Don’t forget to check out our Corocoro updates here and here!
Much, much later than we wished to, we’re bringing our readers the penultimate update on the 2014 PokéJungle Tournament before the first battles commence. We’ve decided to make some changes to the format of the tournament to help with how it’ll run when we begin later this month.
PJT ’14 Format Changes
At the end of May we announced that our tournament would run over five rounds, with players earning points in each round and the top 8 players after all rounds proceeding to three elimination rounds, this has now changed.
The changes we’ve made have been done so to remove the pressure of having to be available for the entire period of the tournament. Players will now be placed into groups, in these groups every player will battle one another once. When all battles have been completed (and tie-breakers completed if necessary) the top player from each group will move forward into the elimination rounds.
Players will need to confirm participation below so we can finalise groups and group balancing before the start date of the tournament. Group stage battles will take place over the same dates as the Rounds were previously planned to take place, with a maximum of three groups battling at any time. All match-ups posted before now are to be ignored.
As it stands any drop outs will no longer be filled by stand-ins, until we announce otherwise.
We have also decided to push the tournament start date back. This is to allow participants time to confirm their entry (see below) and for us to finalise players in each group.
Lavender, Camphrier & Driftveil Group Battles – July 23 — July 27
Canalave, Sunyshore & Cinnabar Group Battles – July 28 — August 1
Ecruteak, Fallarbor & Lumiose Group Battles – August 2 — August 6
Goldenrod, Undella. & Rustboro Group Battles – August 7 — August 11
Final Elimination Rounds – August 13 onwards.
Participant Entry Confirmation
It has been a while since we first opened sign-ups to the tournament, and it’s likely some of those who signed-up are now unable to take part, or simply do not wish to. As such we’ve decided that participants must now confirm their entry using the form below by July 17. Those who do not do so will be removed from the tournament and unable to participate. If you have changed your username since this list was created please inform us and we will change it accordingly.
The following participants are required to fill out the form:
weavileforthewin • EarthenWarrior • Javi Wonka ツ • Miniryu-NInja • RocketClauncher
simkenno • Roksyth • ShinyLickitung • Pokeminion • UmbreonLifts • Edgaroth • Rheneas

As always we invite our readers to ask any questions they may have about the tournament or raise any problems or issues they may have. Don’t forget to Like us on Facebook and Follow us on Twitter where you can contact us and get the latest Pokémon news and updates!
I have a feeling the scarlet might be the real villain of this season.
I think so as well.
I think she will be the reason that Max will get eliminated.
Maybe.
Why must spoilers tempt me ;~;
Maybe
._. Just when I thought I got Pokeball Vivillon (because I’m bored and wanted event Pokemon), that guy offered me perfect shiny Pokeball Vivillon in a FREAKING Pokeball. I refused, wasted 30 minutes. That’s not what I agreed to. >:(
Is esport seriously a thing? Is pokemon an esport?
Esport?
google it. I seriously did not expect it to be a real thing
LMAO ppl are rude.
My friend goes “Heavy, my friends keep asking me for my diancie I keep telling them no! They say why and I tell them ‘i dunno.. maybe its cause you’re ugly'” I’m so done… I’m literally barking right now. Twitter is too live.
Your diction of describing your laughter gets wilder as time goes by.
LOOL
“Twitter is too live.” -Heavy 2014
Twitter is full of ratchet’s and internet gangsters. Wayyyy to much drama. I’m not familiar with the Pokemon community except for shofu. Maybe I should stay off the ratchet part.
Yeah, I rarely log on to my personal twitter anymore.. too much drama & ratchet.. but the pokeworld of twitter is really funny, like someone just posted “chlamydia is such a pretty name for a girl” LIKE WTF
Off topic: do you have a job .3. Just curious.
of course I do! I work for the state
my reg 9 to 5 mons-fris. what about you?
What do you do .e.
I guess that’s a no lol. You didn’t answer my question XD
And that’s personal. I don’t know you like that.
Well dangggggg it’s not like I know where you live! I was just curious on what type of job you have XD this is a Pokemon site. Not seem seedy place off Craigslist, I don’t know your real name or the state you live. so it’s not like I can find you.And I didn’t see that you edited your comment till I refreshed. I’m currently looking for a job right now. But, I’m about to go to uni soon. Sheesh
ooh congrats! and you’d be surprised what kind of ppl lurk on this site. As well as people that can sap your IP address. There was someone on serebii’s chat room who told me exactly what city & state I live in when I was trolling him on a bored night lol. It’s already bad enough ppl know my first name here as well as BOTH of my twitters. And hope ya find a job soon!
So I need some advice about that. I went to my university orientation and it sucked! I was home sick, anti social cause I didn’t know those mofo’s and the bed’s were hard and thin! I don’t know if I’m ready to be far away from home on my own. Maybe should I went to community college first.
That would’ve def been the way to go. And jobwise – I here “apple from home” is hiring through their website, one of my buddies just started there so he works from home now lol, assiting ppl on the phone. He needs me to hook me up lol
So uni than .e. Which one did you go too? :>
*too
Poor ella ;~;
I hate Sugar ;-;
XDDD I Stan for sugar! She is dope. But Ella didn’t deserve that
At least Ella wasn’t boring :3 *cough*sky,dave*cough*
There basically a copy cat of mike and Zoey -_- they gotta go next.
I wanna tell u something about them but is a spoiler XD XD XD(yes,I saw all episodes in italian :p)
NOOOOOOOOOO *flees*
I won’t tell u :3 here I will talk only about first 6 eps :3 Ep 3 was amazing <3
FAVORITE EPISODE OF THE WHOLE SEASON ONLY BECAUSE OF THE ELIMINATION.
The twins should’ve stayed more :p
^ YAS GURL YAS ^
They should come back and be in finale :3
Well, everyone is xD
Everyone comes back for the finale.
SPOILER: dont get your hopes up 🙁
STOP
I WANTED TO BE SPOILER FREEP
TYSM :/
i said spoiler before hand….
You’re supposed to make it so that the comment says “read more” by spacing the lines a lot.
oh ya….. but its nothing big tho….
YES
But the water duel episode tho ;~;
WHY AMY. WHY U DO DAT.
I was expecting Sammy to go the finals and then Amy came back…
I wanted a Amy vs Samey finale <3 <3 <3 I love both Amy/Samey
Hopefully they’re in the next season!
They should be in Total drama presents:The Ridinculous Race(based on The Amazing Race)
I know. It’s Season 5.5 (it’s technically a while new series at the same time of total drama)
Now, that’s what PI is. TRR is season 6.
I suggested that ;~;
They’re cool. Just stupid copies.
They’re boring like Mike,Zoey. Sky only interacted with Dave :p
Mike and Zoey are amazing. Personalities great, plot great, interactions great.
What’s your name on chatango? I can tell u why I hate them :p
pokemaster4488, but I can’t check my PMs atm.
It’s usually the peculiar characters that get eliminated earlier on.
I’m surprised she stayed as long as she did.
There’s a lot of werido’s the time around though.
Well I hope Honey Bo- I mean, Sugar stays longer.
My favorite characters always get eliminated early or unfairly ;-; (Dawn,Courtney,Amy,Samey,Bridgette,Lindsay)
Ella needed to stay longer! Her personality was amazing! :C
Hey guys, sorry for posting that “comment” yesterday.Looking at it now it seemed out of context and I thought some would get the reference.Good thing it was deleted before some people saw it and get offended.
Which one.
LOL what was it about? I came on and saw that a comment was deleted XD
Let’s just say it had something to do with the holocaust.
Racism?????? :O
Not really racism more like i’ve seen a video that I thought was funny and decided to post it because I’ve been on FunnyJunk too long.
Oh my god…so evil
Is that sarcasm….or……….
like the holocauster item we get in XY?
Is it bad that I always read it as that?
-_______- Jew genocide
Not even close heavy
LOL I know was being ditzy XD
Slip, he’s naut that stupid. There are theories that revolve around Nazis/Team Flare and the Holocauster.
I know just the holocaust is very personal to my laugh so I don’t take it as a joke
Holo caster means it cast holograms
Sorry if I offended ya bud. Wasn’t my intention at all =/
The name is still close and Team Flare is ze Nazis.

What is the highest base power Dark type move? There are multiple answers.
Foul Play I believe
That’s one answer, but there are more with even higher BP due to circumstances.
Knock off 97.5 if the opponent has an item but 65 of they dont
Foul Play is 95
Correct. There are more answer.
Beat Up?
Not quite what I’m looking for.
Assurance i think as well
I know it doubles in power in some circumstance, and normally has a bp of 50 so…possibly 100 :3

Fun fact: absol is the only mega that doesn’t get every stat boosted! Only it’s attack, special attack and speed increased. Both of it’s defenses are still the same
Cite Serebii so you don’t get sued for copyright.
Wut .w.
…along with all other Pokemon Information sites.
Yeah. I’m confused with the serebii bashing the last few days and NOBODY has gave me a reason why. Seem’s like hatin/jealousy to me.
No, it’s just people keep advertising for it on PJ.
How? And Dicie post about his site all the time. So isn’t that advertising as well
It is his site. Plus it’s not as well known as Serebii. And people keep saying, “Go to Serebii to see pcs!!” And etc.
Well they do have more info and a compilation of screenshot’s. There just telling them were they can see it.
Not info or screenshots necessarily.

Ok. Still seems like hatin/jealously to me. But let’s just agree to disagree :3
It’s because when serebii makes movies summaries and stuff they say if you copy it, you are stealing and they’ll sue
What are you on about Chico?
XD I feel like I’m the only one that gets that.
It has just occured me that Lysandre has the coolest design among evil team leaders. Too bad, he has no backstory at all. I hope they reveal more about him in the third game, like his love affair with Sycamore.
I dunno, Ghetsis had a castle around his neck, hard to top that
Being cool and being epic are different things though. Lysandre has a style that noone in the Pokemon world ever had.
I actually like Archie’s and Maxie’s updated designs a lot-tied for first. I agree that Lysandre needs more backstory. We need to know what happened between he and Sycamore xD
Btw, don’t google “lysandre sycamore” at the google images, ooppssss ;))))
You’re right. I shouldn’t have.
Lysandre X Sycamore 4 lyfe.JK…I shouldn’t have XD
Why? *goes and starts to search*
I liked Cyrus’s design. It fit his personality to a tee.
I dislike Liza ans Skiddo nao.
They put spoilers here.
Go do it on PM!!!! YYRJD;GÂJÜKÕTED
Sugar wins. 😉
BTW this is a joke
I KNOW CAUSE I SAW STUPID SPOILERS
I HATE LEAKERS

Wait. Did we just spoil?

Searching “Lysandre sycamore,” I found this *refresh*
This is strangely awesome…
ew, no
Wow
It fits like a glove to Sycamore.
You have to add in the word, “yaoi” to get the umm… explicit results.
Yaoiiiiiiiiiiiiiii

YESSSSS!! THIS! THIS! That’s my fav yaoi couple
ROFLLLL!!!!!, the Pokemon amie one is hilarious!!!!!
Gooaalllll not -_-“
Shakira did a good job opening it .3. I’m not really a fan of her voice tho… ( some people say she sound’s like Kermit the frog)
Yeah. She got cursed by the evil throat froggy XD
The only song I really like from here is hips don’t lie. She was killing it!!!!!
OhhhOh! And empire off her new CD!!!!
The only song I know… actually, I don’t know any! :3
You dont know la la la la la la la la?
No. She utilizes a technique in which she displaces her larynx and lowers it to achieve that “fuller” effect. However, she lowers too hard, giving off that throaty, frog-like effect.
Liza. Zoey and Mike aren’t boring at all. Mike’s MPD + Zoey’s lonely personality and urge to fit in is GREAT!! And with their relationship? Yeah.
Who are Zoey and Mike?
-_-
Do you even Total Drama?
Oooh yeah. Im finally caught up 🙂
Okay good 🙂 But how did you not know who Zoey and Mike were?
TDI stuff
*TDROTI
… DO YOU NOT WATCH TD?
I thought he did, so I was surprised he didn’t know.
Ok.I respect your opinion but I still hate them :/.
Why? They’re interactions are amazing, and their personalities are unique.
I don’t understand why singers always go for the deep throat! Don’t they know it can permanently damage their voices?
…
Yeah idk xD
I’m not even gonna touch that one.
To earn money?
LOOLLLOLLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOOLO
And Liza, I don’t actually dislike you from earlier, you guys just spoiled even more for me ;-;
I’m SO sorry. At least your BFF didn’t spoil u the ENTIRE elimination order…(yeah my BFF spoiled the entire season..)
It’s fine, I guess. It ends this week anyways. But you shouldn’t watch leaks ;-;
