  1. If Lycanroc is available in both forms in both games in the Wild, then what’s the point in Limiting Rockruff to 1 form to evolve into in each game?
Why not just make it night and day?

  2. For those who like knowing the Japanese names like I do: (EN) • (JP)

Decidueye – Sinister Arrow Raid • Shadow Arrows Strike
Incineroar – Malicious Moonsault • Hyper Dark Crusher
Primarina – Oceanic Operetta • Wadatsumi no Sinfonia*

*Wadatsumi (also pronounced as watatsumi) is a legendary kami (神, god; deity; spirit), Japanese dragon and tutelary water deity in Japanese mythology. Ōwatatsumi no kami (大綿津見神, “great deity of the sea”) is believed to be another name for the sea deity Ryūjin (龍神, Dragon God), and also for the Watatsumi Sanjin (綿津見三神, “Three Watatsumi gods”), which rule the upper, middle, and lower seas respectively and were created when Izanagi was washing himself after returning from Yomi, “the underworld”. Sinfonia is Italian for symphony.

  3. Out if curiousity, who else is going to make a story out of their SuMo run? I know Kurusu is, and I think I saw Earthen say he is but can’t confirm that

      • It’s been on a stand still, I’ve been bouncing between homework and cleaning out my room because I’m planning on kinda generally improving my life (more exercise, cleaner space, more effort into school)

It’s definitely getting completed at some point though, it’s a good venting tool because I genuinely enjoy writing battles

  5. Spoilers about a trainer in the Battle Tree:

I just saw Grimsley’s model, holy crap that’s my favorite re-designed character. I love the black and white color scheme, and he looks so old damn xD But by far my favorite detail is that he is holding a coin. “There are bad ways to win– and good ways to lose. What’s interesting and troubling is that it’s not always clear which is which. A flipped coin doesn’t always land heads or tails. Sometimes it may never land at all…” – Grimsley

  6. I like Incineroar slightly more than I did. However, I still think the design is disappointing and also Torracat is cuter than it. Also Decidueye is superior.

    • Same here. I find it tolerable enough to consider using it as a fire-type on one of my in-game teams due to the low number of new Fire-types this gen.

  7. “Rockruff is a special Pokémon that can evolve into different forms depending on which game you’re playing. However, you may be able to find both of its evolved forms in the wild. Search for them—both day and night!”

  8. how far before the elite four are the mascot legendaries usable? Like is it around the equivalent of before the last gym like they often are? I like to use them on the 8th gym and elite four for my firsts of many playthroughs

    • I’m the opposite, I vastly prefer to use my regular team that I’ve travelled so far with for all gym and elite 4 battles. Of course we don’t have gyms this time but the same principle applies.
