I’m honestly a bit surprised that we’re not getting a normal Nintendo Direct in August. If this was something like the Mario Kart 8 Direct where it’s a first-party game, it would justify adding some other first-party content. But instead it will probably be a lot like the Wonderful 101 Direct, as Hyrule Warriors is not being developed by Nintendo. However, as somebody on Nintendo Life said, maybe we’ll get an announcement of Ganondorf’s return to Smash or something?
I think they’re through with “normal” directs though?
Well, I don’t know how else we’d get new game announcements and things from now until June. We also need updates on release dates for Mario Maker, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Splatoon, Yoshi’s Woolly World, things like that.
I mean, I think they do only game-specific Directs now… though I bet pre-holiday they’ll have a multi-game one since I don’t think they can talk about Mario Party and Captain Toad for 30 minutes each…

Since I’m probably not going to advance in PJT I can talk about the things I can do in my team now (without talking about the Pokemon my opponents had of course)!
1. IF I had Fake Out on Kanga, I would’ve had a better chance in all of my losses. Earthquake did NOTHING on it. When I was breeding it was earthquake vs fake out… grr…
2. Hariyama was not a good sleep absorber, I should’ve stuck to my guns and put in Swampert. But hey, at least I can say I bred one.
3. Azelf exploding is the best! It’s so funny.
4. Dusclops isn’t as great as I thought it was.
5. Landorus is the bomb! It was funny how just some time ago people were talking about “people still use Landorus-I??” and it’s fun to run a special set because they aren’t very expected.

Another Reason I lost is because I sacked off My ditto too early in all my rounds
today my friend asked me what the best pokemon is. I said it depends on the team and moves. He asked whats the best for an “all out attacking team” I told him thats the worst possible thing you could have in a battle. I explained to him about spiky shield and sucker punch. So he said he has a good team. I battled it before using my play through team and the worst thing that happened was he used camoflauge and i had nothing to counter it. I now learned about counters to that so I told him he had to update his team. It’s hard being a competitive battler with non competitive friends XD
I’m competitive but I’m mostly great in theory fighter 🙂 and VGC rather than singles.
My actual results are less than impressive, but I persist!

I’ve been a fan since red version but i have never ever understood what competitive battles are!! -_- is it when you use 6iv pokemon in battle?
It’s when you battle online using EV trained Pokémon.

Well first you have to build the team. I like using the team builder in simulators like Pokemon Showdown so I don’t need to breed it and see it doesn’t work.
I would pick a Pokemon I like and build a team around it.
For example, I like Azumarill, so I would add team members that beat its counters. I’d have something like Excadrill to tank grass, steel and electric attacks for it. A grass-type like Mega Venusaur to absorb (again) electric and grass, while eliminating opposing Water Absorb or Storm Drain Pokemon.
Then I would probably put in support Pokemon or good switch-ins for Azumarill’s partners. In that example, I may have added Mandibuzz because it is immune to Psychic and Earthquake, problems for Venusaur and Excadrill, repsectively. Then Volcarona because I want some fire attacks, and finally… maybe Ferrothorn to put up my Stealth Rocks.
I wish I could draw so I could share my mental images with you people and the rest of the world.

Went on the AppStore to update an app then something caught my eye. This game called micromon. Hm. Micro. Like pocket. Pocketmonstor. I desided not to jump to conclusions and checked screenshots. SHAMLESS POKEMON RIPOFF! This makes me mad because it shows that most developers today can’t come up with their own ideas.
I’ve seen different versions of pokemon on fb, my friends play it but when i talk about pokemon they laugh at me until i point out that they have been playing the same game as me but theres is crap ripoff loL!
AND ITS THE SECOND MOST DOWNLOADED PAID APP ON THE CHARTS!
I’m so ticked off. If it’s so hard to come up with game ideas, don’t be a developer. This is why I love nintendo. At lease they can come up with their own ideas

I agree. It’s a total Pokemon rip off even with the -mon part in the name. There’s even the black surfer guy with blue hair >.> I would very much prefer that People go out and buy Pokemon X and a 3DS rather than support a knockoff. To be fair, they have their own fakemon and characters which would be cool – IF it was a free fan game with no microtransactions. Pokemon could actually sue them for copyright because they’re making a profit off of Pokemon’s ideas.

It’s not about them coming into your room. It’s about them teaching you responsibility and looking after yourself. Your parents won’t always be there.
They just want to make your life easier once you’re our there in the real world. Unless you’re rich enough to afford a maid…you’re going to have to clean up after yourself at some point in life so best to start now…so it doesn’t come as a shock to you.

3.I beat the game

thats an awesome team! i had mega lucario and blastoise on my team too! but I caught it as a riolu on route 3? i think it was 3. but keep in mind that this won’t be a very viable comp team. you can still use it, but I recommend choosing one pokemon then building a team around it to support it

dude, thats not how it works. If you are doing competetive, you need to focus on two stats. then a tiny bit in a third. its usually 252/252/4 so like for talonflame, a common ev set up is
252speed/252attack/4sp.def

That’s not really competetive tbh. You have to get Egg moves, EV’s, IV’s, items, Abilities/HA’s, and just not all attacking moves.
i will change their movesets in the future, but this is my current to team

Rather than harshly criticizing about your favorite Type, I say go for it! I think is a “cool” type, anyhow (get it? Cool? No? K) And, plus, it’s Super Effective against my type of Choice (Dragon) The first 2 Pokemon I overheard you having on your team are pretty solid, as well! Walrein simply won’t faint EVER (I fought one yesterday #Struggle) Froslass has a good ability and a solid typing, as a good Special Attack. Another Ice you can use, if you haven’t considered it already, is Glaceon! It has rather excellent bulk (110 Def and 95 Sp Def, I think) and Base 130 Sp Atk! Best of Luck on your Ice Type Team!
