8/12 New Pokémon Sun & Moon Trailers

The trailer for Pokémon Sun & Moon has been released early (which made me pause Nathan for You) and contains information we saw from the leaks earlier today! Here’s a recap:

  • Team Skull is revealed along with its leader Guzma and Admin Plumeria
  • New Pokémon Wishiwashi and Pyukumuku are shown in battle, both with interesting animations (Innards Out, which does damage based on Pyukumuku’s health before the final blow that KOs it!)
  • The trailer reveals one brand-new Pokémon Morelull
  • We finally see Alolan Meowth, Raichu & Marowak in action. It is heavily implied Pikachu & Cubone do not have Alola forms

  1. I’m going to vanish now before I get dragged into any more discussions lest I never be able to leave.

It’s official, the entirety of Pokejungle is a trap.

    • It floats because of the psychic energy being channeled into the tail
The reason WHY it has Psychic abilities is a load of EFFING TAUROS

    • Pancakes give Psychic powers. You heard it here first folks

Seriously though, the pancake theory is just one of those folk tales that the people of Alola tell each other since the real reason is currently unknown.
Not saying that makes it any better, but it’s something.

      • Those dumblocks need better explanations
        Alolan Ninetales should’ve been Ghost
        Sandslash shouldn’t be part steel
Marowak should’ve been born by volcanic ash via new evolution
Raichu should have a detail based on breeding and increased brain activity via increased electrical stimuli

  2. So about the last about the leaks, the snowman, dolphin and rugby monkey
dis snowman I have some ideas I know people are saying Ice/Ghost but I’m trying to run down the leaks because some say Ice/Ghost and others I’m trying to figure whose right
Anywho I’m modeling my idea on Japanese folklore of Yuk Jiji the old man of the snow which was basically an avalanche causing spirit

Which works perfectly since Alola has such a perfect snow mountain that’s bound to crumble, so what we can do is a Ice/Ghost Snowball/Snowman/monster that builds power from packing snow into its bodies ergo its new ability that either increases its attack and defense when hit by ice moves or that it changes form in an hailstorm

It readies itself on snowy cliffs and tumbles down to try and scare opponents and if that doesn’t work it uses the avalanche to build its power to fight back

  3. Just seen the Ash vs Alain episode. Very interesting but a few nit picks. Careful for SPOILERS

I would have had TalonFlame beat Unfezant, then Metagross finish off TalonFlame and be recalled for Bisharp. Goodra vs Bisharp could have ended in a draw, then Pikachu could have taken out Metagross

As it stand both of Alains Pseudo Legends didn’t get a single win each. I guess that’s the price you have to pay when you have to pave the way for Mega Charizard X.

  4. I must say that Team Skull has grown on me immensely over the past day, especially with that new theme from the trailer which is absolutely PHENOMENAL. Maybe one of my favorite villainous themes in the series thus far.

    • I’m honestly surprised about all the positive reception the music has gotten. I’m so confused, I know people have different tastes, but I’d go so far to say that it’s the worst Pokemon theme I’ve heard.

          • Including Alola forms, we have 9 (I believe) new fairies. Comparatively, we have one dragon, and one dark type.

          • And yet fairies still only constitute 5.1% of all Pokemon. If you’re wondering, that makes them extremely rare still.

You hate fairies…I get it. But some people appreciate them adding a good amount to catch up with other types.

          • That’s fair, but Ghost and Ice are even rarer and have been around since gen I… Where’s their overdue overcompensation? Plus, wouldn’t it make sense that fairies would be a rarer type? They’re supposed to be mystical elusive creatures aren’t they?

          • Ghost type Pokemon being rare is more believable considering they are supposed to be *dead* Pokemon. It would be pretty morbid in a children’s game if there were a lot of ghost type Pokemon lol. As for Ice types they suffer from being way to closely associated with animals that would equally be water types. I think most Pokemon that might be ice type are just made water type sometime during development

          • Yep
Xerneas is beyond touchble once it gets geo
            Slurps unburdened belly drum
Togekiss lends it’s beyond broken para flinching
Azumarill is just super annoying too once it gets a BD
Mega Mawile everyone knows once it has a swords dance you cannot touch it
            Gardevoir just another op mega
            Altaria annoying and ugly
And now Whimsicott let’s Fairies use the most broken ability in game Prankster
Anybody else, TWave blasting Granbull, this one annoying Florges that just sat around doing nothing but toxic and wish and no attacks, Klefki got swagger banned, and that annoying prick Diancie just such a inconvenience

    • I hope Alola Zubat is Dark.
      1) There’s no Poisonous animals in Hawaii
      2) It should look like the Hawaiian Hoary Bat. Furry and brown

  5. OMG I cannot believe the furry zubat I came up with when I made my own concept for subspecies a few years ago might be a thing!!!
As absolutely amazing as that would be, I also absolutely cannot tolerate Alolan Dragonite instead of mega dragonite. If that happens, just f*ck you GF. IMO it’s just unfair not to give it a mega like its peers. Commit to the damn patterns you begin, Game Freak….
Also I’m not exactly clear on what the source for those two is… An official site mishap and a twitter post? Is that it?
