The Pokémon Company has officially announced Pokémon Sun & Pokémon Moon versions in today’s Pokémon Direct.
The two games will launch in 2016 Holiday for 3DS

Pokémon Sun & Moon are compatible with Pokémon Bank and Pokémon can be transferred to Sun and Moon from the Virtual Console games. It will also be possible to transfer Pokémon from Pokémon X & Y and ORAS, using Pokémon Bank. The games will be playable worldwide in 9 languages.
The official site has confirmed that Sun and Moon will arrive with “a new world, new Pokémon, and new adventures to discover”. New Pokémon and region/s are confirmed! In addition to this the press release for the UK specifically states that Sun and Moon are a “new generation of Pokémon game”.
For those with a keen eye: the trailer appears to tease a new bird Pokémon with a similar appearance to Fletchling.

So I hope we get a villain team that I am actually scared of just saying must of us played pokemon when we were wee little lads and lassies I would like to see the baddies take my starter from me and I actually have to win him back or they actually do succeed in their plan and flee back to Kalo where I have One more chance to stop them
That would be cool, although, in my opinion, Cyrus was frightening to me. He wanted to change the world, strip humanity of what makes us human, and that felt terrifying to me. I always imagine what it would be like, no emotions, no soul, just plain, boring. It makes me shiver every time.
Yes, Cyrus was the most threatening boss. I wasn’t honestly sure what Ghetsis wanted.
I will admit though, lying about his intentions, making them innocent, such as freeing Pokemon, was interesting.
He was interesting. And he looked pretty cool.
Gen 5 had the best story I hope Gen 7 has one just as interesting. Sorry to say but Gen 6 story was pathetic even for kids.
True, although I did like Lysandre and how gray his intentions were. They were innocent, somewhat justified, just wrong and evil int he way he executed it.

Ghetsis wanted power. He wanted to strip everyone but himself of pokemon. He got off on hurting others and feeling in control, just look at the way he treats N.

Although, I will admit, I tend to like villains that are more gray, that could be right but are doing things in the wrong way, like Lysandre. It reflects the real world that way. There are no heroes and villains here, it’s all about perspective, who wins and loses.
He wanted to take over the world while pretending to free Pokemon by freezing some cities and catching some legendaries.
It would be cool if the choices you make would have different consequences/outcomes in regards to the evil team.
Late, but for those who asked: the Japanese text that comes up in the Japanese trailer/direct is literally just subtitles for the English narration.
So i saw the japanese logos for sun and moon and they look so much more awesome than english but thats expected. But im still hype as fuck right. I think we might get an actual trailer in the near future. Like within the next few days.

I’m kind of hoping it’s based somewhere East of France. Maybe the whole sun theme can represent Egypt down below and the moon for the Northern regions that get less sunlight – who knows, but I’m excited either way!

No, but based on an image that shows some kind of building and fountain, I presume the region will be somewhat tropical. But that’s just me.

So assuming the games come out in December, we have about 10 months to go.

No clue. There is that one where they rarely show anything and there is Oho Suta which I don’t know when airs, which usually shows some neat promos.
It changes names every once in awhile. Last time I remember, they didn’t really reveal anything new, just talked about what was already revealed

There’s a handful of bad designs in every gen, and a handful of good designs in every gen. 🙂
Gen V did lack some inspiration and final touch to almost all pokemon.
Gen VI felt fresher, but still I did like those little monkeys. Found them really cute.

Well, I wouldn’t say that Sun and Moon were ruined by the trademark stuff yesterday. Just because they trademark something doesn’t mean it’s coming. We all know the list of game titles that haven’t been used. Personally, I was excited just from the actual confirmation.

I completely understand. I would’ve loved even a copy and paste of the X and Y reveal trailer. A little walking around, the starters, the cover legendaries. That would’ve been a perfect start to this one too. It would give a lot more to talk about but we can always hope for something in CoroCoro.

Haven’t been on I the last 2 hour or so and don’t have a lot of time to scroll threw the comments that being said idk if someone already made this speculation: I kind of don’t want to be right but I do believe we are in gen 7 and it’s not 6.5 cause of all the past games they name were all next gen from 1996 to 2013 and never mention sequels or remakes.
