The September issue of CoroCoro has started to leak and with it comes a handful of new Pokémon and information.
UPDATE: More scans have leaked!
- Namakobushi (sea cucumber & fist) It uses fist-shaped organs which come out of its mouth to punch!
Yesterday’s leaks:
- Yowashi (weak sardine) is a new Water-Type Pokémon that calls on its friends to change form
- Sunabaa (sand + boo) and its evolution Shirodesuna (name literally means it’s a castle, isn’t it?) are Ghost/Ground-Type Pokémon
- Nuikoguma (plush/sewn + cub) is Bewear’s pre evolution and is Normal/Fighting
- Alolan Meowth confirmed and becomes Dark-Type
- Alolan Marowak confirmed and will be Fire/Ghost
- Evil Team is known as Team Skull, they are described as “the no-good Team Skull”. They’re described as hoodlums and you can see the Boss featured in the magazine
- Serebii is reporting that next month’s issue will feature a “secret evolution” for Rockruff

Honestly. I feel like Alolan Marowak should be an actual spirit that has the shape of a Marowak and the Skull should look like a tiki mask, but a skull.
The Marowak were actually killed by their predators. But their spirits enhabited the skull, as the rest of their bodies decomposed.

I think it will be pure Ground-Type. The thing about it being killed by the predators makes sense.
I imagine cubone would need to be at least fire type. the reason Exeggcute was normal was because Exeggutor is still technically grass type

OMG! I love Yowashi too. And I don’t hate it for not having an Evolution. The Form will probably have Stat Changes. Regardless, I just love the design and the concept of both of the Forms.
They really are great! I’m wondering if they are going for a “call for help” or “angler fish” kind of thing for the transformation; the little fish could actually be a “lure” used by the big cluster to prey on it’s foes, I personally think that would be neat 😀
I think most are waiting to see how the ability works before they judge it. It’s good to see more people who love the little guy as much as I do!
The ability intrigues me, as they haven’t mentioned it in the magazine; but as a self-declared Water type aficionado, I can’t help but fall in love with both the concept and execution of this Mon!
Single form looks too much like Tynamo to me. I like the cluster of fish though, I almost wish that it was the only form.

no like the One with no megas and archie is white and sootopolis is a volcano OR the One with megas archie is black/tanned and sootopolis is a crater.

I really like alolan marowak, meowth is cool but not as cool as marowak, the fishy single form is cute, its school form is weird but a cool concept, the sand castles are…something, pretty good but somehow weirder than the chandelure line, overall i am pretty happy with the pokemon we got

No shit, they’re mostly special attacks, always having to put up with Scalds, Giga Drains and Knock Off, it’s bulky to anything that isn’t packing Water, Grass, Ice, Ghost, or Dark
Seriously you can’t go two steps without seeing Scald, GDrain, Ice Beam, Shadow Ball and Knock off
