We’re incredibly happy to bring our coverage back, and what an amazing way to do so with the world premiere of Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire footage! This is my team so far (hoping there will be some mega evolutions)
and I might change it A LOT depending on what’s to come, but I will keep my Sceptile no matter what, it’s my favorite pokémon! I tried to keep the nicknames very hawaiian themed (because hoenn is very tropical and island like) or New Yorker Themed (because it’s where I’m from. Tell me if you have any suggestions!

ROLMMMMFAOOAOO I first knew I was extremely gifted/lucky when I came here Halloween night and found a shiny pumpkaboo in FS. And people didn’t naturally post their shiny pics here. But I did and I saw that everyone went crazy. So I stayed in the friend safari and caught shiny Phantump & Shiny Lampent and TC goes “omg how are you finding all these shinies in the safari” and someone .. I think Jordin.. was like “cause he has heavy luck” and it stuck with me ever since lol.

I found a shiny medicham in my friend’s R/S/E game. He only had pokéballs on him and a great ball, though, so I didn’t catch it. My third shiny, however was a meditite in Pearl. The meditite line and I are even for now.
Fun fact: My second was a ponyta, and shinies from the meditite and ponyta lines seem to appear way too often to me.
That would be Bibarel in Pearl’s Safari Zone. I don’t have it any more.

I found a zubat and a paras (in the safari zone, almost died) in LeafGreen, one electabuzz in Soulsilver, one whismur in Y, one rng’ed feebas in SS, and a bunch of pokeradar’ed shinies in Platinum 🙂
I remember it well- I was heading from Fortree City to my Secret Base on Route 120. And for all my trying to avoid the tall grass as much as possible, I still encountered something on the one tile of tall grass I had to pass through- a Shiny Zigzagoon! 😀 One Ultra Ball and he was mine.

It was literally on the first route, using the last of my five provided Poke Balls XD Lucky and unlucky at the same time. I might train my Pidgey into a shiny Pidgeot one day.
That was really close! That sort of thing is exactly why I stock up on as many Poké Balls as I can as quickly as I can. The first Shiny I ever found was a Zigzagoon (not counting Red Gyarados, of course). This was after I had first received Poké Balls, long after that. Problem is, it was also immediately after I had used every single ball I had in a futile attempt to catch a wild Manectric. That experience taught me to stock up on Poké Balls ASAP.
So after a LOT of thought and analyzing, I finally decided my team for Alpha Sapphire!

You could trade with people and swap data, find their secret bases and battle them in their secret bases, you could buy dolls and tents and items for it.
They were everywhere!!! in trees rocks, cave sides or near lakes in the middle of a lake was the most creative ones

It had holes covered by mats to access other areas
You can buy cool merchandise from the Lilycove Department store, like Pokémon Dolls, carpets, cardboard floors, TV etc (think of the items from Dream World/global link).
You then use Hidden Power TM on an open hole that you spot on a route, like a cave or tree or something, and it shows the little TM sequence where you break into the hole, and you can then decorate your own secret base. Back then, we had to use Link Cable to see our friend’s secret base. But with the technology today, we can use the friend codes from our 3DS allowing multiple Secret Base’s on our map
The trees were like a Tardis.

They had a lot of potential, and the 3ds can make them be truly amazing

There were secret underground bases. If you have a friend, you can hook up wirelessly and try to find each other’s bases first. You can lay traps all over the place to slow the other guy/gal down
As long as they work more like Generation III Secret Bases- IMO, those were the better ones.

Hey, what sort of teams did everyone have in the original R/S? My original Ruby team was Swampert, Linoone, Shiftry, Castform, Pelipper, and Wynaut. In fact, with the exception of Pelipper, I have those same Pokémon to this day in Y. Transferred all the way up from Ruby, they’re all over 11 years old by now!

I still have the Wynaut I used in Ruby to this day, he’s level 100, never evolving, and the first thing I did when I was able to transfer everything in through Bank was play with Wynaut in Pokémon-Amie.

They arent megas Duh its called Glow forms it puts glow patterns on all pokemon when equpit with a glow stone, you get this Kyoglow and GrodonGlow and KyogreGlow Stones when u successful Capture Groudon Under the sea and Kyogre in the Volcano. and u can find My boy Ray Ray stone Rayglow under Ground
