Pokémon Duel Now Available on iOS, Android

The mobile game previously known as Pokémon Comaster in Japan has now been released to English markets as Pokémon Duel! Gameplay centers around moving pieces from your side of the board to your opponents with each Pokémon figure possessing different attacks. Battles are determined through the use of spinners to decide what attack is used making for unpredictable and often frustrating play.

Like many free-to-pay games, Pokémon Duel utilizes a timed energy system to limit the amount of progress you can make through battles and Pokémon are bought in randomized ‘capsules’. Much of it will feel familiar if you’ve played games similar to Puzzle and Dragons.

As someone who has played the game, periodically, since its Japanese release, I sadly can’t recommend spending money on it.

If you’re interested in trying it out and waiting for some free gem events (which were quite common in Japan) you can download it for iOS or Android if your account is in the US.

  1. I was expecting this to get an English version, and figured it would be some time when Duel would be announced for English audiences. Though I will say this looks interesting, might give it a try.

      • Sure but you gotta feel like shit too, time is irrelevant when feeling good
Throbbing headache, sore throat, coughing every couple of minutes (also each one hurts the headache), phlegm, extreme lethargy and overall crushing meekness and lowness

  2. So apparently you can tame, name and store mounts in Breath of the Wild,
If I find a wild mare in the game I will give it a faithful name worthy of its greatness…..Debbie

I really hope they include some kinda weapon crafting system I mean if your entire weapon inventory is mostly based on find and use until it breaks, they gotta include a few story-found unbreakables otherwise I think Runes are going to handle all the equipment

  3. All I know about this game comes from the many, MANY rants of Joe Merrick on Twitter last year 😛 With Paul backing up the extremely luck-based gameplay, it really doesn’t sound worthwhile. I’ll at least try it out though.

  4. Also I just had a deliciously thought that would rain on the parades of anybody who wants a No Guard Fissure Machamps
You probably think you could just transfer Machops until you got one with No Guard right? Well you only get one chance since Fissure is only by TM and it’s the only one in the game

    • Nope you can get it whenever. You just have to complete the dex first which typically takes beating them game. Either way as long as you trade you can get it without beating the game.

I must admit this was the first Dragon Pokémon I ever used and other than Turtonator probably the only one. This Pokémon was always a joy to have battling along side with a useful barage of Dragon Pulse and Flamethrower, and the Infiltrate ability a powerhouse Flying type, a good friend, and the 5th lvl.100 I ever had Good cheers to this guy, but we still have 6 to go till the end so be alert!

Hint for 6: A Kalos Pokémon that shares its type with only 1 other Pokémon that lives in Kalos

    The list so far
    10. Ambipom
    9. Turtonator
    8. Reuniclus
    7. Noivern

  6. If they were to give non-kanto pokemon alola forms, my hope would be for ambipom to get one, id love for it to become normal/fighting or just plain fighting. It and aipom are like my favourite normal type (fun fact I thought ambipom was ugly and i hated it when I first saw it, now I love it)

  7. Running low on ideas…..
This was one of the very firsts when I decided to make

    Sanwurm
    The Underground Pkm
    Ground
    Intimidate/Arena Trap HA: Dry Skin
A pale tan and beige colored Snake Pokemon who always halfway buried in the ground its face is pointed and two long fangs point downward, they have a large triangular rattle sticking out of the ground behind it
“This subterranean Pokemon slithers effortlessly through the sand, at night they shake their rattles in rhythm to attract prey”

    Into
    Servepent
    The Enticing Pkm
    Ground/Dark
    Intimidate/Arena Trap HA: Dry Skin
This Pokemon consists mainly as a burrowed hole in the ground with a large cobra like Pokemon occasion popping out,Nita body is a darker brown and tan underbelly and has deep red eyes and a red dot with a green outline on its forehead, and four fangs two on the roof and two on the bottom
“Servepent’s skin is extremely vulnerable to light so it shelters itself underground, using its rattle it creates a bizarre melody that entrances Pokemon to it so it can quickly eat”

Finally the feared monster of the desert
    Pharobra
    The Reigning Pkm
    Ground/Dark
    Intimidate/Arena Trap HA: Dry Skin
Pharobra is a massive massive serpentine Pokemon (like roughly longer than a Steelix) with a luxurious golden brown skin with brick like scales, and pale white patterned underbelly, it’s face has golden bands that stretch into its mighty hood (which resembles a pharaoh headdress) the forehead mark now has turned into a green and red striped horn and its eyes have black markings, it’s tail has three segments and resemble a pyramid. They also have a forked tongue and massive fangs
“Pharobra create mirages with their horns, lost travelers who find these mirages are never heard from again”
