Nintendo’s Digital E3 was broadcast earlier today and with it the company has shared a handful of details relating to new Pokémon games. Below you can find our coverage of the news, expect more throughout the day with in depth coverage just around the corner!
Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire
And full trailer has been shown for Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, showing Hoenn completely remade with 3D environments. Launching worldwide on November 21 in the US and November 28 in Europe!
In Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, Kyogre and Groudon are able undergo a process known as Primal Reversion. This allows the two Pokémon to revert into Primal Kyogre and Primal Groudon, and allows them to draw back power from nature and gain an even larger power boost. When undergoing Primal Reversion, Kyogre receives a boost to its Special Attack stat whilst Groudon become Ground/Fire type and gains a boosted Attack stat. Both Pokémon also seem to gain a boost to their abilities, although it’s not possible to confirm this yet.
Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will bring players even closer to discovering the secrets behind Mega Evolution, with players seeking out Pokémon capable of Mega Evolving and unlocking their incredible potential. More Mega Stones are said to be hidden across the Hoenn region. It also appears that there may be a link between Mega Evolution and Primal Reversion.
Below are a selection of screenshots and artwork showing the updated Hoenn region and the two legendary Pokémon undergoing Primal Reversion.
I have a feeling that the Smash Bros. artwork on the official site are the box arts for the respective versions.
Yes
Mega Man destroyed it!!!!!!!!!
I like Smash Run.
Reminds me of Super Training.
Aqua head= Gasp Meme! XD
Wow I know I am late at watching this new trailer, but WOW!!! Words cannot explain! I almost had a heart attack!!!
Kinda sad Fox has the same special
NOT THE LANDMASTER
I just noticed… that in a way, Yanmega & Mamoswine are in their regression forms. They evolve by learning “Ancient Power” XD
Funny how Ancient Power is shit on them LOL
Lol true.
Anyways, I even went on ahead and looked up their name origins and:
Meganeura monyi (a prehistoric large dragonfly)
and obviously being a wooly mammoth, is extinct..
Clever move Trollfreak. Too bad they probably won’t retcon them to regression forms.
“Probably.” Never know.
yeah but Yanmega and Mamoswine already have dex entries so I guess that’s out of question =(
No more region wars pls.
We weren’t having region wars…
Yes there were region wars.
Here?
Yup.
What how did I miss it?
Too distracted by hype.
It’s better you did. Don’t make a big deal pls
Yes we were. It’s over now, but we really need to accept all the regions for what they brought and changed to the Pokemon series. Both sides, including mine, need to understand this. No disrespect to anyone.
Splatoon looks pretty awesome after an in depth explanation of it

I like the text box’s theme like the original.
It gives me a little hope that text box designs come back. I miss those terribly.
Hmmmm, it doesn’t look like you are taking it from the bag when the Professor is getting chased
Yeah you are. The picture on Corocoro showed them in a bag.
AND also showed the wild zigzagoon that we have to battle with our starter (which confirms 1 zigzagoon will attack birch and not a horde like my dream LOL)
They’re all outside of the pokeball inside of the bag just chilling while Elm is crying.
Elm is crying
Birth is getting chased
BIRCH
BIRTH LOL
Gen 7 confirmed, new pokemon named Birth XD
and another named VWALAH!
Elm is crying cause Professor BIRTH called him and told him that he was being chased and Johto starters are Banned in Hoenn 😮
*hopelessly hopes that this means text box designs comes back*
