With less than 30 days until the release of Pokémon Sun & Moon on the Nintendo 3DS, most of the new Pokémon have already been spoiled by datamining, but Alolan Persian has now surfaced on an official Pokédex for the new games. I take no pleasure in posting its bloated visage on my site, but some of you may enjoy this Garfield-esque evolution of Alolan Meowth.
Personally, I’m a little bit worried about what’s in the Alolan water, because I’ve heard tropical climates can sometimes have bacteria that causes your brain to swell and Alolan Persian may need immediate medical care…

I find it entertaining that Persian is finally an actual Persian Cat. I really do like what it’s based on/poking fun at, but I also feel like they could have made the cheek floof look more like floof than just a disproportionate head.

I think it would look less disproportionate if the rest of the body would actually fit the head.. I even think if they had made the rest of the body more chubby I could like the design… maybe… probably..perhaps.. OTL
Right, that would work, too. Bulking out the rest without it turning into Purugly 2.0 would make it look more like a Persian cat, too. I think the fact that it’s still short haired on its body throws it off big time.

I agree 100%. When Alolan Formes were first announced I thought was it a dope idea, a great way to reinvent old Pokemon. But this was badly executed, GF really dropped the ball here.
yea me too! when i saw marowak (Even tho random ghost typing) i thought it was dope. i feel like after that we noticed a drop in quality of the forms
you know whats sad, during gen 4 people complained about cross-gen evos now when they were removed those same people complained that they were gone and wanted them back
Gen 5 came with alot of new pokemon, people complained that too much, gen 6 gave us very little and guess what THOSE PEOPLE WANTED MORE. its a endless cycle my friend

Maybe it lives close to the volcano, and when the volcano is active it causes volcanic lightning which influenced the Geodude line to evolution to become a giant rock taser.

I actually really e enjoy Alolan Persian. At first, I thought that it was a gimmicky design, but when I look at it now, I just think it looks super sassy and spoiled like the backstory suggests. I can’t wait to see what kind of move pool it will have and the stat spread that it will receive.
Yeah the more I see it the more it grows on me. I still hold that they could have bulked out her body a bit or otherwise made the cheek floof more like floof, but I don’t hate it. When it was first shown I think I was more shocked by it than anything, but I’ve taught myself to not compare the new ones to their original designs, which I feel is part of the reason some people don’t like many of them.
That said some like Alolan Exeggutor are entertaining precisely because you do compare it to the original.

I have a question in the leaked alola dex why are there no fossil pokemon did they just didn’t put any new in sun and moon or is the leaked dex not complete.
It’s pretty much certain the dex is complete and GF have simply decided not to have fossils this time for some unfathomable reason. AND SCREW THEM TO HELL FOR THAT, fossils are my most anticipated thing each gen :'( .The idea the dex is not complete is very enticing, but at this stage it’s just wishful thinking and setting yourself up for dissapointment 🙁 .
The games take place on a volcanic archipelago. That tends to not lead to any fossils of extinct species. Have you ever heard fossils being found in Hawaii?

a)Hawaii has a bunch of subfossils species, so yes it does have some form of fossils, not that that even matters, because …
b) When the hell have game freak ever cared for biogeography or geological realism? This version of hawaii has red pandas and koalas. But they’re randomly going to decide not to put fossils because Hawaii doesn’t have proper fossils? I don’t buy it.
c)Most importantly, if you take a look at the Alolan pokedex, it has 4 fossil lines from previous generations. Now unless we have to buy those fossils, that just kills the geological argument right in it’s tracks
