Pokémon Mascot Showdown: Generation VII

Hey everybody, due to certain circumstances, we’re bringing you the last regional Mascot Showdown a little bit later! The winner of the last showdown is Xerneas with 53%.
Let’s move on to our last region: Alola. This brand new region is the startpoint for Generation VII – bringing incredible, new features like Trials, Z-Moves, the Battle Royal, Poké Rides, regional variants and so much more!

Pokémon Sun Version

Pokémon Sun featured Solgaleo, the Sunne Pokémon, on its cover. It resembles a more robust white lion design complete with a galaxy motif on its forehead. Its crownlike spikes and its tuffs of fur around its head resemble a sun. Among the people of Alola, it’s known as the beast that devours the sun and has therefore been honored as its emissary.

Solgaleo is the only known Pokémon that can learn the move Sunsteel Strike. Along with Lunala, its counterpart, it’s the only Legendary Pokémon that’s part of an evolutionary line. Not to mention it also has the highest HP-stat of all Steel-type Pokémon. Its name comes from ‘sol‘ (Latin for ‘sun’), ‘Galileo‘ (the man who proved that the Earth rotated around the sun) and ‘leo‘ (Latin for ‘lion’).

Pokémon Moon Version

Lunala, the Moone Pokémon, graced the cover of Pokémon Moon. It’s a large skeleton-like bat whose wings seem to resemble the moon, and are made of the night sky. Much like Solgaleo, it can travel between our dimension and the Ultra Space. Additionally, it’s called the beast that calls the moon, thus gaining the title “emissary of the moon” by the Alolan people.

Lunala‘s signature move is called Moongeist Beam. While Solgaleo is called the male evolution of Cosmog, Lunala is called the female one. Its name derives from ‘luna‘ (Latin for ‘moon’) and ‘ala‘ (Latin for ‘wing’).

Does anyone ever notice Ash’s Bulbasaur knows Whirlwind when v.s. Koga’s students Venonat?!

  2. …. ok so I just encountered the weirdest thing… so I’m breeding some pokemon in sun and moon, and the first pokemon was in a quick ball, but all the others after that were in normal poke balls.

they are all from the exact same parents, I am 100% i didn’t do anything wrong, has anyone else seen this?

  3. So, if Sinnoh remakes had Sinnohan forms of Alola Pokémon (they have the most contrasting climates of any Pokémon), what would you hope for and/or expect?

  4. !!! I just had an idea for the plot of my test hack! Ok so you start out in Pallet Town and you go to Route one. As soon as you walk in, Team Rad pops up and kidnaps you. You end up in their secret base and are in their “No cool zone” for months. One day find 3 stolen pokemon. You can take all of them and break out.

You find out that you have been missing for so long people just decided that you were dead so you decide to go under a different name. (The one you chose at the beginning.) You battle Brock and afterwards, you see a Team Rad member run into the trees. You follow him in and arrive at a forest where you can catch some pokemon. You over hear a grunt talking to the leader but you dont see the actual leader. You find out that in Mt.Moon, there is a stone that summons the least rad pokemon ever… Quilfish. You have to stop them. You go there, fight some grunts and take the stone.

You bring it to Brock who is visiting Cerulean City and he confesses that he knows nothing about rocks. Team Rad attacks and the police surround the building. Shit hits the fan. An admin steals the stone from you and the police question you.

You head to Cerulean Cave and find your mother summoning Quilfish. You battle her and she disappears. You then catch a level 100 Quilfish and take on the E4. But you only have 2 badges so you just use Quilfish to blast through the walls of the badge check place. You become champion and you win!

The user charges all the energy release the full blast against the target
    Fighting: Destruction Wave
The user gathers all of its mental, spiritual, and physical energy into an energy wave and blasts the target
    Flying: GaleTornado
The user creates extremely finds winds sucking in the target and releasing blasting them far away.
    Poison: Lethal Infusion
The user forcfully jabs all the user contains into the target’s body
    Ice: Absolute Zero Crash
The user freezes the target and rams the frozen target while in a ice barrier
Any ideas for other types or updates?

  6. It’s really interesting that once you turn 20, you basically get fired as a trial captain. I didn’t know that till Mallow said it.

    – What should the version name be?
    – Which professor should I use? Oak or Birch?

  9. Can anyone spare me a Rare Candy? I’ll give a Bottle Cap and good breedject in return. My Pyukumuku just got to 97, I only have two Rare Candies, and I’d rather not make yet another trip though the E4 just to raise it 1 level.

  10. I like how everyone has competent legendary trios then there’s me with my Gaelic acid/base/neutral Trio and the two themes have like nothing to do with it

  11. A bit of lore, a little generic, but it’s a reference to a certain trio of legends in my game and a little story

    Pod Entry number 1:

“They wanted us to stop making them. The project is shut down but I refuse to let my marvelous experiment die! My admins have all ditched me because of them; it is all too much for them. They whine about how violent they are and how they aren’t even pokemon anymore. I don’t care for their wishes, I’ll never stop until I can hold this dimension hopping nuisance in place!!”

    Pod Entry number 42:
“They’re made… they’re finally finished! It is time to see what they can REALLY do…”

    Pod Entry number 43:
“I let them all lose on a tyranitar I stole from a trainer a few years back that was not complying with my wishes. They wiped it from existence in a matter of seconds… One froze it in place, another prevented it from attacking as the last one did all the attacking. Needless to say, I have a favorite.”

    Pod Entry Number 130:
“Today a disaster struck.. A figure in a red cape arrived with his pokemon and broke open all the chambers and two of the subjects have escaped! If they get too far they might even be eliminated or even worse; contained! If the time comes to it, I’ll hunt them down myself. Luckily that one is still here….”

    Pod Entry Number 181:
“If you are reading this.. You know who I am.. Today the final experiment turned on me… I’m moments away from losing consciousness… if you see them…. Capture them and make them complete my will… stop its travel…. Stop….”
    The note ends here

  12. Yo Pokedex entries

    Name: Shifurr (Shiver + Fur)
    Species: Cold Hare Pokémon
    Type: Normal
    Ability: Snow Cloak/Winsome*/Wimp Out

Acid: Although visibly a close relative of Bunnelby and Buneary, this Pokémon is much more agile, remaining quadruped. It is believed this is because Shifurr’s predators are fiercer than its cousins’ are.

Base: Shifurr is constantly shivering, believed to be an attempt to heat itself in its cold environment. However, Shifurr in warm environments still shiver – this baffles scientists, as it does not appear to be fear, either.

    Name: Eartic
    Species: Frozen Hare Pokémon
    Type: Normal/Ice
    Ability: Snow Cloak/Winsome*/Emergency Exit

Acid: It can live nearly anywhere, as it is perfectly comfortable in the cold and can thermoregulate consistently in warmer areas. It is no longer shivering.

Base: Due to being much smaller than Lopunny and Diggersby, it is kept as a pet more often and is seen as the cutest of the three. However, it is a skilled fighter that uses hit and run tactics to strike fear and respect into would-be predators.

  13. Alright, here’s my fan game: You’re a Pokémon who wakes up one morning to find out that you’re suddenly a human. You have no idea why. You live in a dangerous urban area, but you quickly meet a close friend you can trust. You have to make it through buildings and streets filled with thugs in order to travel to safety…

…this doesn’t sound like a Pokémon game at all.

  14. The final thing not related to actual Pokemon about my fangame of today.

Team Vaccine: Team Vaccine, despite the benevolent sounding name, are some of the cruelest individuals you will ever meet. They dress in what can only be described as a mixture between Hazmat suits and vampire cloaks. Even the grunts are to be feared as they have items called “Ultra Vials” equipped on their Pokemon. They are ruthless and focused on a single goal, making even an encounter with one of them possibly fatal. Their goal is to “perfect” the Pokemon world through editing what they truly are. It is said Poison, flying, electric, and ice types tend to be their favorites….
