UPD: Dragon Type has been added to the tournament!
After numerous delays, over one hundred intense battles we finally have our very first PokéJungle Champion. We’re still awaiting results for the third place winner, expect details on that soon!
Without further ado, we;re very proud to announce that Maple of the Ecruteak Group is our 2014 PokéJungle Champion. From the entire PokéJungle Team and all of our readers, we congratulate you on your victory and can’t wait to see you participate in future tournaments! Second place in the tournament was taken by Lasgorndalf of Fallarbor Group, with the winner for third place still to be determined.
A full winners ceremony post including battle videos will be made available as soon as possible, with full team and tournament analysis to be completed by NL in the coming days. We’ll also have a tournament review and feedback article available soon for you guys to tell us what you liked and disliked about the tournament, as well as providing vital feedback to us.
Once again we congratulate not Maple on their victory in our first and largest PokéJungle Tournament, but to everyone who has been part of this massive event. Things haven’t run as smoothly as we wanted, but it’s been an amazing experience for everyone involved and we can’t wait to see all of our readers take part in future community events.

October ’14 Tournament
Some of you remember that we previously teased that we would be bringing additional smaller tournaments to the site, today we’re pleased to partially announce the next tournament! Expect full details in the coming days, with sign-ups opening very soon.
This tournament comes from the mind of DefensiveBastiodon (with a little direction from me that I wanted themed tournaments ;)). This tournament (as of yet unnamed) will feature seven types only: Ghost, Dark, Psychic, Bug, Fairy, Dragon and Poison. All battles will be in the VGC Double 4v4 style.
As we said, we’ll bring more details very soon so potential participants can sign up and have a month to construct their teams. Stay tuned!

I know, for mine, you can’t get a room to yourself really. Like, there’s an apartment-style type of room and you have your own ‘bedroom’ and you share a living room, kitchen, and bathroom with 3 others who have their own ‘bedroom’ so that would be the closest thing
But I have a suite-style, so I share a room with one other and a bathroom with 2 others next door (the bathroom is in between). But luckily, the girls on the other side didn’t move in, so me and my roomie have the bathroom to ourselves >:D It is so nice

Mine is not from the same high school, but I know her from Drum Major camp so we decided to room together and we requested each other 😀
And also, when you register for housing from my college, they list preferences that you have to answer so they can find someone that has similar ones to you (like what temp do you want the room at, do you like your room messy or clean, etc.)
I almost got a dorm by myself this year but it was super expensive where I’m living. I wish I had done it last year though 😛
I hope so too; I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately. I don’t even allow my own family in my space most of the time, and I would certainly yell at my roommate if they mess it up at all. I would basically refuse to be paired with a slob, whether moderate or severe.
Tl;dr: I’m not good with strangers or slobs, and most people are strangers and slobs. xD

Well, I know when I registered for housing, they asked me questions about my preferences so that they could match me with someone with similar preferences (like the room being messy or clean/hot or cold). Hopefully wherever you go, they do the same :3

And also, when we were roomed in, our RA made us sign a roommate agreement contract, where we list certain things like that and what time is study time/sleep time, and what to share, and other things like that. That way, when you get into conflicts and go to the RA, she pulls out the contract we signed and helps us adjust it, if need be, or help resolve it.

Not for mine xD There are boys and girls on my floor…it’s just that I have to have a girl roommate and girl suitemates cause we’re sharing a bathroom.
So, can I ask how everyone team builds? My process consists of a few easy steps:
Step 1- “oh I really like than poke I’ll breed one.
Step 2- repeat saying step 1 without completing it for the next three days.
Step 3- breed the pokemon I talked about in step one.
Step 4- repeat step one with a new poke before finishing the previous poke.
I haven’t done competitive yet, so I dunno how I do it.
But I will start after ORAS comes out….Mega Lopunny practically made me want to. And I’ve been starting to change my mind about not doing comp because of PJN really

Awesome. I’ve tried to train myself to think that way but when I do it just ends up devolving into a “I like kittehs” kind of mindset where I throw everything planned out of the window.
1.)Find a pokemon or style i want to center around aka mega sceptile.
I completely focus on that one pokemon and make a certain build and such of my choice
2.) Notice the weaknesses of the pokemon and find good pokemon to counter them.
3.) As i repeat step 2 i add it status checks and priority checks
4.) Test on showdown if synergy is good or bad
5.) edit and adjust
6.)profit
also i build around the style of 3 physicals 3 specials
with 1 special wall and 1 physical wall MINIMUM
Step 1 – Milotic
Step 2 – Use Pokes that I like that have great chemistry with Milotic
Step 1) Charizard X
Step 2) Chansey, Skarmory, and Rotom
Step 3) Priority
Step 4) Whatever I feel like using
Step 1.) find a pokemon a love (for example, banana tree)
Step 2.) breed good banana tree
Step 3.) Tell banana tree I love it
Step 4.) I propose to my beautiful banana tree
Step 5.) We set a date for our wedding
Step 6.) We get married

Honestly looking at it. I would want the gale wings version. It wouldn’t be on the talonflame level of stupid because it wouldn’t take effect the turn you mega evolve it but still another gale wings user? Yes. And a Gale Wings user that I actually have deep feelings for? YES.
I would try and spam Thunder Wave with my Klefki on the opponent’s team, then come in with Mega Tropius and spam Air Slashes hoping to get haxes XD I think it also has access to Body Slam so that can work well with paralyzing

With regards to your ability idea, I think 1/16 damage per turn (not per Pokemon, so just 1/16) is already pretty balanced. And it should stack with Sandstorm or Hail.
