Nintendo’s “Cyber Deals” are bananas

nintendo-2015-black-friday-toadThese sales are bananas! B-A-N-A-N-A-S! That’s a Gwen Stefani reference, just fyi. While most of you are celebrating Thanksgiving (enjoy the time with your family!), others are only thinking about how much they will be able to save on GAMES! If you’re one of those people, it might be a good time to bolster your Nintendo 3DS & Wii U libraries. There’s a full run-down of titles on the official website, but here are some standouts:

  • The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD: Although originally the target of criticism from fans who didn’t like the new graphics, it is probably safe to say this is not only a classic Legend of Zelda title, but also a landmark game in its own right
  • Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate: Why catch monsters when you can kill them and use their corpses to craft awesome new weapons?! A series with a somewhat steep learning curve, but fun for those gamers that enjoy a challenge and a bit of grinding
  • Rune Factory 4: One of my favorite DS franchises, Rune Factory, got one 3DS game before its developer eventually went bankrupt. It is a mix of Harvest Moon, with all its farming glory, and dungeon-diving action RPG adventuring. Take a chance on it!

The sales end on Wednesday, December 2nd so take a look to see if there’s something you’ve been waiting to buy! The prices are only valid in North America, although I’m sure Europe will also get some deals.

  1. I’ve always wanted ot get Captain toad, but never had the time to play and it just never seemed to happen. Maybe I’ll finally take the plunge this week and buy it.

  2. Back to the subject of the other article;
    Many people come and talk about Nintendo-related news in the comments section. So from that perspective it makes sense that PJN would embrace and take advantage of that demographic. That being said, most people come here for Pokemon so as long as that vision isn’t lost then I’m okay with it. I will say though that a lot of the spark and life of this site has disappeared. Yes, there has been a news drought but that’s not the sole reason. We need those interactive articles back, the stuff that made us come back for more during slow news times. I know the staff is very busy and small, but why not have tryouts for new article writers? There’s a lot of talent from people that are daily visitors from this site. Until that comes back, the interactivity and community aspect of this site, it will never be as lively as it used to be, even when we get a new game announcement. It’s still been dead even after the new Zygarde information. Just my 2 cents.

  3. Nice! I love the new site and design. Pokemon news is getting slow, so I don’t blame you guys for moving to Nintendo News. Essentially, we all love Nintendo games, so it feels right. 😀

  4. Just curious. Can I get an answer for why there’s no Super Mystery Dungeon article and the interactive articles have vanished?

    1. SMD article just hasn’t happened, I suppose. That might change within hours though. Lack of interactive articles is simply just down to me and Paul having little free time.

      As I said on the other post, we’re essentially a two man team at the moment, both working full days. We’ll be back. Soon. 😉

  5. Oh crap what happened to disqus?!?!?!?!? We can’t go back to the archaic days of this type of commenting!!! lol
