Scans are surfacing of the latest CoroCoro issue and it’s a doozy! Mega Evolutions of Sceptile, Swampert, and Diancie have all been revealed along with other misc information 🙂
Details
Pokémon
- Mega Sceptile is Grass/Dragon with the ability Lightning Rod
- Mega Swampert’s ability is Swift Swim
- Mega Diancie’s ability has yet to be revealed
- Groudon and Kyogre’s new forms can be translated to either Primeval or Prehistoric. These forms appear to come from “nature’s energy”.
- The subtext for Groudon and Kyogre suggests new moves.
Characters
- New character art for Brendan and May
- Steven returns and is researching Mega Evolution
- Archie and Maxie are still leading Team Aqua and Team Magma respectively. Their Admins also return. All have received redesigned character art.
- Players will still have access to the Acro and Mach bikes (whoo! mach4life)
- Brendan and May will use the new ‘Mega Bangle‘ that will be used for Mega Evolutions in battle

Also the battle UI looks to be a mere replica of X/Y which is a bit disappointing
now that you mentioned it…
i realize that the bars where the pokemon’s level, exp, etc. are is updated & reversed (your pokemon’s bar is usually on the left, the opponents’ on the right). Unless thats b/c the camera reversed it (which i doubt, b/c the numbers aren’t reversed and blaziken’s position isnt reversed…)

Mega Swamperts trump card is the rain! get it in that you can’t stop it ;p
Mega Sceptile, swap it into an incoming lightning attack (with its already boosted Sp.A/Speed) and it will sweep
And we all know Mega Blaziken -.- (PROTECT SPAM SPEED BOOST HUE HUE HUE HUE )
The thing is, you have to Mega Evolve first to get Lightning Rod, so it’s not like you can just so easily switch on the first Electric attack you see coming. This ability is so fcking bad, I can’t even right now. Of all the things to give it, SERIOUSLY?
