Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire Announced

Pokémon has just announced that Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will be released in November 2014 for the Nintendo 3DS. Not much more is known. Below is what the official site posted in their announcement:

Announcing Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems! Prepare for an epic adventure exploring a world filled with Pokémon!

Pokémon fans first enjoyed Pokémon Ruby Version and Pokémon Sapphire Version when it launched in 2003 for the Game Boy Advance. Now, a whole new generation of Pokémon fans will experience the dramatic storyline that unfolds in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire.

Look forward to Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire when the games launch worldwide in November 2014!

These games will be released in November world wide as confirmed by the Japanese announcement. The Japanese mini-site is kind of cool, by the way.

ps- Personally I cannot be more excited about these games. I don’t know what a heart attack feels like, but I think I had one when I saw these announced.

    • Pokémon don’t learn moves through Mega Evolution tho. I think Thousand Arrows/Thousand Waves will work sort of like Kyurem’s Glaciate and Scary face changed to White/Black Kyurem’s respective moves upon changing forms? But instead of Glaciate/Scary Face, the move changing into one of these would be Earth’s Wrath?

  4. If you look at Team Magma and Aqua’s logos, you can see omega in the bottom of the M and well, Alpha in the A.

    • I was in their chat room… people were discussing mega latias. Someone said “i never faced one on PSS before but if i i did i’d ruin it”…. So I typed “pfft you wouldnt damage mine”, 1 person goes “omg you have one”, and i said yeah… the next 10 replies looked like this:

      “worthless”
      “pathetic”
      “f****** noob’
“hacker, taking out all the fun”
      “someone kick this guy”
“people like you is why we can’t have nice things, like Azure flute”

People their are so mean and hateful, let me do what I wanna do with my cartridge lol. I did have a good laugh though

        • Not exactly, spinoffs hold their own grounds. Lets say, Diamond. Great game. Come black 2, white 2, the graphical improvements were vast. From a Graphical stand point, the last Pokemon games on the 3DS will be stunning. These frst games add new features as well to see how people like them. The whole camera thing in Pokemon Amie was a test. The camera feature didn’t work too well which disappointed people, the upcoming creepy pikachu game also uses a camera feature, this game is also a test of the camera features, to improve upon it for future titles.. So, yes, spin-offs can be tests as well. But it is mainly standard titles.

          • Well, Ranger was the first DS pokemon game, and that tested the touch screen compatibility.
This led to the Poketch in DPP, which continued to be tested all the way until now, “PokeTouch.”

          • Both spin-offs and main series game correspond in that way. Despite this, they still manage to creature awesome games. :3

    • I hope so. Gen VI was so rushed the overworld looked like a regular DS game and the battles nearly crashed the cartridge when you turned 3D on.

      • “the overworld looked like a regular DS game” You’re kidding.

I do agree with the lag issue though.

          • Yes, the games were capable of having greater graphics but the whole reason for them looking cartoony still was to capture the signature pokemon art style. This included overworld and everything.

          • That’s not my complaint. They’re just plain ugly and unpolished. I could see them broken pixels meters away from my 3DS. And, In my opinion, the colors are sort of dead. But, graphic-wise, it could be much more polished.

  5. Honestly, I cant really say I was freaking out whn I saw it. I thought it was some joke when I saw it on youtube. And when I sfound it was real, I wasnt expcting news, so I wasnt as exicted as if they would’e annouced for pokemon news today.

    • I had my friend txt it to me about 9 or 10 this morning. I saw the “still image” before I pressed play on the video, and it looked fake to me. I’m like.. oh boy , why did my friend just txt me a fanmade RS video. So I decided to watch and laugh anyway, when I saw that little Pikachu drop I knew shit just got real and that what I was about to watch was real lol. I SCREAMED. My hype still hasn’t died.

  7. So with Hoenn confirmed, does this mean we’ll be getting Diancie, Volcanion, and Hoopa all within the next 6 months…or nahh? It’d be the quickest distribution of Event Pokemon I think XDD

  8. Also, Diancie & Volcanion are the only ones that have in-game events in XY (boring dialogue, nothing cool). Which leads me to believe Hoopa will play a role in these new games.
