Americans can now head out to their local McDonald’s for not only a cheeseburger, but also an elusive legendary Pokémon! Hoopa is now available as an event download at participating restaurants and will be available until December 23rd. All generation VI games are able to receive the Pokémon (X/Y/OR/AS), so bring them all!
Here are the details for the Hoopa being distributed:
- Level: 50
- Ability: Magician
- Moves: Hyperspace Hole, Psychic, Astonish, Nasty Plot
Although I’m not partial to its normal form, I definitely love Unbound Hoopa’s design. One of you better grab an extra one for me 😉

Any idea if this is coming to Canada too? I’ve been keeping an eye on my local McDonalds but thus far the only promo details have been for the Peanuts movie. 😐
When it was out in the uk, I got like 2 for me then 2 for my gf. Then when the Zoroark event came out, I asked for 4 of the “Pokemon event” and the guy gave me 4 Hoopas as well, was a pretty happy guy

You don’t need to go to McDonalds to get Hoopa!
All you have to do is change your SSID (wireless network name) to “McDonalds Free WiFi” and remove security by setting it to “None”. I just got 2 Hoopas for X and Alpha Sapphire! All credit goes to the crafty people of /vp/ for this one.

I literally just drove by there and the one McDonald’s i went to didn’t seem to have a signal out…..or I wasn’t close enough…..well either way if I don’t have to drive back there later (didn’t have time toi keep trying today) then I’ll b happy lol

I used the same connection, but I just changed the SSID name to exactly what I said above and changed security to “None”. Don’t worry, it can be changed back at any time.

I’m pretty sure the way McDonalds distributes these things is by giving out a different one every week/every few days, and the “better” ones are closer to the end of distribution. You can usually ask what their distribution schedule is.

do you know if is there a way to use Hoopa Unbound in WiFi battles? I cannot have it in my battle box, cause It returns to its original form 🙁
