A new Japanese trailer has been released showing many new locations 🙂 There are also a few hints about the game that we’ve translated:
- The journey will focus on discovering what exactly Mega Evolution is
- Archie says to the main character, “Y’know, your Pokémon aren’t the only ones that can Mega Evolve”

I am SO in love with the cutscenes! And then when Groudon causes the drought, there’s a whole pool of lava under him in the ocean :O
Steven Stone is a prime example of moving as far away from your parents as possible. His daddy lives and works in Rustboro. Steven lives clear on the other side of the region

Idk if anyone has mentioned this, but the other day I think I saw people talking about the bridges that r in Sootoplis City on the new map. It looks like from what this trailer showed us maybe those aren’t what we thought they were? If they were bridges then wouldn’t we have seen them in the trailer around the gym?
What sootopolis bridges are people talking about? You had to surf to get to the gym.
On the new map it kinda looks like there are bridges connecting the gym island with the rest of Sootopolis city.

I don’t know if anyone noticed this but upon re-watching the trailer it looks like not only does it show your trainer actually diving on a wailmer but also shows wailmer when you surf on one too! I guess Wailmer is the Lapras of ORAS.

I think the Sharpedo Sub implies both a mega and that the Team Magma storyline may be more similar to Emerald than Ruby seeing as a Camerupt sub is gonna look pretty darn silly…. looks like there hideout may be in Mt Coronet after all although i could be wrong but seriously… Camerupt sub?

I never played Emerald. How were the stories different?
Well both team Magma and Aqua were antagonists and shared the storyline except Team Magma’s base was found below Mt Chimmney and Aquas was in the Lilycove Base. It made so much more sense and the fact that the submarine is customised as a shrapedo makes it seem like this may happen in ORAS as a camerupt sub really would look very silly. However then the question of how Team Magma would get to the undersea cavern comes to mind but then again they might have moved Groudon? Who knows.
I do think there base will be in Mt Chimmney though. It was such a nice addition in Emerald and made so much more sense for Magma- i always wondered in Ruby why a land obsessed team would have a base built by the sea..
