a lot of us have been a bit spam happy with Switch and Zelda talk, but I have an honest question about it for someone who’s perhaps a little more tech savvy then myself. I’ve been trying to find a rough level of comparison to the switches graphical power, and I think I have a good answer, but I wanted to run it by someone else. We know that it run’s on a Tegra x1, which is more powerful the the Tegra x1, and seems probably comparable to something along the lines of a gtx 660-680, where by comparison its probably safe to say that the PS4’s somewhere in the gtx 700 range. Does that sound about right?

    • Honestly, I don’t think the graphics are that much greater than the Wii U, but I suppose it is slightly improved for some textures. So yes, it would be accurate to say that it’s somewhere close to – but well below – the PS4.

      • Yeah, I’d say it seems a bit better, but its kinda hard to gauge really since the game that most would use for comparison is a port of a WII U game. Honestly I’d say its a fair bit more powerful then the Wii U, but again thank you for the input.

  5. Does anyone know if there is a maximum number of heart containers/stamina vessels you can get, or could you theoretically get all of one and none of the other?

    Reply
    • No idea on Stamina, but I’m fairly certain that the maximum number of hearts you can obtain is 30. So given the four you get from dungeons and the three you start with, that makes 23 you can get from shrines. 23×4 makes 92, so I’d guess their’s maybe one more heart container I don’t personally know of, meaning you can pick Stamina three times. Though this is purely speculation.

It’s like Nintendo and Sony are friends again after the break up they had when making the Polystation. Nintendo tried to hide the pain by afterwards dating Philips but it just didn’t work out. Philips only made Nintendo feel bad about itself and so they broke it off. Nintendo slowly recovered and became independent. All these years later they are friends again.

  7. Since google has a Komodo Dragon as their logo, it reminds me how I want a Komodo dragon pokemon. Honestly, I thought Salandit would evolve into it.

  8. Recently there have been a lot of switch break compilations. I know this is first release, but jeez I never seen so many programming fails of such a large variety. Especially not in this day in age. Have you guys (or know anyone) that experienced any problems?

    Reply
    • Nope. My switch is flawless, no joycon connectivity issues, no dock scratches, no blue screen, etc. It does suck for those who have them though.

    • I’ve experienced zero problems so far. I have had Zelda freeze on me more than once, though. It kinda scared me the first time.

    • Its good. No real complaints with it, and it generally seems that those issues that are rising are more outliers then anything. I’ll still argue that its really not well suited as a handheld and that Nintendo should release a 3DS successor next year, but honestly this feels like the first time I’ve played something with Nintendo on it that actually can rival the competition.

    • I have been playing the switch for nearly…..40+ hours now and I can’t stop, I sacrificed sleeping and social interactions with my family and coop myself in my room with foodstuffs and don’t emerge unless I need to use the restroom, I truly love it and Breath of the Wild it is so addicting and you always find something new to try, I am begging you to get it so that my excitable blabbering does not ruin it

    • To be honest, it seems like it was a good idea not to buy this at launch. Gives them more time to fix the console and maybe wait for a sale.

    • I give it a solid 9. Sliding the Joycons in and out of the dock and grip is way more satisfying than I anticipated. The operating system is ridiculously fast but there’s also nothing fun to do with it. Zelda is also a ridiculously good game on handheld, because the graphics are really amazing. It’s an HD NINTENDO HANDHELD.

      • If real, Stars should probably be announced within the next 2 months.. Sun and Moon was announced in Feb 2016, and ORAS was May 2014 and that one was pretty late. HD pokemon y’all.

        • I think mid-April is the perfect time for some kind of announcement. It would be a good time for a Direct to discuss Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, new Arms characters, and maybe show a bit of Mario Odyssey gameplay. They could also talk about virtual console and other missing features. As for Pokémon, it could be announced during this Direct or on its own a few weeks earlier or later. I just think April is a solid time to do it.

        • For some reason, I’m worried there won’t be a game this year because of the amount of time SM took to be developed

    • Full 10, but that’s just because I really like Nintendo consoles. 😛

In all seriousness, I haven’t had any issues and the play styles are some of the most comfortable yet. I’m a fan.

  10. I’ve been thinking about E3 this weekend since it’s in three months (and companies will start announcing their plans far earlier than that). I’m still willing to bet real money that’s Nintendo’s main headliners at the show will be Super Mario Odyssey, Animal Crossing, and Smash Bros.

    • Personal guesses would probably be more on Mario, Splatoon(I don’t think it’ll be out yet, but scratch it if it is), Metroid since Reggie’s already teased it, Picmin 4, maybe hints of what GF are doing, Fire emblem warriors and maybe a trailer for FE 16, and probably some love for the 3DS titles since the switch hype should die down by then and remind people that it still exists.

      Reply
      • I totally forgot about Splatoon 2. I’m pretty sure that will release in early August, just a hunch, so that will definitely be there. I think Pikmin and Metroid reboot announcements would be perfect as well to show that Nintendo is rethinking a bunch of their properties. But I just know this is Animal Crossing’s year (although it will probably come in 2018) since we have that mobile game coming out. Fire Emblem Heroes coincided with Fire Emblem Echoes and Switch, so why should Animal Crossing be left all alone?

        Reply
        • Oh yeah I can see Animal crossing coming out soon enough, but its hard to say if its E3 worthy, as rude as that might sound. Animal crossing is a really niche title and might be more deserving of its own direct or something rather then being included with everything for E3.

    • My predictions:
      – Xenoblade 2 news
      – Super Mario Odyssey news
      – FE Warriors news
      – FE16 teaser
      – Animal Crossing switch (seriously, it’s time)
      – Retro’s new project

But in reality all I need is AC and I’m a happy camper.
