Guess I’ll be the one person to say no. I’d like to see a sequal to the third gen games, we know they are possible now due to B2W2 and it would probably make the game a lot more interesting. New gym leaders, cities (possibly to fill out some of the everlasting sea space), access to the newer gen Pokemon, new twists on the features of the prequels, a new evil team or teams, and maybe new protagonists.
Heartgold and Soulsilver were not just remakes but also sequels too! The game constantly refers to the fact that they were set 10 years later than Gold and Silver!

Uh Team Rocket is sort of references their fall and then theres Ruins of Alph where a guy in the lab talks about 10 years etc.

i am gonna say no, mostly cause all the pokemon in those games can be caught and traded into modern games(ds and 3ds) yea i know that never stop gamefreak before and with that i can see why people still have hope because that’s true but the reason for leaf green and firered was made, majority of kanto and johto pokemon (mostly johto) was unable to get, then later they remade gold and silver now all pokemon can be caught before ruby and sapphire. Another reason i dont like the idea too much cause if they remake that then next they gonna remake diamopn and pearl, then black and white then red and green again, i dont think people see the pattern lol, though yea they can make sequels to eliminate that but that too eventually will get stale in my opinion
