Last Chance to Grab Genesect Download

Pokémon fans who weren’t able to get a Genesect for their copy of Pokémon Omega Ruby or Alpha Sapphire now have a second chance. This is especially important now that you can bring it to Alola through the use of Pokémon Bank. There are two different codes based on region:

North America:

  • GENESECT20

Europe & Australia:

  • GENESECT2016

This download will only be available until February 28, so don’t wait! Keep in mind that you will need ORAS and the event will not work if you already received a Genesect last year.

        Not sure what’s going to to interact with it, except that it is not very effective on Ice and that it resists Ground (not immune to it tho as Cosmic Pokémon are on the ground, it’s just because the earth won’t touch the cosmos

    Zelda is the princess of the destroyed Hyrule kingdom. She goes to investigate ancient ruins scattered around the world. Famitsu says she’s a wise and curious girl, but also has a deep complexity.

    Mifa is a Zora girl who lives in Hyrule. She has a special power that no other Zoras have, but perhaps due to that she’s somewhat introverted and doesn’t talk much. Famitsu wonders how she will use the spear she’s wielding.

    Darkel (or literally Darukeru) is a Goron warrior who lives in the mountains of Hyrule. He’s normally calm, but when entering battles, he changes into a very brave warrior that screams loudly while sweeping away enemies.

    Reebal is a member of the bird-like Rito tribe which lives in the skies of Hyrule. He is spotted wearing the same blue scarf as Darkel and Mifa, and each of them also wield different weapons.

  14. Okay, I think the reason why there’s almost no missions going on when I go to Festival Plaza is different than I assumed. I thought it was just that there weren’t many people online at the same time as me.
    But last night, when I went to my Festival plaza in Moon (which is still in the lower ranks), there were a bunch of missions going on. 15 mins. later, I go to my Festival plaza in Sun (which is rank 70+, don’t know for sure) and nothing.
    I’m wondering if the game restricts this depending on how high the rank of your Festival Plaza is. If that’s the case, then, that’s pretty dumb. How am I suppose to gather more FCs to use the improved services of the shops if they restrict the missions?

    • Not sure about that, it seems like bad luck. IIRC the bunch of missions is depending on if the random guests you’ve got on the guest list are doing any of them.

    Earlephant (Earl Grey + Elephant)
    Jug/Grass
    Boiling Point*/Battle Armour/Speed Boost
    *If this Pokémon becomes burned, it will not take damage and all of its Water-Type moves have a 30% chance of burning. Does not stack with Scald.

    Basically an elephant calf, crossed over with a teapot. It’s so fat that it resembles a tea pot, sitting down with its trunk looking like a spout and the circle + tail on its back looking like a lid.

    Ground/Cosmic
    Frisk/Illuminate/Sand Rush

    A star nosed mole looking Pokémon, but its nose is literally a glowing pink five pointed star, with its feet also glowing.

    • Before anyone asks, Jug (joke type) pretty much represents anything used to hold something and vaguely resembles a Jug in function or appearance. Kinda like how Steel represents all the metals.

          • yeah, i made these guys prior to gen 6 and now anyone immediatly calls out the Pyroar similarirites since its a large Lion pokemon with a mane of fire, but its a Fire/Dark type since they fight with severe ferocity if and when something enters its territory

            it has the signature attack Searing Slash which is a fire fury swipes (their claws and fangs are coated with a flammable wax/saliva that can be ignited)

          • Tbh you could just incorporate other big cats if the similarity bugs people so much? Seeing as it evolves from a Cheetah?

            Altho tbh there’s different types of lions so of course two fire lions can look different enough to be two different Pokémon, heck you could even take advantage of it and say that it and Pyroar are somewhat related and world build away

          • Tbh if you don’t go through with the changes (which you shouldn’t have to as long as you keep it looking as distant as Pyroar as possible whilst also keeping it a Lion) I’d just add the bear anyway as a separate line

    • I’d suggest a Fire Type but unless you use Incineroar or a ‘mon from a previous gen you are out of options if you don’t want to have 2 of the same type. Maybe a Fighting type? My issue with that planner is that it doesn’t tell you what your team are good against. You need to try something that you don’t have covered, or just something you like in general.

          • But there are both Rito and Zora in BotW, so I guess the theory that its a direct sequel to WW is debunked.

          • don’t sell itself too short, maybe the Rito are an example of splinter cell evolution, where some Zoras re-evolved and went naturally

          • Fairs. I happen to watched a YT video yesterday where a fan tried to explain that BotW does not take place in the adult timeline, and therefore cant be a WW sequel. He theorized its a sequel to Skyward Sword and OOT but comes before WW

          • Zelda is just really good at jerking a timeline to be explainable
            i’m still following a after WW timeline since you cannot argue with Koroks

            My Zelda lore is very rusty but couldn’t of koroks divergently evolved from the kokori (similar to how grey wolves and dogs both still exist even though the dog comes from the wolf. not the best example tho as canus lupus familiaris is a subspecies, not a whole new species)

          • Rito are Zora who adapted to the new enviroment in Wind Waker. But they co-exist in BotW (we’ve seen both species in the trailers so far)

          • Iirc we didn’t see any Zora in WW so maybe the same can go for the kokori can also still exist? Wouldn’t be surprised if they are extinct the

          • I really wouldn’t say they’re the same thing, they’re drastically different physically to the point where I’d even say they’re a different species, or at the very least a very different sub species

    • Definitely Jirachi. It’s soo adorable and I love it’s steel typing. I also love it’s signature attack, I use it casually it. A cute pokemon having a move called “Doom Desire” Is just awesome. And competitively it made me realize how much I love it. Paraflinch set is amazing. You eat up the salty tears of the fallen. Also Scarf set is good, and calm mind set is an unexpected sweep.
      Diance is a close second. Fairy is a nice type. and Mega Diance is so cool and a good sweeper.

    • I would have to say Manaphy/Phione because I loved that Pokémon Ranger movie as a kid and have great memories of downloading the Manaphy egg (the only one to have a unique sprite!) from Pokémon Ranger. I think I still have my original one from DPPt in the Bank!

      Mew holds a very special place in my heart. When I was 11, and I had just got Yellow version, there was a Mew distribution held in London. I live across the country so couldn’t make it. I was pretty upset, so my Mum called up Nintendo helpline to ask how I could get a Mew. This super-kind guy said if I sent in my cartridge, he would download the Mew for me.

      2 weeks later, I had a Mew on my game! Bless that gentleman. I never even got his name, I only know he had an Australian accent 🙂

      I still have that Mew in my original save file. My Yellow’s battery hasn’t packed up yet, unlike all my 2nd gen games.

  52. My friend told me that Pokémon Stars was announced today and I almost had a heart attack. He was lying though 🙁 Sun and Moon were announced in February though, so who knows? In all honesty it will probably be in April or May, but it’s nice to hope!

    Jk, but in all honesty, here’s number 1:

    #1

    Before who I say who it is, there will always be that one Pokemon that people truly know that is their perfect Pokemon. It perhaps might be immediately, or even a while till they finally nail a favorite. It’s hard, I know, going through all 802 Pokemon from all generations. There is so many out there I really like, but to narrow it down to one is one of the hardest things ever. And finally, just finally, I think I’ve found my favorite after all this time. Here it is:

    Flygon is my all time favorite Pokemon. A lot of stuff about it just makes it perfect and lovable, its design, moves, stats, and etc. I didn’t realize it when I first saw this thing, but slowly by the years it grew on me. And a big contributing factor was all thanks to my Emerald run to make it very special…

    When I first started my Emerald run, one of the first Pokemon I had of wanting on my team was Flygon. I’ve always wanted to use one, but in all my years I forgot it use one despite me really liking it and using it competitively usually. So this time, I wanted to fully utilize a Flygon on one of my Pokemon journeys. So I stopped by Route 111 in the desert at Mirage Tower, and picked myself up a Trapinch.

    Naming it Quake (very creative, I know), I set off on my Hoenn journey once more. Quake did have a bit of a rough takeoff, as it was really the only one on my team in its first stage still, and every other Pokemon I fought at the time were either 2nd stage or their final evo. Despite this, Quake’s awesome 100 Attack stat helped it conquer mighty foes that stood his way (or at least getting a good chunk of HP before getting slammed). And especially in Winona’s gym, he began to shine by taking out Swablu and getting the final blow in Altaria with Rock Tomb. He gained some good exp from that, and won me the badge after a hard fought battle.

    Then, at the time of Mt Pyre, Quake evolved into Vibrava. Gaining in tons of more speed (now one of the quickest on my team), he also lost a little of attack. He was about faster than most of the team members, but couldn’t fire away stronger attacks sadly. Nevertheless, Quake was a force to be reckon with. Taking out the foe faster now was a lot better, so Quake was able to pepper some attacks better than his Trapinch form. His quickness help with a lot of things, such as the Psychic gym with Quake using Earthquake to eliminate Lunatone and weaken Solrock. If it wasn’t for him, my team would’ve been swept entirely by Lunatone.

    And finally, after all this time in being in his 2nd evolutionary stage, Quake finally evolved into the mighty Flygon at Victory Road. Opposed to Vibrava, Flygon is extremely fast and has a deadly Attack, so Earthquake will damage so much more. Quake now had a solid Sp Attack to use for his Dragon Claw. And Quake had the bulk to withstand some powerful attacks. And with this, Flygon lead the torch of my team for the E4, helping in defeating some of Sidney’s dark Pokemon (Cacturne, Flygon, and Absol), the pesky Dusclops of Phoebe’s Team, finishing off that final blow to Glacia’s tanky af Walrein, and the Dragon Dance spamming Altaria and Kingdra of Drake’s team. Plus, in the Wallace match, though not too difficult (unlike Steven), he wrecked his Ludicolo with Fly. Quake enabled me to get past hard challenges of the E4 thanks to his newfound power. And in the Battle Frontier, Quake demolished everything in the Battle Tower, Battle Dome, and the Battle Pike. The deadly strength within Quake proved itself to be worthy for my team, and made me love Flygon so much more.

    Quake the Flygon was one of th best team members I ever had. Not because of strength, but of the times I shared with him in all his stages. We faced many challenges that stood in the way of becoming Hoenn Champion, and with each form Quake was in, we took them on. He felt like a true Pokemon partner for me in the first time in me playing Pokemon. We endured hardships, fought with the power he had, and experience parts of the Hoenn region I never ventured in a whole new light (such as the Sky Pillar, Abandoned Ship, Shoal Cave, Mt Pyre, the BF, and the backer areas of Meteor Falls just to obtain Dragon Claw) because of my lack of playing Emerald before. Quake stuck with me, in all the conditions placed.

    And thats why Flygon is my favorite. It’s a Pokemon that feels like a partner to me, one that, if I were in the Pokemon world, I’d go many places with Flygon at my side. A perfect, loyal companion…

  64. So (doubtful if anyone knows nor cares) i’ve officially gotten back into splatoon and vows to hit the cap before Splat2 (currently 27 1/2) and i’ve noticed all the elitists somehow managing to have gear with triples of ever ability, what the heck isn’t it supposed to be random?

    But i guess i’m no better since i have the Smexy Squid Power Armor from the Amiibo but i wear this out of cosmetics

    For me its the pokemon, DPPlt had amazing pokemon, even if they have my least favourite starters (honestly dislike all three, ill only use chimchar) but other than that all the pokemon were top notch. Oh and the Evolutions of past mons, they need to do that again!!!

    It has to be wild and ferocious maybe like a Quilled Frill Lizard mixed in with a thorny devil that has an axe for a frill and all sorts of bladed accessories but it has to be pure dragon

    And lastly Jayden my final Gym Leader, a wise and incredibly powerful martial arts master, he may be elderly but his skill and training is beyond comprehension (he was even offered a spot on the Elite Four)

    And he battles with his partner Woofukong a buddhist monk Mandrill Fighting/Psychic

          And if you’re talking about the legendaries, they’re meant to sound weird and complicated. The elementals are worshipped as Gods and given a naming scheme such as the Tapu (Penta + word from their country’s old/native language) whereas the chemical Trio are UBs

    • If you’re not overlapping that removes Leafeon, Espeon, Jolteon and Vaporeon

      That leaves Flareon, Umbreon and Glaceon

      I’d recommend Flareon if you really care about a GFW triangle, but your team would appreciate a special attacker in Glaceon, who whilst obtained somewhat later is still somewhat reasonable

      Umbreon is a kind of dark horse (heh) but it’s cute and its more defensive nature can help round out your team too

      My vote: Glaceon, Flareon is super underpowered in Gen IV without Flame Charge or Flare Blitz, having to go mixed. Umbreon slows down gameplay and your team is already physically inclined

      • I agree Flareon got way better later. As did Umbreon really, thanks to foul play. Glaceon is the only one that’s pretty much as useable now as it was then.

  100. Has anyone noticed a trend in their teams? In regions with excessive HM use, I almost always have a Water – Type, and before ride I’d have a flying type for fly. Also most of my teams are type triangles and I try to force a Fairy or two in there

    Arena Lords

    They’re the bosses of areas called Arenas, where you battle it out with other trainers in a tourney to see who appeared the Lord and gets to battle them. Because of this system, the trainer system in Poké UK is seen as very restrictive for trainers and was adapted into the internationally renowned Gym/Elite Four/Champion system.

    Arena Lords are unique in that whilst they specialise in a type like Gym Leaders do, they also specialise in manipulating their arena. As soon as you enter a battle with an Arena Lord, they’ll activate a terrain or weather to fight you with, powering up their Pokémon and really testing you to your limits.

    The first arena Lords your character fights are Cata and Ana, the twin electric Arena Lords of Poké Glasgow (these placeholders will be filled in some day I’m sure of it). They utilise their powerful Plusle and Minun to spread fear into the hearts of beginning trainers, abusing Helping Hand, Thundershock and the Terrain to their advantage.

  127. So I’ve been messing around with Fire Emblem heroes, and I”m kinda surprised how good it is. Other then the event maps being a little bs and not telling you that losing a unit is an instant game over, its really well made, pretty fair in its balance and really easy to get 4 star characters, given the ideal is five star.

So far my main team is a 3-star green mage on a horse(Cecilla), The greatest healer ever for her sheer shark(Serra. 4-star), Cain: The Bull(4-star and comes with a brave sword by default), and Est, the blossom of the Pegasus knight sisters. I wanted to bench her so quick, and then I herd her speak and her voice melted my heart. Made better is her VA’s name; Briana Knickerbocker. Pokémon Duel is slowly becoming an addiction, Fire Emblem Heroes is seeming to be a wonderful introduction to the series for me, and I continue returning to Super Mario Run in an effort to 100% the game. If they’ve been trying to increase exposure to their properties, I think it’s going very well so far.

    • You got a Five star Tiki. Five star’s are godly. Really the current Meta is to try to have a team of 4-star+. Really good rolls over all. Lissa’s a good healer and Jacob can be useful in the early game.

      My team right now is Robin, Serra, Kain and Fedrik, and so far they’ve managed to get me to chapter 9.

  155. So I’ve got a Fakémon with an iffy concept but I really really like the name, anyone care to give some feedback?

    It’s called Titunium or Titunam (Ty-tune-ee-um or Ty-tune-um) and is a Water/Steel Tuna Pokémon. It had two pure water pre evolutions, but isn’t naturally occurring. It’s a mutation that occurred from an attempt to gain Immunity to a toxin in its home which is caused by Mercury.

Most of which I’m gonna keep to open on my channel, but I opened a couple of other packs and got a holo Ribombee. I opened (almost) an entire Japanese booster box of the SuMo Sun set a couple of weeks ago on my channel and got a Japanese holo Ribombee so it’s cool to have both versions. I will say I like the Japanese holo’s way more than the English versions. The border is way cooler! lol

  191. Hey so I just made an interesting theory about Necrozma:

    So in Sun’s dex entry, it states:

    “Reminiscent of the Ultra Beasts, this life-form, apparently asleep underground, is thought to have come from another world in ancient times.”

    The part about it being asleep underground struck at me, as there wouldn’t necessarily be anything in Alola that would be a fitting place for it to sleep and become Necrozma (since we all know that Necrozma is somehow related to Solgaleo/Lunala’s line because of its cry, moves, and the whole light situation). But, when I looked back at Ten Carat Hill in my Sun copy, I realized something about its description:

    “A great hill formed by the activity of an underwater volcano. It is famous for the hollow in its middle that is open to the air.”

    Now, while this might not seem like anything shocking, take a closer inspection at volcanos. What do volcanos sometimes produce while they flow magma? Volcanic glass. And a particular volcanic glass that we all know is Obsidian. Obsidian is known for being hard and brittle, not easy to break at all. Another thing is, obsidian can also exist in underwater volcanoes, its possible. When looking at Necrozma’s ability, Prism Armor, it lessen super effective attacks. So the relation of this and obsidian make a lot of sense.

    Speaking of Prisms, one can make a prism with either the following materials: plastic, fluorite, or glass. Obsidian is also glass as well. And there is such a thing as an obsidian prism.

    What I’m saying is, I believe that Necrozma has been asleep in Ten Carat Hill within the underwater volcano, and as such developed a hardened obsidian-like body that enables it to refract light because its it body being glass-like (explaining its ability and high defense).

    A speculated history I have about Necrozma’s origin is it originated one of the first Ultra Wormholes opened up, but with a Cosmoem coming out of it. At the time, it was trying to gain energy in preparation for its next form, Solgaleo/Lunala, yet where it landed at from the Ultra Wormhole was the underwater volcano. Within the deep magma areas, the rapid cooling of the water help produce obsidian, which the absorbing Cosmoem combined into its physiology. Over time, it became buried underground because of so many years passing by, developing a weaker body than Solgaleo/Lunala because of its inaccessible source of light at the time. Therefore, that is why it has weaker stats than Solgaleo/Lunala.

      • And also one of the animations of Necrozma shows it clawing at its head as if it were in pain. Perhaps its doing that it’s true, Cosmoem body (though mostly transformed into Necrozma) is trapped inside all that obsidian? And it could explain another thing, which is the true body of Cosmoem is the power source for it’s laser attacks, using the star energy within. Which could explain why Prismatic Laser is a recharge move, because Necrozma can’t fully utilize its light energy within.

    • Hippowdon is probably the best at being a mixed wall (depends how you invest in the EVs). Specially Defensive Gliscor can also take hits from both ends of the sepctrum

    Right before the final battle, Ganon talks about how wind always brought his gerudo people death, and that he longed to bring his people the gentle breeze of hyrule field. And, after shoving a sword through his skull, he said “The wind. . . is blowing. . .”

  276. The tournament will be pushed back to Sunday February 26, 2017. This is due to the low amount of individuals joining the tournament, and partaking in the poll. This will also give a week of decisions whether tournament will be in game or on showdown. The battles for the round must be done within the round week or else you will be disqualified.

    Many people have wondered now that many OU pokemon are banned what about the Uber’s non legendary pokemon (Mega gengar, aegislash etc.) I have decided since this tournament is leaning more to the diverse side of pokemon, I will BAN ALL UBER POKEMON. This includes:

          • The game dwells on the fact she’s single, and the personality she does have is mitigated in that she makes so less appearances than the other Kahunas to the post that personality isn’t developed or deepened at all.

          • Im pretty sure the only mention of her being single is when you go on a “date” with her in Lanas restaurant, which is a scenario you can miss entirely, considering I didn’t know she was until I stumbled upon that scene after I beat the game 100%. And what Kuppo said is true, she has more of a personality than Hala, the only thing that saves him is his cutscene with tapu koko and the UB

            Three times isn’t a lot, but when in Pokémon, a series where a lot of characters have no one on relation status (or a lack of one) it feels forced. There’s also the fact that there’s concept art of her throttling Mallow for referring to her as ‘M’ am’ over Miss, which kinda links in to the whole ‘she’s single lol’ piece.

            Hala doesn’t get as much flack because his lack of personality and interests doesn’t feel forced for the character. And I’d argue he does have more personality than her: he’s both a wise mentor and a fun-lover, and he’s been hinted to have a fierce temper as well as some familial issues (both his son and grandson seemed to have, or had, inferiority complexes surrounding him). We also know he enjoys Tauros riding and Alolan sumo wrestling, which is a lot more than we know about Olivia’s habits besides the fact she owns a shop and likes rocks.

          • If it was mercury, I’m telling you now that it would’ve been Steel-Type. GameFreak isn’t that stupid, at least Florges and Comfey have at least poor explainable reasons for why they’re not Grass whereas there’s literally no reason to make Nihilego Rock over Steel.

            As well as that, mercury is a silver colour, and Nihilego is clear and blue/yellow, just as glass can be.

          • Right, except mercury being silver and liquid (Nihilego is obviously a solid as seen as when you touch it in refresh it’s just malleable) at room temperature is actually a chemist’s field of interest.

            If Nihilego was mercury and its neurotoxins came from that and not an organic source (or the type of glass – like substance it’s made of) then it’d of been illustrated as such and would’ve been Steel, simple as. Glasses consist of rocks (or lava, etc. but that’s just molten metals and rocks anyway), and Nihilego is rock. It’s excessively simple.

    Personality: Kind and kind of the ‘shoulder’ for his friends. However, he is very easily annoyed and will tell people when they’re in the wrong, even when comforting them. He has a guilt complex that’s quite toxic for himself.

    Interests: Toxicology, Poison-types, Pokémon battles, cooking, reading, and Pokémon Super Contests.

    Backstory: His mother and father were both renowned toxicologists who studied Pokémon and their tie to Poison (there’s a whole type about it and nearly every Pokémon can learn Toxic). They were employed by the Aether Foundation when they set up their Alolan HQ, and when knowledge of the Ultra Beasts became public Jordan gained an interest in Nihilego and its neurotoxic not knowing that his parents had actually worked with samples of Nihilego venom that Lusamine had gathered traces of (through the incident that resulted in Mohn’s disappearance). His goal is to meet a Nihilego and observe it, and make a cure to its toxins as it is the only Pokémon poison for which there is no cure. The toxins must pass through the victim and they gain an addiction it as it lingers in their and gives its victims a desire to be exposed to more of the toxin. This is a problem as the toxin has been observed to stay in the victim for a very long time, possibly forever (as seen by observations on Lusamine).

    Pokémon: As he has a vast interest in Toxicology, Connie is biased towards Poison types. However, he finds it prudent to keep Fairies and Grass-types on hand due to their renowned healing abilities, and Pokémon with poisonous qualities that are not themselves Poison-typed also catch Connie’s attention. He has numerous Pokémon, multiple of which are family pets and some of which are battling Pokémon.

    This is honestly one of my favourite teams ever, it’s only beat out by a few including my Incineroar run. My Primarina run was my favourite for species, but it’s one of my least favourite play throughs because of how bad the natures were (Lax Salazzle, Jolly Primarina, Brave Lycanroc Midday being the main examples). Although that Salazzle had 31 Sp. Attack IVs and was the first Pokémon in Wela Volcano Park and I love her for it, she’s one of the few things that kept me sane that run because she just bombed everything <3

    Still don't like the Rowlet line as much, even though Julius was shit (wrong gender and nature) Pig is just… An all rounder right now, especially since Sasha is fully evolved and Opal and Hibi joined. Hopefully he gets better as Deci? So my favourite individual starter is Karla (Incineroar) and favourite starter species is Primarina for Alola

    Also the small details in the game. There's Komala log seats and Finneon striped boats <3

        • Rhyperior because my starter was my Aunt’s Newborn Rhyhorn calf who i’ve raised dearly and its strength is unmatchable

          Emboar was my (trainersona’s) first starter since he hails from Unova, it’s fighting spirit burn intensely

          Heracross from the lands of johto, i caught it after i watched it demolish an entire tree trunk for sap, it’s strength and determination is a valued ally

          Pangoro during my times in Kalos, it was a roughneck Pancham who bullied other pokemon and stole their food only because he himself was picked on and has his food stolen, but we accomplished so much (and he risked his life to save us from a frenzied Nidoking after this bitch Stunky i accidentally caught stole its eggs)

          Golisopod granted we haven’t known for long we already share a great synchronization in battle,

          And lastly my Aerodactyl i revived from my necklace that was made from amber, it was stubborn and violent but after many months of training and taming it flies me everywhere

          • Pangoro’s is the best because
            before getting through the reflection cave, a Stunky stole my backpack and effortlessly used its rancid stench to overpower us, but it bit too hard and ripped a Pokeball out and it slipped on it getting a capture
            it was a female Stunky it was bitchy, self absorbed and gluttonous, and did not like any of us
            at night Pancham noticed it left itself out and wandered off, following it, he witnessed Stunky stealing and eating Pokemon eggs from nests
            and it made its way to a cave and came out with a purple egg, Pancham tried to knock it back but it awoken a very angry nidoking
            it berserked out and Stunky led it towards our camp site where we were, Pancham tried desperately to catch up to no avail Nidoking was too fast, it roared and began to charge up a hyper beam, Panchan noticed how Stunky looked nonchalant and uncaring, this selfish behavior triggered something in him and he exploded with rage and EVOLVED
            Pangoro leaped in an tackled Nidoking to keep him at bay, and a epic battle ending with Pangoro grabbing Nidoking by the tail and using Circle Throw
            Morning came and we were investigating where Stunky went, with a growl and a glare Pangoro snatch Stunky’s pokeball and snapped it in half

          • Liking it, expecially how you managed to incorporate the ‘negative’ aspect connected to Pancham evolving (was there actually a dark type around or was it just its dark emotions?)

            Also does Stunky die or just released?

          • Mostly a dark sense of righteousness which pancham has come to fight for the most

            (and IRL in my X run i used a Stunky to evolve him)

            the original one Stunky was left face to face with a horde of angry pokemon it had robbed…but the unsatisfying thing is it gets away

          • I like I like, makes Stunky more unlikeable yet doesn’t make your character unsympathisable my being accomplice to animal murder

          • also its kinda infuriating lack of justice, how something so bad can get away without receiving retribution

      31 Sp. attack IVs, Flamethrower/Sludge Bomb/Nasty Plot/Dragon Pulse, and based off my favourite Pokémon? Yes please. She’s also got a Lax nature which combined with the pheromone thing would be great for stories.

      2) Gargoyle the Druddigon (White)
      Gonna be honest, didn’t expect to like Druddigon. I used it because I didn’t expect to like it. But her coverage, survivability and damage with me over. Her gentle nature makes a ‘gentle dragon’ story line a good idea.

      3) Ruby the Cherrim (Platinum)

      Thought she was going to be weak as fuck, but Sunny Day + Solar Beam was great in game and really packed a punch! Her quiet nature fits both her playstyle and her planned personality as a shrinking violet that explodes into a euphoric flower

      4) Grape the Azumarill (AS)

      I caught this Sassy little bugger with Play Rough, Aqua Tail and Huge Power. Even in a whole water mono with Swampert as a physical attacker, this beastial image of masculinity absolutely murdered much of Hoenn and looked good doing it.

      5) Petaya the Salamence (AS, separate run from above)

      This jolly behemoth brings both the ability of Mega Evolution and flight, and combined with his powerful moves and bubbly personality he compliments the rest of the cast both personality wise and power wise.

      6) Venus the Clefable (Red)

      She took out Bruno all by herself… When she was a Normal-Type. Bubble Beam/Psychic/Body Slam/Sing is laughable now, but in Kanto twenty years ago she outright throttled many a team and tore them limb to limb, assuring the wins against Koga, Erica Bruno, Agatha and Lance. Her naughty nature goes against the mold of the typical Clefable and I love her for it

    This save file was the best. I had gotten a cart of HG and SS for my birthday and played it for the first time in 3/4 years. I defeated Red, caught all of the legendaries, obtained a Giratina Egg from Arceus, fought Giovanni, basically did all of the events and just… dang it was fun. I have yet to enjoy a pokemon game just as much as this one. (Though Moon came REAAAALLLY close)

  364. So using normal as a control, I compared my least favourite types to my favourite types in terms of numbers. This includes mega type changes I used a lot and Pokémon that have been retyped

    Control:

    Normal – 16

    Favourites:

    Fairy – 16 (10 not including re types)
    Poison – 16
    Grass – 25

    Least favourites:

    Ground – 15 (17 if you include pokemon I’m planning to use in the future and not just Pokémon I actually have or am solidly planning on using in a current play through)

    Dragon – 10 (And its meant to be rare)

    More balanced that than I expected, Water is probably going to drown everything tho considering that two-three HMs were consistently water types and I did a mono run with it

    On the other hand, writing a complete proof is very technical and hard to do. Even the slightest gap in your logic ruins the entire thing.

    1. My school is hosting a Smash 4 tournament and I’m entering with my friend. I need to go home and practice, the final match is being shown in front of the entire school on a large screen projector, and gets an article in the school newspaper. Recognition for simply playing video games during school sounds pretty nice.

    2. This is the funny one. So my school has a bi-yearly art and literature magizine, one of which released today. I bought one (mostly to impress my english teacher, who happens to be the editor), and I flip open to the back, and SOMEBODY LITERALLY SUBMITTED “BOLD AND BRASH” BY THE ONE AND ONLY SQUIDWARD AS ORIGINAL ART AND THEY ACCEPTED AND FEATURED IT

  478. I’m trying to decide whether I want to evolve my Pikachu from Yellow into an Alolan Raichu. On one hand it could stay my pikapal on the other hand it’s weaker now and could get stronger if I evolve it. I just don’t know lol

  480. I think I’ve found part of my issue. I’m racking up the opponent’s percentages generally above 150%, which is where I often lose it. I’m having a tough time finishing it up with a smash attack or anything that’ll send them flying.

    Zelda is dead in BotW (hey, at least I’m not claiming Link was dead in MM). Maybe that’s a bit too harsh. I’ll put it this way: Zelda is dead during the current events of BotW, because every cutscene we’ve seen of her and link was before he went into stasis. My only evidence? Yup, Zelda’s side is all rusted, while Link’s side is all shiny and new. My guess is that this is to signify that Zelda is in the old era (before the stasis, symbolized by the rust) and Link is pulling the sword out in the new era, even though it would probably still be rusted then, idk). So what if every cutscene of her we’ve seen so far is from the past? That’d be a bit odd to have a Zelda game where Zelda wasn’t there (again with the MM). The only counter point I can think of is that somebody says “save her, my daughter” presumably talking about Zelda. Well, unless that wasn’t fulfilled, it’d be for someone to ask if Link was about to go into stasis.

    P. S. I saw somebody comment that this image makes Zelda look pregnant and now I can’t unsee it.

    P.S.S. Another thing I just thought of: the scene where zelda says “everything I’ve done up until now, it was all for nothing”, guardians are destroying a town that looks inhabited. If this scene took place in the current time, why are guardians just now burning the town?

  531. Ok so with my newly hatched shiny mimikyu I now have a shiny version of every single non-shiny locked fairy in existence. Therefore I am clearly the Fairy king. Now if they could just release the shiny tapu’s, daincie, and Magearna my collection will be 100% complete. (And yes I also have shiny versions of the pokemon that gain the fairy type via mega evolution.)
