Pokkén Tournament Confirmed for World Championships, Switch Version Coming?

The big confirmed news of the day is that Pokkén Tournament will be returning to the Pokémon World Championships 2017. It was noticeably absent from the schedule that was first announced for Worlds, but Japanese sources have confirmed that the fighting game will be returning again this year according to Serebii.

Various tuning tweaks are slated to go live for the arcade version in Japan on Tuesday, but the Wii U version remains noticeably behind. The console version even lacks playable characters that have been available to arcade players for months. Fans will hopefully see an update, but nothing official has been announced.

One interesting prospect raised by presence of Pokkén Tournament at Worlds is the possibility that it will be re-released for the new Nintendo Switch console. With Wii U production officially ended it wouldn’t necessarily make sense to promote a game for a dead console. It seems likely that the title will see a port which may include the features and updates that the Wii U version currently lacks. We’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for news on the matter!

    • similar to drawing one of my most flamboyant characters ever only to half ass his face

He goes by Captain Quincy Daylarose Tisdale, a flamboyant Pirate captain
He has a extremely svelte figure with a maroon magenta outfit complete with a big fancy hat, and hot pink hair and rouge lipstick

Despite his flighty ways he’s actually a incredibly talented and successful strategist, navigator and master fencer, with his iconic weapon, the Rose’s Wrath a Sword claimed to be created by a goddess of beauty

    • Wait till you get to college and if you mess up, you’ll probably get screwed one way or another.
In high school, the only problem I had w/scheduling was I wanted to take AP Calc BC my senior year, but technically didn’t have all the pre-reqs completed (it’s really just completion of Pre-Calc., which I did in the form of IB Math year 1. But for IB, we have the additional requirement of completing IB Math year 2, which I hadn’t done :/).
Fought with administration on that one for a while, caused quite an ordeal.

      • I need like a step by step thing for this. I have all my core classes but I have an open space and idk if there is a class I need to take specifically or if I can just throw in another elective

        • You can probably find your graduation requirements on your schools webpage somewhere. I know for me it was 4 years of a foreign language + other core classes, a certain amount of electives, and a couple specific classes (Gov/Econ, P.E., etc.)

      • I’m fighting that exact same battle over on my end. I made the stupid decision not to test out of Algebra 1 in freshman year, and now I can’t take BC calc. I think it’s stupid how some uninformed decision I made before I even came to the school effects my ability to take classes I want. -_-

    • Lol I’m literally just loading all the open spaces in my schedule with computer science classes. I’m fairly sure that by the end there will only have been one class I didn’t take, which I’m not interested in (computer security). I’ve never had a free period and don’t think I will until senior year.

  2. Calling it a day on my Black run. Finished up fighting against Cheren and Bianca after defeating Burgh. This is the team so far:

    Pignite
    Male
    Lv 24
    Work Up
    Rollout
    Rock Smash
    Flame Charge

    Pansage (Vert)
    Male
    Lv 22
    Work Up
    Leech Seed
    Cut
    Vine Whip

    Munna
    Male
    Lv 23
    Psybeam
    Moonlight
    Defense Curl
    Yawn

    Whirlipede (Accelera)
    Female
    Lv 22
    Poison Tail
    Bug Bite
    Iron Defense
    Protect

    Herdier (Lloyd)
    Male
    Lv 23
    Odor Sleuth
    Retaliate
    Bite
    Take Down

    Tympole (Vibe)
    Male
    Lv 22
    Aqua Ring
    Supersonic
    Mud Shot
    BubbleBeam

Overall, its been a very balanced team, with each one handling the others weakness perfectly. Pignite is pretty damn powerful, Pansage has great moves to use, Herdier stops everything in its tracks with Intimidate, Munna puts everything to sleep and then fires away with Psybeam, Tympole is a fast attacker that holds its ground, and Whirlipede is an excellent poison sweeper, weakening everything with Poison Point, then finishing it off with Poison Tail.

I will say this is a very fun team to use, yet this run I’m trying to use as many Pokemon as I can (whom I haven’t used as much/ used in the very first run I did). I’m thinking of maybe replacing Munna with Sigilyph (for a flier), later putting in a Sawsbuck for Pansage, and then a Bisharp for Scolipede. Are this good ideas for my team or no? What’s your suggestions if you have any?

  3. Well it’s early but I can’t help myself
In the Eyanu Region there is an eternal struggle between keeping the land pure and the modern age advancing in technology resulting in unwanted pollution and sometimes it gets so bad undesirable life is born
    Wastenaught
    Poison/Steel
    The runoff Pkm
    Stench/Sturdy HA: Gooey
now this Pokemon I can’t decide on a species theme and so far it was a acid slime ball living inside a melted trash can or a snail that used a trash can as a shell but I’m leaning towards Slime
A sickly green amorphous Pokemon with sad bright yellow eyes and a mouth filled with pointed triangular teeth arranged like a sucker, it has a metallic shell and fragments of metal on its goopy arms and some what elephantine legs and when it pulls everything together it looks like a deformed trash can
“Born from careless pollution Wastenaught are often mistreated because of their looks, despite that they are timid and easily startled often finding deserted places filled with garbage to eat”

    • and it’s evolution is a also a mystery
it was called Rotcepticle and it is a literal dumpster maggot thing, a big fat gross slime worm with a melting steel shell and a leech like mouth, it has a voracious appetite and consumes anything inedible (strangely it does not eat people food) but they have a rather meek demeanor but the people of Eyanu let them eat waste but they as a species is extremely contained and few are allowed to live without trainers

the other idea was a Turtle with a garbage barge on its back but i’m trying to stay on one theme

      • I’ve had a super similar idea for a gen 8 game where the theme is Nature Vs Technology being the struggle to find the balance between the 2 in today’s world
I made the region based on Africa (Kenya area more specifically/South Africa)
Legends being a Robot Dragon and a Mokele mbembe Dino Cryptid
