Continuing from yesterday, a few days ahead of its official street date this month’s issue of CoroCoro has begun leaking online. Characters
- Much like yesterday the images feature new artwork of Hoenn Gym Leaders. Brawly is featured alongside a Makuhita
- Professor Birch is back and will give you your starting Pokémon
- Returning Gym Leaders are also shown with their Pokémon
- Steven is the Champion and Sidney and Phoebe appear to be wearing Mega Evolution items
Story
- The new Pokédex is shown and takes on an appearance that is similar to both the original Hoenn Pokédex and a GameBoy Advance
- The Pokémon Amie feature (or one with the same functions) will make a return to the games
Contests
- Pikachu is shown with different outfits for the Pokémon Contests. The outfits shown are Idol, Doctor, Masked, Madam, and Hard Rocker
- Next month’s CoroCoro will feature more about Contests

WOW. I was puling the weeds and getting rid of the wild bugs in my Berry Garden in XY, and all of a sudden, there was a flash of light on the berry trees behind me, thus telling me that the berries were ready to be harvested. I HAD NO IDEA THAT COULD HAPPEN!!!

1. Dat Gym Leader/E4 designs. All have the look of change regardless of if they were or not. Like Phoebe. She looks the same yet different. And E4 have Mega items?! :O 😀 I can’t see Phoebe’s, but I think I see Sydney’s :3

I don’t think they are. The whole reason why the Kanto starters got Megas is because the Kalos ones didn’t. It’s a possibility tho.
well .. like you said… the kalos ones didn’t get them cause 6th gen pokes werent allowed to get megas yet… this game isnt about 6th gen mons… its a remake of the past ones.
Also, I think the dolls were a strong hint at them getting one. Not only that, but we actually received johto starters in emerald, I’m pretty content with saying they’ll get megas in this game.
You are striking a good point! I do remember receive a Johto Starter if you caught more than 200 Pokemon in your Pokedex! As I said it’s a possibility!

i really feel like mega shiftry wont happen because of “leaf stone” and out of the 36 mega’s we currently have – none of them previously evolve from evolutionary stones.

Thisis awesome! Contests are back! And you can dress up your pokemon(Not to be a buzzkill but thats just another thing Sinnoh did right)! I really like the pokedex! With it being shaped like a GBA.
I like the customisation feature (if that’s what you can call it) but I hope it’s not an integral part of the contests. That and the dancing thing is what I hated about Sinnoh contests.
I liked the dressing up part of Sinnoh contests….not the dancing, though, that can go away.
With me it’s just that I’m not a fan of character dressing up/customisation.
I liked customising secret bases though.
I just hope contests are easier to perform. I had no idea what I was doing in the Sinnoh Contests, and I’ve yet to try out the Hoenn Contests.
Hoenn contests are A LOT easier IMO. You’ll catch onto them really quickly.

I personally hope it is Juan because he trained Wallace and I think he was harder. Wallace should be the contest champ. It can be in every Master contest, Wallace is there with one of his Water types or, he is only in Master Beauty with Milotic.

So it seems the gym roster is based on ruby and sapphire and Wattson main is Magneton in RS
One thing that I hope they fix in OR/AS is how much you battle your rival. I would say you barley battle Brendan or May in the original games. Also, their teams were awful and were super easy to beat. I hope Game Freak toughed them a bit and made there battles a bit more frequent.

Which was one of my problems with X/Y. Yet, comparing Serena/Calem to Brendan/May to the number of battles Serena/Calem come out on top with five battles. You only battled Brendan/May four times.

i really hope customization returns.some people say it is just for x and y. but it felt like something that should be in every game. ever since i started my journey to become rebooted i always wanted customization. you cant give it to me and take it away.

I don’t think so! I think their just want to reveal more later one. As I said if Game Freak replaces people or removes this then it’s not going to be a true remake.
With the addition of Mega Evolution and Primal Regression, I don’t think you can call it a true remake.
Weeeeell that’s like saying HG and SS were not true remakes because of the pokeathlon, and the prevos/evos that didn’t exist first time around, and the new physical/special system. I think it’s a ‘true remake’ if the story and all the important characters basically remain the same.

Replacing Drake & Glacia would be tragedy. The game’s won’t be “full-on remakes” then like they said.
The idea of a Pokemon remake is too re-do the graphics engine to fit the newest handheld, but add in existing features like Amie & Mega Evolution etc. If they were to remove Drake & Glacia they’d pretty much be considered sequels.
I think Glacia & Drake are just being saved (maybe for next corocoro who knows) – but I don’t think they’d replace them. They have fanbases.
