News lately is… There is no news. Pokémon Bank releasing in Europe and North America has been the biggest bit of excitement in the Pokémon World for a long while. There’s no saying when we’ll actually receive some substantial news, but hey-ho you can all be happily transferring your eternal friend the Shiny Flygon over to your copy of X and Y.
The last JungleTalk came before Christmas, and even that seems so long ago! This next JT is for everyone to discuss Pokémon spin-offs. What was your favourite? How about your least favourite? If you could see anything in a future Pokémon spin-off, what would it be? It’s almost certain some of you have got some excellent ideas, so we want to hear them! If you’re feeling extra brave, what do you think the Pokkén could become? It’s obviously some sort of fighting game, but will it be more? Or was it simply Nintendo teasing us with a Wii U tech demo?

I haven’t play a Hoenn game (not 3rd gen exclusively, because I played FireRed), and I am waiting for potential remake to experience it fresh. So I have no basis to establish a comparison. Although I liked 5th gen a lot.

In term of…? Don’t just generalize a generation in direct comparison. Both gens were great in their own terms.
I prefer the story, the memorable music, and the inability to find shinies around every corner.

I agree on the story, it’s more extensive and deep. However, don’t forget the story of gen 6 was also touching and risky, since Pokemon used the theme of life and death, (and team flare being basically the Nazi of the pokemon universe since they wanted to eliminate everyone that’s inferior to them.)
Gen 6 was great, don’t get me wrong, but something about Gen 5 just clicks more for me. I feel like I can play X longer than I could with White.
I think Gen 6 is superior in my opinion because…simply I don’t play it alone anymore.
That’s a good point, if you intended it, the interconnectivity and PSS in general is absolutely fantastic.
