Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire Trailer and Details

Nintendo’s Digital E3 was broadcast earlier today and with it the company has shared a handful of details relating to new Pokémon games. Below you can find our coverage of the news, expect more throughout the day with in depth coverage just around the corner!

Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire

And full trailer has been shown for Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, showing Hoenn completely remade with 3D environments. Launching worldwide on November 21 in the US and November 28 in Europe!

In Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, Kyogre and Groudon are able undergo a process known as Primal Reversion. This allows the two Pokémon to revert into Primal Kyogre and Primal Groudon, and allows them to draw back power from nature and gain an even larger power boost. When undergoing Primal Reversion, Kyogre receives a boost to its Special Attack stat whilst Groudon become Ground/Fire type and gains a boosted Attack stat. Both Pokémon also seem to gain a boost to their abilities, although it’s not possible to confirm this yet.

Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will bring players even closer to discovering the secrets behind Mega Evolution, with players seeking out Pokémon capable of Mega Evolving and unlocking their incredible potential. More Mega Stones are said to be hidden across the Hoenn region. It also appears that there may be a link between Mega Evolution and Primal Reversion.

Below are a selection of screenshots and artwork showing the updated Hoenn region and the two legendary Pokémon undergoing Primal Reversion.

  1. These games are actually really cool but others are better. There are just addicting time wasting games for when you’re bored.

        • They kinda do. And it’s just a theory I have. Plus they wanted to keep the original outfits for the grunts.

          • I know but I have no clue what Team Magma is based on or look similar to. Team Aqua is obvious: pirates. I just call Team Magma hipsters because they look hipper (?) now.

          • Well, I dunno either. All I know is that Maxie and the hideout looks sciency. So I am going with that. Considering in the originals they seek a scientist to get the Meteorite and their hideout in Emerald had science equipment in it.
They might bring those back, so it was only natural for me to deduce that.

          • It wasn’t necessarily science equipment in their hideout but construction equipment as they were drills. They were looking for Groundon there. Though I will admit some of the equipment like the canisters looked like science equipment. Though this really isn’t important as Groudons new typing.
