JungleTalk: Not-yet-April Fools’ Edition

April Fools’ is near upon us! The day the internet gets bombarded with weird Google inventions, when it’s dangerous to go pee and when there’s a non stop flood of fake Pokémon news.

And this is what we can talk about now. What’s your best (Pokémon related) April Fools’ joke? Where you ever fooled by a well drawn fake? And what are some of the lamest jokes you’ve seen, barely enough to put a faint smile on your face? Tell us about it!

Currently, news is still slow, but I heard from an insider we will see an announcement of some sort very soon so keep your eyes open! I’m extremely busy with school at the moment, seeing as this is the last week before spring break, but after that I will have some time to talk about PJM and do a feature article about all the fan games in the making!

  6. This one time I gave my friend a shiny fraxure, and he gave me a drifloon, and I thought it was unfair. Boy, was I wrong. That drifloon ended up getting me the right nature for pokemon countless times, and it got me a shiny with good ivs!

  7. I love how my story is only at the 1st gym yet there are all of these intense things happening already. This gets a Pokemon fan to play further, and doesn’t get them bored of gyms one after another, and barely when you’re at the 5th or 6th gym, something intense happened.
    I hated how rushed the storyline was in Pokemon X and Y, but Jasper will be anything but that. 😀

  14. Chapter 7 is ready. It’s pretty intense!

    Chapter 7- The Gym Battle Gone Wrong

    Travenatura Gym was an immense location that was filled with light. There were small podiums of light, beacons, and some trophies of past trainers who had defeated the gym, made of pure Gold. One of those challengers was named “Mahogany Mark,” which used two Pokemon- Skrak and Rakorro. Joshua recognized Rakorro as one of the Pokemon trying to attack Joshua’s Pokemon during the face-off with Team Jasper. He knew that this gym had seen Team Jasper, and was going to question Diana about any information regarding Team Jasper after he collected the first gym badge of the Arkor region. Joshua was ready to take on Diana. He followed the bright path of the gym and found Diana waiting at her battlefield. She wished him good luck. Joshua brought out Deerling, and she brought out Finneon, a Water/Light-type Pokemon. Joshua felt good about himself, because he knew that Grass-type Pokemon would be super effective against Water-types. Joshua was allowed to use the first move, and used Energy Ball. Finneon dodged, and struck back with a Flash Cannon. Deerling jumped up into the air, hitting with a Vine Whip, which Finneon had no defense against. Deerling used Sweet Scent to get the Finneon confused, but Finneon was still able to fight. Finneon used Aurora Beam, and hit the Deerling. It followed through with a Bubblebeam attack, and a Confuse Ray. Deerling had fainted after all of these attacks. However, before Joshua would send out his second Pokemon, Finneon had fainted due to battling fatigue. It was 1 on 1 from here on out. Joshua sent out Swarra, and Diana sent out Elelia. Diana was allowed to go first this time around, and Elelia used a Flash Cannon, followed by a surprising attack- Techno Beam. This made an huge explosion in the Gym, sending both Elelia and Swarra flying. Little did they both know that it wasn’t the Techno Beam that caused the explosion. The two men from Team Jasper Joshua had met earlier had broken into the Gym, using Arkarei, the evolution of Rakorro, to break into the Gym. Their intention was to turn the gym into one of their hideouts where they would use the Jasper Stone to radiate Pokemon and make the Jasper Stone more powerful. The more Pokemon were radiated, the more power the stone would gain, and the higher the chance Jasper would have to take over the world. Joshua, Diana and their Pokemon had to evacuate immediately. Diana brought a Gym Badge to award Joshua, and they gathered their Pokemon, and jumped out of the 13th story of the Gym building, as that is where the battlefield was located. It was a 143 foot drop, but they wouldn’t expose their Pokemon to Jasper Stone radiation. Their Pokemon meant more to them than anything. They were falling down at exhilarating speeds, and they doubted that they would live. Would yet another miracle be on Joshua’s side?

  22. The Next Chapters:
    Chapter 8 is called A Partnership. Joshua and Diana live, and Joshua gets his first badge. They both go to heal their Pokemon, and Diana joins Joshua as his traveling partner, alongside two other people in the Arkor region which cannot yet be confirmed.

    Chapter 9 is called Diana’s Past Unveiled. Diana reveals her connections to Team Jasper, and she has an idea about where they could be next.

    Chapter 10 is called The Road to Rendarc Falls, which is a possible hideout for Team Jasper. Joshua gets his 3rd Pokemon besides Swarra and Deerling, and there is also a Gym (ideas for a type?) that he will battle later on after dealing with Team Jasper.

    Chapter 11 is called Duo Take Down, which is where Joshua and Diana take on more Team Jasper members and learn some more about their doings.

    Chapter 12 is called Backtrack, where Joshua and Diana make their way back to Travenatura Town to stop Team Jasper from building a hideout. After the duo back in Chapter 11 told Joshua and Diana about those two’s plans back in Travenatura, it would be impossible to not come back.

    Chapter 13 is called Justice to Jasper, where they both take down the two men of Team Jasper and make sure that they do not go through with the base plans.

    Chapter 14 is called Rendarc Gym, where Joshua and Diana do some exploring of Rendarc Falls, and Joshua gets introduced to the Gym Leader.

    Chapter 15 is called A Normal Battle, where Joshua takes on the Rendarc City Gym without any disruptions. It’s just a normal battle.

  25. I forgot to say, I got a queen size bed from my 2nd grade teacher the day I joined PJ. As I went to bed that night, I realized that my 2nd grade teacher had slept in it.
