E3 @ Retry Level

While we still put a huge amount of effort into making PokéJungle the best Pokémon site, we also spend our days trying to make the best gaming site we can. Over at Retry Level we’re covering all the latest and greatest from this years E3. There’s literally a tonne of video gaming related news dropping as you read this, and we’re providing live (or as near to live as we can, we’re only human!) coverage of it as it happens.

A small team of us from PokéJungle and a few others work on the site and we’d love for everyone to check it out and spread the PokéJungle Community. Our E3 coverage will run for the entirety of the expo, after which we will continue to provide gaming news until we grow into something truly special and unique. We’re also working on a HUGE redesign for Retry Level and we can’t wait until everybody can check it out.

Don’t worry though, as promised we will provide live coverage for Nintendo’s Digital Event here on PokéJungle tomorrow! So, what are you waiting for? Come join us on Retry Level!

Over the coming days for PokéJungle we’ve got tonnes of coverage of E3 and Pokémon news, the continuation of some of our articles series and updates for the PJ Tournament (possibly including the announcement of our Tournament Representatives ‘scheme’)

Stay tuned, and until ne- No.

  1. Nintendo has gotten saved by Pokemon and Mario for years now. People thought the 3DS was a complete waste until the new Mario and Pokemon titles were announced. They thought that a 3DS game would never sell millions yet X and Y sold 12 million. Hypocrites… lol

  3. How many copies do you think ORAS will sell? Will it pass the gargantuan 12 million by X and Y? I’m hoping anywhere from 2-4 million at the least.

    • I’m thinking that the first day the are out in store they will have more copies sold than x and y… But overall, I think they will definitely pass up the other sales.

    • It will definitely out sell XY. I’ve seen so many people overwhelmed by nostalgia that said they’re getting it.

But there is an annoying few on twitter that I’ve read say “I’ll be skippin out on ORAS, saving my money for Delta Emerald” and I’m like dude… Delta Emerald will not be a thing. Your money will keep on being saved forever lol.

      • If that many people bought a 3DS for X&Y, that many more people will buy a 3DS for ORAS, right? So I want to think that it will outsell based on logic.

      • That’s what my friend said when he waited XY out for the supposed Z. He finally got Y and said he couldn’t wait any longer.

  4. Pokemon is finally picking up! After the huge success of X and Y, I believe Pokemon will pass Mario as the #1 best selling franchise.

  5. I just want to get this thought out of the way. I hate how people attribute guns, extreme headshots and graphic violence to “maturity” in video games, when overcoming those primitive human needs is the true maturity. Nintendo represents the peace that most other video games have lost. I dunno. That’s all.

    • Overcoming what primitive needs. The need for violence, or the need to rate video games according to age?

Also I don’t think of it as maturity, more what we want people exposed to. I’m not a fan of the violent video games leads to violent people theory, however there are certain things that grown ups are less susceptible to than children.
The younger you are the less your brain is developed so the more things tend to stick with you and less conscious you are of the consequences of your actions.

  6. The last time we battle May/Brendan is in front of Lilycove Department and they don’t even have a final starter evolution =(

I’m hoping that gets changed this time. Maybe battle her/him again in Ever Grande City where they have the mega of the starter they chose?

  7. Pokemon X and Y: 12 mil.
    Pokemon ORAS: 8-13 mil.
    Pokemon Z: 5-8 mil
    Pokemon Generation 7: 8-14 mil.

    Total sales by 2016: 33-47 mil. in 3 years… :O

  8. Okay. Guys, what kind of gameplay footage do you think we will get tomorrow? What kind of footage are you HOPING for? I think we will get footoage of the mega evos and the protagonists running around in a city or route.

  9. Mario’s Strategy: Release 2-3 games per year
Pokemon’s Initial Strategy: Release a game every-other year, much more thought put in
Pokemon’s Present Strategy: Release a game every year

    Questions:
    1. Which has more thought put into it?
    2. Which takes more time?
    3. Which is more addictive? (Matter of opinion)

    • Also remember that mario has lots of different styles if games that all sell well. Also Some Mario games are also family games…so they can be enjoyed by a wider audience.

    • Mario games are a lot harder to me. Pokemon is really addictive though and I think requires more thought. Mario can go pretty fast though. Sorry I answered those out of order. (I really hope they announce the next Mario 3D land at E3. They’re my favorite of the mario games other than MK)

  10. To hint Sinnoh Sequels, GF should have a portal to the Distortion World appear in Hoenn after the game, but the portal quickly closes before the player gets to go inside it! :3
