  1. I have a question. Has anybody found any references to the 8th Generation games, like how the Strange Souvenir was in X/Y? I know they keep shoving Sinnoh in our faces to indicate their inevitable remakes, but X/Y foreshadowed both ORAS and Sun/Moon.

    • Ryuki I believe. He says he’s from another region (note he does not say, “Far away,” like most NPC’s have been saying so far) and his attire and such makes me believe he’s from a China-like region or another region based on Japan or an amalgamation of both since Ryuki is a Japanese name that means: Dragon Rider.

      • Yep, just as I’d believed. China and Chinese mythology is up next! (Makes sense, since Pokemon now officially offers Chinese language. What a coincidence). Now I also bet they’ve snuck the names into the game somewhere, like the Sundial and Moondial.

        • I agree. It’ll be quite the profit as well considering how huge the Chinese gaming community has surged and if Pokemon can somehow create a game that caters to the Chinese fans yet keep global fans happy then it’ll be another jackpot market for them to conquer.

          • I’m really excited, 2019/2020 can’t come soon enough 😛 As soon as I finish the story (which is soon), I’m going to talk to every PC and not leave any stone unturned. I don’t think anyone really considered that the Sundial and Moondial were direct references to the next games. I think the same situation will probably happen here.

          • They better make the main city based off Hong Kong in order to make them happy. They hate when mainland China gets preference.

          • I’d bet you they’ll do the opposite of what we’d expect. Two box legends that have nothing to do with typical Chinese mythology, then a Chinese Dragon trio with Dragon/Fire, Dragon/Water and Dragon/Grass typings.

  2. Had a better luck today and finally found a Crabrawler.

    Updating my team:
    Dante, the Torracat (Lv. 17)
    Tina, the Trumbeak (Lv. 16)
    Jacob, the Crabrawler (Lv. 15)
    Gellert, the Rockruff (Lv. 10)

Ps: I’m really slow compared to you guys. Playing the game since friday and I just beated Hala.

  3. I want a Pokemon game where you have to time travel to save the present, but the person helping you was actually the villain and made you fix time in his/her favor for world domination, and you realize no matter how you try to change the past, doing all you can during the present for a better future is all that matters. That was a really long sentence…

  4. Headlines reading like, “Pokemon is back and stronger than before!” -_-

Am I missing something because Pokemon has always been here and isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. It may be true that thanks to Pokemon Go, “Genius” marketing from Nintendo, and the 20th anniversary that Pokemon has essentially hit a 2nd peak, but it was always here, HAS BEEN SLAYING, and WILL ALWAYS CONTINUE TO DO SO.

PS: Just this past 4 years, Pokemon sold over 35 million copies worldwide so… yeah… it was always here in case you needed more proof.

    • Me! After i get the Tapu’s and the Ultra Beats I am going to complete each Island’s dex as i think you can only complete Sun and Moon once you have all 15 stamps and Pokedex accounts for 5 stamps!

      Reply
    • Probably not. I don’t want to have to release or move a bunch of pokemon out of the way when I’m trying to transfer my living dex to Sun

  5. Does anyone know if you can battle both Red and Blue right before the battle Tree at the entrance or do you have to choose 1?

    Reply
    • I wish I knew a for sure to tell you, I know I saw it somewhere in the beginning and I want to say its on the first island but I have to double check, don’t want to give you the wrong info

  6. Tapu Fini CAUGHT! By far the hardest to get though as you cannot paralyse straight away due to Misty Terrain and it uses Aqua Ring to restore health…

  7. No joke I think I’m gonna use my Master Ball on a Belgium first chance I get. Just ran into one and wanted countless Balls just for it to Take Down itself to death.

  8. It would be absolutely perfect if Gen 8 was based on China, now that I think about it. Gen 5 had legendaries based on the Yin-Yang, so that whole mythology could easily be fused with the next generation. It’s like those two regions already go hand in hand: a remake of some kind would be guaranteed.

    • Po Town gave me the creeps…reminded me of Pokemon Reborn (if you are not aware…is a post-apocalyptic Pokemon game with amazing music and a similar vibe).

    • A lot of the music in this agme seems influenced by other OST’s. I swear Plumeria’s theme borrows from the ending of Star Wars: The force Awakens!

  9. I’m still mad we never got a third game for gen 6 for X and Y that explained who AZ was and what the strange souvenir was about. Not to mention we still haven’t gotten AZ floette despite it being in the games data. Looking back X and Y were messy times and probably a test run for a 3DS Pokemon game.

    Reply
    • Yea, I would have loved to see AZ’s plot explored more heavily. Yet, Genereation 6 was more of a trial as you said. GameFreak was just getting adjusted to the 3DS, so I cannot fault them to badly. I still enjoyed Generation 6 for what it’s worth. S/M is obviously superior and I like the plot more in that game.

  10. Need a bit of guidance for my team. I’m not getting Pokemon Sun until Christmas, so I’m going to have to wait for about a month. Yet, that doesn’t stop me from making some teams. I decided to use Rowlet as my starter and for right now, this is the team I created:
Decidueye, Arcanine, Magnezone, Araquanid, Alolan Ninetales, Krookodile. Any suggests of who to add or remove? I was thinking about using Pangoro instead of Krookodile and using Alolan Raichu instead of Magnezone but both seem to work properly.
