“This pokemon has a habit of hugging its companions. Many trainers have left this world after their spines were snapped by its hug”

  2. Just entered route 2.
    Play time: 4:10
    Team:
    – Rowlet LV. 13
    – Meowth LV 12

I’ve grown quite attached to meowth, hoping it wears off soon.

Seriously, Hau’s Pichu is a huge troll Pokemon. It took me forever to kill.

  3. So the Destination marker is set on the Battle Royal place, but it seems if I wanted, I could bypass it and go through Diglett’s Cave?

  4. I should of tried that when Totem Whisiwashi called forth another, to see what it would be like to face 2, though Raticate kinda fainted it quickly before I could witness it

“on rare occasions, it shows up at the beach to match wits with Slowking” i really like some of the pokedex descriptions in this game

  6. to anyone looking for Bounsweet, when in lush jungle, they ONLY appear in the western side (left path from start) at 40%. found one as my first encounter there after looking for over an hour in the northern side.

  7. I think I was over-prepared for the second trial… ;p

Magnemite t-waved it and its ally, then I just got lucky with paralysis. Magnemite got Soak’d on turn 1, turning it into a water type, allowing it to tank one hit from the boss. Magnemite eventually went down after making the boss eat its held Sitrus Berry. Brionne mopped up with Disarming Voice.

    • I just went Nasty plot, charge beam on PIkachu, took it down to like 30%, ate its berry, and then just razor leafed it down with Dartrix. It’s not really hard if you have a grass or electric type, which you’ve had access to for a long time by that point.

    • that battle was a joke. after the totem used growl on its first turn, since i was faster, i locked it into growl for the remainder of the fight with Brionne’s encore.

      • eh, i will give GF credit on this one. If your strategy is just straight offense you are not going anywhere. That alomomola with heal pulse and helping hand is a deadly combo. I was lucky that alomomola decided to attack instead of healing if not that battle would have taken longer

        • All of us seem to have specific strategies, that may or may not include statuses, AOE and setup sweepers.

This is still the fight that will make kids cry… if the school teacher or Hala hadn’t done it already…

  8. Is there an easy way to see your friends in the Festival Plaza? Like how you had a list on the PSS? All I see is a mishmash of what I assume are technically “passer bye people” in the list of people in my plaza and then my empty VIP list. Would be useful to be able to see the people I have registered on my 3DS so I know who is who lol

    • The Guest list will have “Friend” next to their name if they are on your friends list. As far as I can tell, that’s the only thing that differentiates. You can choose to make them VIPs, but eh. I vastly prefer the PSS friend system. But I still am loving the festival plaza.

  9. Quick question. I haven’t fought the first Kahuna yet. Looking for Lillie in Route 3. My team right now is:
    Crabrawler lv. 15
    Munchlax lv. 16
    Brionne lv. 18
My Exp. Share is on. Should I turn it off for the rest of the game?

  10. Watched showdown for about an hour (that’s what we can do in Europe). Incineroar has great coverage and Primarina hits really strong, but Decidueye is just bad. A lot of times it traps the target just to be killed in the same turn -.-‘

I was supposed to get the game this morning (europe) but UPS says they’ve already tried to deliver but that they didn’t have access to my apartment. They didn’t call me, send a message or an email. Like wtf.
