  1. Guys help I’m trying to demonstrate my SuMo Fanfic character doesn’t care for fashion

Do I have him commit that faux pas or nah

  2. Story spoilers

Saying there are seven trials is misleading, on the last island, there is no trial. The battle with the kahuna takes place as soon as you reach the island without doing any trials. The 7th trial captain(Fairy) just randomly walks by us and gives us the Z crystal. What was the point of having a 7th captain anyway?

  3. So I was going to post a battle regardless of outcome because how interesting it was but then my opponent used Shock Wave Hydreigon

    Whyyyy

      • I honestly prefer it to Tsareena or Lurantis so it was really no contest. I was considering using Lurantis instead of Alolan Golem on my Sun team, but they have pretty much the same number of weaknesses and resistances so I went with the one I liked more.

  4. Ok two things. First is how early/is there a breeding daycare? Second is what’s the word on shiny hunting? Is there. New method in the game?

    • 1) Day care is very soon on the second island, Akala.
      2) Pokémon can summon allies, and each ally has a chance of a Hidden Ability, good IVs, or a higher chance of being shiny depending on how long it’s been chained. This process can be made easier with a consumable, cheap item called an Adrenaline Orb.

Also, Shiny Charm will be available pre-bank: you get if for completing the Alola Dex, there is no in-game National Dex (bank does have a national Dex, however).

  5. Okay… I need major help. I’m so torn! Here are my teams so far…

    Sun:
    Decidueye
    Crabominable
    Lycanroc
    Oricorio (Baile Style)
    Ninetales (Alola Form)

    Moon:
    Incineroar
    Toucannon
    Lycanroc
    Oranguru

I don’t know where to put Kommo-o and Bewear, who I really want on my teams… Do I put both on Moon and Toxapex on Sun? Or I was thinking Kommo-o can go to Sun and Dhelmise and Bewear can go to Moon… what are your thoughts? If I put Bewear on Moon that would be 3 Normal types… But if I put Bewear on Sun my team is more vulnerable to more types…

  6. So what’s everyone’s favourite music track from SuMo that they’ve heard? Keep in mind to spoiler it if it isn’t officially revealed or if it’s a spoiler for a character

  8. I’m bored

    You’re bored

    Everyone’s bored

    Question time!

What’s one thing that you never thought you’d like but when you tried it you loved it?

Mines pretty much everything to do with Rocky Horror, going to see the live show was amazing (until the basophobia kicked up when everyone was doing the Time Warp, my city’s most well known theatre mostly consists of rows of balconies)

        • Abuses 100% accurate Thunder and Hurricane. Also uses Surf for the rain boost, and I gave it Roost in the final slot to heal off Life Orb damage and reset multiscale if needed.

It’s not the best but I didn’t want a generic rain team

          • 252 SpA Life Orb Dragonite Hurricane vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Ferrothorn: 173-204 (49.1 – 57.9%) — 55.9% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

Even better when this monster which usually walls Dragonite and Rain teams, gets 2HKOd on the switch.

          • Oh my God I actually love surprising Ferrothorn

Hidden Power Fire Amoonguss just laughs at it, it’s not doing too much to it but it does have recovery and doesn’t care about T Wave or Leech Seed

But back on topic, that’s actually really clever! Hope I can make a set this good some day, I’m a beginner so I tend to stick to recommended spreads

          • I’ve always strayed away from recommended spreads. Everyone uses them and they are predictable.

I used Max HP, Max Speed Rotom-W (everyone uses Max HP, Max Def) at the beginning XY, was brilliant outspeeding and burning stuff I really shouldn’t be able to.
I also uses Physical Sap Sipper Goodra, that was fun for a while. Earthquake, Rock Slide, Power Whip.

          • Yeah, unpredictable but good builds need to happen more tbh

People underestimate how powerful surprise is, heck I lose to bad sets sometimes because I don’t expect them

So I can’t imagine how your opponents feel with good unpredictable sets

          • Wanna know my favourite.
Head Smash Rock Head Aggron. The trick is I use Head Smash when I’m safe from getting KOd to smack something really hard. They almost always send out a Fighting or Ground type to try and KO me. Bam, hit Mega Evolve, tank the hit and 9 times out of 10 KO them back (especillay if its a fighter using CC). Pair it with a wish passer for more fun.

I actually experiment a lot, cos I get bored of the same thing over and over again.

          • Fudge that sounds strong

Yeah, I’m getting bored of my stall team because it’s pretty much been stall or be stalled so far, Chansey is actually Satan

    • Pot. lol But on the real; embracing the competitive sides of my TCG and video game hobbies was something growing up I didn’t really want to do. I enjoyed being the best among my friends, but the competitive nature of these games typically means playing what’s best not what I like best flavor-wise. But every time I embrace a new competitive scene I get hooked and find it to be very intellectually rewarding and just fun in general.

    • Shiny Solgaleo hurts my eyes. The Tapus are cool with the black shells. Some of UB look cool as well. Especially UB-03. I like Marshadows shiny better than it’s original

  9. When building an in-game team does anyone else have certain things they have to have, like a Pokémon based on a mammal, or equal amounts of special and physical attackers? I do and it can get pretty annoying tbh.

    Reply
    • I used to always build special teams with maybe one physical attackers and a support, but now for Sun and Moon I’m going to build a team with an extremely fast special sweeper (Raichu), a fast support (Tapu Koko), A fast physical sweeper (Silvally), a bulky defensive physical Pokémon (Mudsdale), a bulky specially defensive special Pokémon (Ninetales), and an undecided support Pokémon. So pretty even this gen.

    • A pokémon per color XD i didn’t realize until recently but I often make my team visually balanced ahah (Miltank/pink + Emboar/red + Ampharos/yellow + Togekiss/white + Salamence/blue + Trevenant/green for exemple)

      Reply
    • When playing new games I try my best to type balance my teams but a little bit of overlap can be fine if I like the Pokémon enough. When going back to play versions I never bought I just check out what Pokémon I haven’t played with yet and use whatever ones sound fun regardless of type.

  10. I need some serious help. The official Pokémon website and various leaks say that Alolan Vulpix is exclusive to Moon, and Sandslash is exclusive to Moon, but the data mine states that is the other way around. Help me!!!
