Magearna Now Available in Sun & Moon

As promised the official US site has released the QR code that lets you receive Magearna in Pokémon Sun & Moon!

To receive your Magearna, first scan the below QR code using the QR Scanner located in the menu. Then head to the Antiquities of the Ages shop located at the top right of the second floor within Hau’oli City’s Shopping Mall and talk to the delivery man. Note that you won’t be given the Mythical Pokémon unless you have completed the main storyline and become the Champion of the Alola Region.

This Magearna is level 50, comes with a Bottle Cap, and knows the moves Fleur Cannon, Flash Cannon, Lucky Chant and Helping Hand. This QR code can only be scanned once per game and does not expire.

  1. And so the soft resetting until i get the nature I want begins. On another note does anyone think the other half of megas will be released in “Pokemon Stars” as a way to make people to buy the Switch and the game if they truly want 100% completion? Kinda like how the only way to complete the Dex in RSE/FRLG was to trade with Coliseum and XD Gale of Darkness?

  2. I really wish they’d stop just handing out event Pokemon. have the code activate an event where I can battle and catch the thing, I don’t want it just served on a silver platter.
These games are about catching Pokemon, not about being gifted Pokemon.

    • Well if you don’t want it, then don’t get it. Majority of Pokepeople don’t mind it and TBH it would be a TERRIBLE thing to force people to battle them, at least have the Delivery Lady give us a master ball for each.

      • I think it’s more a complaint that the mythicals don’t feel special because they don’t have in game events surrounding them. Like I miss the days of the Faraway island, full moon island, flower paradise events, etc. because it was really cool that the events actually activated something in game. If it’s an Alola pokemon, why am I being given it? Why can’t I go and find it in Alola instead through the event?

      • I have a compromise:

        – They should have 2 Pokemon release; 1 given, 1 you need to battle.

You can only obtain one of the two, so either way nobody will get upset!

      • [sarcasm]Oh yes, because having to actually catch them might pose the tiniest little hint of a challenge, and that would just be *terrible* I mean who would want that in a game of all places?[/sarcasm]
Othervise, yeah, what Ultron said below, I want an event surrounding it and catch my own Pokemon.

      • Why is it a terrible thing to force people to catch a Pokemon in a game based on catching them all? Is it terrible having to score goals in a football game, or race cars in a racing game?

Personally I hated assassinated people in Assassins Creed. 😉

        • Well, then at least make them super easy to catch like the first few UBS. Don’t give in to the idiots who hated the O-Powers, easy ways to level up and conservative views on Poke-changes!

          • I don’t think all legendaries need to be easy to catch. That’s why they’re legendaries, they’re powerful.

          • The tapus kinda prove this
The hardest legendaries to catch are the ones that test your worthiness
The ones that join you are in a movie one time and offed instantly
When I heard Magearna was nicknameable I hoped for the best but it didn’t happen

          • It just really sucks that they got rid of event legendaries with actual, you know, events after Gen 5. Even in Gen 5 not all of them had events though

          • At least they should appeal to the younger and people who are terrible in hard games and give them a Legendary ball which as a 100% catch rate. Kinda like a Masterball but also special.

          • So basically everything should be X and Y? I beat meat boy when I was 12. If you’re a gamer than grow a pair

          • SO it’s a sin to appeal to younger people? Ageist! I demand a Poke-protest! Generation Z lives matter!

          • No but we literally have held their hands as they walked into the game, noticed they struggled walking and held them in our arms and put a helmet on their heads in case they bumped into our arm a bit too hard

          • Please…..please stop saying that, I’m not trolling. I can’t believe I’m being criticized for saying what I want to say….such a disappointing millennium.

          • You know what nevemrind, it’s clear I have no point in trying to explain my ideas, I clearly have issues in expressing.

          • Your powers of expression are fine, you expressed yourself pretty well. However, they don’t agree with you.

You just seem to want the game to be easier and more accessible (and have less content as a result); versus the (what seems to be) PJN majority of people wanting the game to be more challenging and have more content.

At one point you’ll have to just agree to disagree.

  3. Eh. Not gonna SR for this one. Magearna is fine but I can’t see myself ever using it. I’m more excited it comes with a Bottle Cap 😛

  4. Maybe I should just leave the Pokemon community, I’m not allowed to rant about its difficulty, I get harassed for thinking making it easier is good, I’m threatened when I love X/Y’s easiness, perhaps I should just go, i’m being ganged up by some oldies.

  5. Isn’t it odd that its never specified in-game which Pokemon the Strange Souvenir is? Only that its one of the island guardians.

  6. Aw, I’m really sad you can’t rebattle guzma in post. I thought you could 🙁 yeah, yeah, I know he comes to the battle tree..but you don’t get exp there

  7. Why were O-Powers removed, they were so useful and honestly were the best thing for hatching, getting money, levelling up, beating someone, their removal is probably the saddest part of Gen 7.

  8. Not that I don’t like it, but I wish you had the option of disabling the music for pokeride. And I know you can just exit/re-enter a place like with the bike, but still.
