North American Pokkén Online Access Restored

Following a botched patch for the Wii U game Pokkén Tournament for North American users, the game has undergone emergency maintenance and online functionality has been restored. Some players were concerned that the region would be restricted from playing with European and Japanese gamers, but luckily that was not the case.

For those curious; apparently one of Shadow Mewtwo’s attacks could be abused during matches which resulted in cheating. This has been fixed and the patch is required to be installed before playing online.

Keep on fighting!

  1. Just restarted White 2. Oshawott as my starter.
Who else should I use ? I’ve used every Pokemon before so I’m open to anything?

Let me know who you’d like me to use and I will haha 🙂

  2. Here’s one for those into other games. I’ve never been bothered with mass effect. Have the trilogy now on 360 I want to play that or should I finish bloodborne on ps4 ?

  6. Pokken gets boring once you’ve done the extremely unchallenging leagues, (took me only a few hours) all there is left to do is the online ranked mode. Nia, along with all the other “characters” ( there’s like 2 that have more than a few lines, and everyone else is randomly generated ) have no personality and terrible voice acting that will start to annoy you immediately. There’s an option to switch to Japanese though.

The music in the game is amazing and I would recommend you listen to the tracks Magikarp festival, Diggersby land and Ferrum town autumn to give you a good feel for its ost. All the stages look beautiful and each creates a unique atmosphere. You can tell a lot of thought was put into the pokemon within the game and they all play smoothly, look great and have fun and unique moves.

With only a 16 character roster, no planned DLC and a lack of offline game modes outside of league battles, I do not think its worth the money as it stands right now unless you’re a big fan of traditional fighters such as street fighter, tekken etc. because it is purely a fighting game with familiar faces.

      • I just have to agree with her. If certain kids arent going to bother playing through the whole game, they arent going to buy the next one. They arent your target. The kids today who love pokemon love it for how it was.

    • Oh my gosh! She is so right! And it makes me so mad that gamefreak is doing this. THE UNDERLYING THINGS THAT MAKE POKEMON FUN ARE CHALLENGING BATTLES, EXPLORATION AND CATCHING POKEMON, PUZZLES, AND MEETING PEOPLE. What pokemon did in gen 6 was 1) make battles less challenging 2) make things linear so you didn’t have to explore and found dragons and free legendaries super early in the game and 3) axed all puzzles. This isn’t pokemon anymore. The way to make pokemon better is not to take away what made it fun in the first place.

      • The game still has to have rewards. It can’t be all grind and boring, hard challenges with no fun. But give kids somehing to look forward to once they complete the challenge. And that reward will be much greater if the kid found a unique way to get over that challenge hisself/ herself with their dope a** pokemon that they caught and trained by exploring new routes

  7. Outside Castform and the Kami/Forces of Nature I think we need more weather wind and storm elemental Pokemon

I had an idea of a simple Cloud with goggles Water/Flying with Drizzle

This is kinda similar to its counterpart Solasma which is a Fire/Electric living mote of solar energy which only has Drought for its ability

  8. Y I think SM will represent the counterpart of Xerneas and Yveltal ? ….that’s y. https://lovelustandlaptops.files.wordpress.com/2015/06/yggdrasil-asgard-tableau-688.jpg
I don’t know which on of these bird represent Yveltal but most likely the small one ,
Hraevelg – The great eagle of the north who creates the wind. His name means ‘The Corpse Eater’. for me this could be the sun legend and Corpse Eater is a good sign though.

let’s talk about bad sign …The hardships of Yggdrasil include the four stags (which eat away at its branches), rotting wood along its trunk, and Nidhogg eating away at its roots. for me eating root is bad and evil sign so the sage pokemon which I draw last time it will be pokemon moon but we shouldn’t forget Nidhogg The great serpent of Niflheim. Is said to eat away at the roots of Yggdrasil, and exchange insults with the eagle atop Yggdrasil via Ratatosk. so yeah maybe moon legendary will be this serpent.
