The September issue of CoroCoro has started to leak and with it comes a handful of new Pokémon and information.
UPDATE: More scans have leaked!
- Namakobushi (sea cucumber & fist) It uses fist-shaped organs which come out of its mouth to punch!
Yesterday’s leaks:
- Yowashi (weak sardine) is a new Water-Type Pokémon that calls on its friends to change form
- Sunabaa (sand + boo) and its evolution Shirodesuna (name literally means it’s a castle, isn’t it?) are Ghost/Ground-Type Pokémon
- Nuikoguma (plush/sewn + cub) is Bewear’s pre evolution and is Normal/Fighting
- Alolan Meowth confirmed and becomes Dark-Type
- Alolan Marowak confirmed and will be Fire/Ghost
- Evil Team is known as Team Skull, they are described as “the no-good Team Skull”. They’re described as hoodlums and you can see the Boss featured in the magazine
- Serebii is reporting that next month’s issue will feature a “secret evolution” for Rockruff
wow that Chinese leak just gets more and more credible with each bit of information revealed.
What did they say about this?
one of the pieces of information said
“there will be pokemon based off a dolphin, sea cucumber, snowman, mushroom and rugby monkey” well, here’s our sea cucumber.
A sea cucumber is such a random sea creature, I’d be shocked if this chunk of information isn’t all real. I can definitely see a snowman Pokémon being a thing. Looks like we’ll be getting our dolphin after all! I hope they didn’t screw it up…
It’s cute! I like it. Reminds me of the base stages in Digimon, when they run out of power. I might catch one if they evolve well.

I stopped watching Pokemon after D&P (I did watch some episodes from the 5 gen though) but I couldn’t stand watch ash making the same stupid mistakes every season.
Also, Jessie and James are Ash’s best and only friends because no matter what they are there for him when they’re not trying to steal Pikachu. 20 years.
It’s always a little heartwarming when they cheer him on during his battles

Not entirely. Serebii’s Joe Merrick tweeted some details that say Nuikoguma, Sunabaa and Shirodesuna are all CoroCoro-exclusive, while Yowashi, Namakobushi, and Alolan forms are not.

I remember watching a documentary about sea cucumbers ages ago and I remember that they poop and eat through the same hole (and fist in this case xd ) and sometimes small fish live inside of it.

It’s not entirely correct. They have 2 holes, one on each end. No matter where the prey or whatever goes in, it goes out on the other end after digesting or something. So they’re not cloacas by any means. They’re two sorta multifunctional mouths but not really.
Besides I don’t think they treat and see their poop as we treat and see our poops.
Yes, the pearl fish lives inside the Sea Cucumbers anus and often acts as a parasite.

I am still waiting for Cross-gen evolutions for some of my favorite Pokemon. Like Banette evolving into a Ghost/Fairy Type Pokemon that resembles a jester.
Would love that too, but short of a miracle, Game Freak seem to have decided those aren’t a thing anymore…

Hey guys, now that we’ve seen that Gamefreak likes to hide some references to future pokemon in their designs (The kid from the E3 gameplay with a Vikavolt-looking shirt; Npcs refering to Tapu Koko in the same gameplay, the helmet in the “tropical” artwork looking like the new sea cucumber/bunny), do you think there are still hidden details we might have missed?
In the “tropical” artwork, the police officer riding Mudsdale also wears a helmet, can you recognise what pokémon it’s based off? Also, there is some sort of shooting star in the top left corner that at first looked like a Minior core, but upon closer inspection actually looks more like a Staryu.. What do you think?

OhI If you look closely to the old man fishing with Drampa, and you see the fish pokemon underwater. If you look at the reflection of both the old man and the fish. Although looking like Milotic, also looks surprisingly like Popplio’s final evolution, singing.

Well the bobber of the old man who is fishing may or may not be coincidentally shaped like a rotom. The kids are eating macaroons and feeding them to the pokemon so that’s probably a feature in the new Pokemon grooming thing. The other riders helmet is styled to be like pikipek.
Are you sure that’s Pikipek-based though? To me it kinda looks like what Pikipek’s evolution would be like (or at least its head), because of the color (I don’t belive the same sunlight would make the helmet and Pikipek’s head have different colors) and the white curve in the front of the helmet (Pikipek doesn’t have it, right? For the white stripe to connect with the round beak, the beak should be bigger, thus making me think it is its evolution).

both the chinese leaker and many fake leakers have mentioned of a sea cucumber, as well as a Dolphin, and Gorilla.

Deoxys, Shellos/Gastradon, Rotom, Cherrim, Deerling/Sawsbuck, etc.

We finally got our Sea Cucumber, Kevin! lol. I actually like the design of Namakobushi. I could already see it being Water/Poison or Water/Fighting. It’s design is interesting and seems like the Chinese Leaker was right again.
water fighting seems more likely since it HAS A FIST THAT IT SPITS OUT.
Looks like the riddler leaker struck again! He posted a picture of organs, predicting namakobushi as it throw up them to punch things, he also posted a picture of Rock Paper Scissors, perhaps Namakobushi’s evolution will branch and have a Rock Paper Scissors theme? Like it’s fist will turn into a rock, paper or a scissor. Seems likely as this leaker hasn’t been wrong yet.

But wouldn’t it be possible to transfer a normal Pikachu from R/B? Unless I’m missing something.
They probably also have a debug mode, and could probably use a normal Pikachu so as to not show an Alolan one (like how the levels of “wild” pokemon are 50)
Think of it how ever you want. I doubt they will be changing the design of Pikachu as we already saw Pikachu being drawn in the earlier trailers. Also, we saw it doing a Z-Move too. Here’s the whole evolution screenshots. Overall, I believe we’re getting a regular Pikachu.
Oh yeah, so do I. It would be weird to give the mascot of Pokemon another form!
All I’m saying is that the fact that we’ve seen a normal form of a pokemon doesn’t mean we can’t get an Alolan form. Not to mention that we can still get Alolan pre-evos (Vulpix & Sandshrew). 🙂

After going back and looking at older footage of Sun/Moon. I just found that Alola might actual have a regular Arcanine. We see an Arcanine in the wild while they showed off Rockruff. We still might get an Alolan Arcanine, but this is a glarring issue. I seriously want to see an Water-Type Arcanine.
