Combat Power Nerfs & Buffs Coming to GO

As usual, Niantic has released some details on their next update for Pokémon GO!

This time around the latest update to their popular mobile game will make adjustments to the Combat Power of several Pokémon: increasing the CP of Pokémon such as Alakazam, Rhydon, and Gengar (mentioned specifically), and lowering the CP of other, unspecified Pokémon.

In the words of Niantic, “These changes will allow a more balanced and competitive battling and training experience in Gyms. We will continue to adjust the CP going forward to improve the game balance when necessary.”

No word on an official list of all the effected Pokémon, however if you open up the app the changes to CP have already been implanted! Check out Niantic’s official blog for their full statement!

In addition to this, in celebration of Thanksgiving, starting November 22nd users will be able to enjoy a week of double XP and Stardust!

  3. I think I found something relating to the next games. I know I’m crazy, you don’t have to say it. I decided to look around Malie City, the one based on Chinese culture (which is likely the basis of the next generation) to scour for clues. If you notice, there are lanterns with circles, triangles, and three lines. On the two parallel walkways across the city, there is a black and white circle, triangle, and square, in that order. Now, look at this:

This is the symbol for Lectorium Rosicrucianism. Basically, it’s a belief that all members of this religion have wisdom handed down from ancient times. Read this little blurb I found online:
“The circle stands for the macrocosmic, unknowable Spirit of God, the fullness (the Pleroma), from which all revelation evolves, and which embraces all creation. From the circle, the triangle evolves, meaning the divine spirit in its threefold revelation as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. From the Holy Spirit evolves the “square of the building”, the embodiment of the divine idea within the substance.

Circle, triangle and square together at every level – whether the macrocosm, cosmos or microcosm – a universal symbol for the divine creation, in its perfect manifestation of spirit (circle), soul (triangle) and body (square). Thus, the sign of the unity of circle, triangle and square is also a symbol of the divine human being, who is to be revealed on the path of Rosycross.”

Maybe I’m wrong, but maybe I’m not?

      • Nah, I don’t think this has to do with Sinnoh. The symbols are in Black and White after all. I think it will go Stars, Sinnoh remakes, then 8th Gen. But given the Chinese theme of the city, they’re probably being super subtle with this hint and thinking way ahead. If this really is related, then only crazy people would even think of it.

    • Are you sure Malie City is based off China? They were saying people from Johto created the garden and I thought Johto was (more so than the other three) based off of Japan?

  6. Crap, I just got Machamp, but now I forgot the places I could use it when backtracking. I remembered Ten Carat Hill and Diglett’s Cave, but were there more?
