Hey everybody, due to certain circumstances, we’re bringing you the last regional Mascot Showdown a little bit later! The winner of the last showdown is Xerneas with 53%.
Let’s move on to our last region: Alola. This brand new region is the startpoint for Generation VII – bringing incredible, new features like Trials, Z-Moves, the Battle Royal, Poké Rides, regional variants and so much more!
Pokémon Sun Version
Pokémon Sun featured Solgaleo, the Sunne Pokémon, on its cover. It resembles a more robust white lion design complete with a galaxy motif on its forehead. Its crownlike spikes and its tuffs of fur around its head resemble a sun. Among the people of Alola, it’s known as the beast that devours the sun and has therefore been honored as its emissary.
Solgaleo is the only known Pokémon that can learn the move Sunsteel Strike. Along with Lunala, its counterpart, it’s the only Legendary Pokémon that’s part of an evolutionary line. Not to mention it also has the highest HP-stat of all Steel-type Pokémon. Its name comes from ‘sol‘ (Latin for ‘sun’), ‘Galileo‘ (the man who proved that the Earth rotated around the sun) and ‘leo‘ (Latin for ‘lion’).
Pokémon Moon Version
Lunala, the Moone Pokémon, graced the cover of Pokémon Moon. It’s a large skeleton-like bat whose wings seem to resemble the moon, and are made of the night sky. Much like Solgaleo, it can travel between our dimension and the Ultra Space. Additionally, it’s called the beast that calls the moon, thus gaining the title “emissary of the moon” by the Alolan people.
Lunala‘s signature move is called Moongeist Beam. While Solgaleo is called the male evolution of Cosmog, Lunala is called the female one. Its name derives from ‘luna‘ (Latin for ‘moon’) and ‘ala‘ (Latin for ‘wing’).

I think it’s misleading to label “society” as being against white males. Maybe it comes across that way if you’re a conservative in a very liberal area, but from my personal experience, white males tend to have an advantage in many things.

yeah like a movie being a good movie is the most important. But I think when you are in a place where you see yourself represented in media it doesn’t really seem off to you. (not blaming you for anything at all). For example, seeing LGBT representation in media has changed my life because it was my only real way of seeing that it was okay and I didn’t have to be ashamed of who I am.
Representation is so important for people. And including more kinds of people doesnt mean that straight white men wont still be there.

Hey, I’m SlightlyPridefulShadow but I’m mostly known as ShadowSect as it’s my usual username. I’m a freshman college student (not giving locations because that’s private) on an upcoming 2nd semester, and I’m huge video gamer and used to be a gigantic Pokemon fan.
I started with Pokemon D/P/Pt (specifically Diamond), went back to FRLG, and then played pretty much every Pokemon game after until XY came out, and I just stopped playing. I have yet to play a Hoenn game (you can kill me now) or Gen 6/Gen 7, but I’ve been thinking about going back to Pokemon since I played Yellow recently for the first time. My favorite main series Pokemon game is currently HG/SS, and I’m currently playing G/S/C. My favorite Pokemon game in general is PMD: EoS though (PMD fans ftw I hope they exist here)
Hmm…. I’m also a huge Nintendo fan, with Zelda being my favorite Nintendo series (sorry Pokemon), as I’ve played almost every Zelda game, and I also enjoy Mario, Metroid, Kirby, etc. Super Smash Bros. 4 is my favorite game of all time (though I’d never call it the best, it’s just my favorite), and it’s my favorite Nintendo series too (it’s an all-Nintendo game how could it not)
I play a lot of other video games too (most notably Mass Effect my favorite non-Nintendo series), but I’m just really hyped about the Switch because Switch. If you’re curious, my 10 favorite games from worst to best are Danganronpa, Undertale, PMD: EoS, ALBW, MGS3, HGSS, Okami HD, MM3D, Mass Effect 3, and Smash Bros. 4
What else…. Well currently I’m playing some really old games because I like doing that. I’m a (hopefully) growing game reviewer on GameFAQs for really old games, so I just kept doing that. The only game I’ve reviewed that wasn’t old is Okami HD if you care.
Other than games, I’m a very small anime fan of very few animes (mostly FMA:B judging by my image lol), I’m a Doctor Who fan, and I also like a lot of movies too.
That’s my shtick. I hope to not be too bothersome on this site lol

Hiya! I’m don’t come around here as often as I used to, but any fan of PMD is a friend of mine! (Although I’d have to say BRT is leagues better than EoS) :p
I also really enjoy RRT/BRT, another one of my favorite games.
I haven’t finished GtI or played PSMD yet >_<
I love them both as well! I’d say PSMD is my second favorite in the series.

Ok here’s the intro for my game! Some notes:
-I just realized the bg music is just what I was playing, so excuse that? There wouldn’t be any sound otherwise so you can just mute it!
-Some parts of the video lag, but the game itself is fine
-The Intro I thing shouldn’t appear, I know how to make it go though
-The dragon looks pretty derpy
-Characters have codenames, I haven’t figured out any actual names
-That’s clearly not a Latios
-Night is pretty dark
-Need to add swimming pokemon. Also not hard, I just haven’t done it.

RPG Maker XP + Pokemon Essentials (*cough* not ROM Hacking because that’s low tier *cough*). It takes a little time to get used to the event scripting part, but after that it’s pretty easy!
RPG Maker is so great and bad at the exact same time.
I applaud people like you who can work with that.
Yeah some parts can be kind of annoying, like how you have to upscale everything. Also there’s some event things that I want to do, and in my head they would be super easy, but actually doing it w/RPG Maker is horrendous for whatever reason.

Personally Rom Hacks are better because they make it feel like you ARE playing a Pokemon game, I have played both Rom Hacks and Reborn and Uranium, but the amount of skill it takes to create songs and scripts for ROM Hacks makes me appreciate them more

Hell yeah I did! Imo ROM hacking is unnecessarily difficult and hard to use. I’ve had my fair share of experience with it.
I suppose one of the differences is that the game I’m making doesn’t need to be Pokemon related at all, I just made it that way. I see where you’re coming from with the “feeling like a pokemon game” part, because when I first started playing games like Reborn, it felt a little odd.

The ending music of the first 3 episodes was so good too. The piano was so great I printed out sheet music so quickly lol
That song develops over the course of the series and eventually you can piece together the whole song. its actually my favorite song
The music and painted backgrounds/art style are probably the best parts for me. It’s just really nice to look at and listen to
Animation looked great of what I watched, but it gave me pause when I saw the animators switch every episode. Gave me TTGL flashbacks.
oof.. yeah the early episodes are bad about that. You can still kinda see that in the later episodes but its okay because it looks good and the changes are more subtle
Dang I didn’t catch any TTGL fans with thatQuick random question: Has anyone here watched No. 6? I’m watching it now for the third time, and it always hits me right in the feels. (It’s a very short anime. I’d highly recommend it if you haven’t seen it.)
