Good news for future Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire owners! The Eon Ticket which allows access to Southern Island, and subsequently the chance to catch Latios or Latias, will be able to be shared to other 3DS users via the 3DS’s StreetPass feature. This allows those who are unable to get a code or download will be able to through friends or strangers that did. The code doesn’t expire.
How the Eon Ticket will first be distributed has yet to be announced for English fans, although there will be codes for Japanese gamers in a CoroCoro publication.

You know what I just decided? I’m going to restart my FireRed right now and soft-reset for shiny legendary birds and Mewtwo, as well as just enjoying the game again!

I could get a starter, Lugia, Ho-oh, Entei, Raikou, Suicune (although i already have those 3 b/c of the event), Mewtwo, the shiny birds, Kyogre/Groudon (cant remember which), Rayquaza, & Latias/Latios

Well you’d have to start Fr/Lg or Emerald at some point to get shiny deoxys :3 (if you have a gameshark that is)
Hmm. I already restarted Black a while ago, so that covers Gen 5. I will probably restart Platinum this weekend as well, covering Gen 4 (Azelf, Uxie, Mesprit, Heatran, why am I still explaining this). Restarting HeartGold would then cover the rest of the bases, right? (except for the Regis and Groudon, but I’ll restart Emerald too).

Just for the record, in the DEMO!! everything was shiny locked and shiny texture locked… meaning, NOTHING in the game if you edited it somehow could be shiny. We know NOTHING about what they are going to do with the shiny locks. Chances are some will be some will not be. Regis, most likely not. Reshiram/Zekrom.. we know that for a fact

The starters are different. They play no ROLE in the story except as your first pokemon

nope, they thought it was weird how the legendary isn’t shiny, then when you battle it, it is.
It’s like somebody not wearing glasses in a scene, then suddenly the camera goes away and comes back and that person is wearing glasses and has their hair up. Continuation issues.

Except for the bonus disc Jirachi (which only made it extremely hard to catch it, but it was intended to be shiny locked i think), and event legendaries who really don’t play a part in the story either…
Mostly The legendaries that are shiny locked have a cutscene so they are probably want it to be shiny locked to match the cutscene
