Base Stats for New Mega Evolutions Allegedly Posted with Hoopa Form Change

Bond697, Slashmolder, Kaphotics, and SciresM from Project Pokémon have posted stats for the new Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. Take these with a grain of salt, but based on their track record with X/Y ROM information they are plausible. They have also posted a what is supposedly a form change for Hoopa.

  1. Who remembers a time when the 3DS was said to be Unhackable, but then they released Pokemon and the rest as they say….is history

  2. So… How do we know that we will get 7 more Mega Evolutions? Also, I believe that we will have Mega Gorebyss, Mega Huntail, Mega Flygon and… (?)

  3. So I was gone for a long time (4 days) and it looks like a lot has happened since then. Does anyone know where to find all the leaks?

  4. I KNEW IT the new megas are made to balance the extremely OP pokemon they saw in online rating battles, tournaments and etc

  5. ORAS adding all new megas will definitely cause a new tier, if not TWO new tiers to be added to competitive. (smogon)
I think there will be one for the weaker Ubers Pokemon like Aegislash, Mawile, and Kangaskhan, and add some stronger OU Pokemon such as Greninja, Talonflame, Wash Rotom, and Gengar. Also they should add some of the new megas that are stronger. (Swampert, Lopunny, Salamence, Beedrill) I propose they call the tier AU. (Always Used)
Ubers will be reserved for stronger Pokemon such as the Mega Mewtwos, Mega Rayquaza, the Primal Reversions, Xerneas, Ho-oh, Lugia, The Giratinas, Darkrai, etc. Next, have a tier is for Pokemon in BL and the stronger OU and weaker UU, and especially ALL OF BL. (Pokemon like Volcarona, Victini, Zygarde, Weavile, etc. (Pokemon that are too strong for UU and too weak for OU)) BL is getting so large it can almost be a playable tier. Call the tier something like SU. (sometimes used)
If smogon does this right, ORAS will be balanced in with competitive perfectly.

  7. Gyms will be easier. Voltorb doesn’t self destruct any more. And Wattson doesn’t use Parafusion instead opting for an Elsa style approach and Volt Switching everywhere.

  8. First 5 Gym Leaders have Pokemon with lower levels than the Originals. The last 3 are higher level.

Winona’s Altaria doesn’t have Dragon Dance any more.

  9. Ratings battles will no longer allow kalosian/hoennian pokemon starting ORAS, which means any move tutor pokemon prior are illegal, along with legends from past games.

Of course, this has no impact on you if you don’t play ratings, because you can still bring over all your pokemon and fight against friends kalosian/hoennian or not

  10. I don’t know if E4 move sets are anywhere.

Does Sydney still have Intimidate Mightyena
Does Phoebe still Protect Pressure Dusclops to eat away at PP
    Does Glacia still use Hail
    Is Drake still a beast.
