JungleTalk — You Spin Me Right… Off…

News lately is… There is no news. Pokémon Bank releasing in Europe and North America has been the biggest bit of excitement in the Pokémon World for a long while. There’s no saying when we’ll actually receive some substantial news, but hey-ho you can all be happily transferring your eternal friend the Shiny Flygon over to your copy of X and Y.

The last JungleTalk came before Christmas, and even that seems so long ago! This next JT is for everyone to discuss Pokémon spin-offs. What was your favourite? How about your least favourite? If you could see anything in a future Pokémon spin-off, what would it be? It’s almost certain some of you have got some excellent ideas, so we want to hear them! If you’re feeling extra brave, what do you think the Pokkén could become? It’s obviously some sort of fighting game, but will it be more? Or was it simply Nintendo teasing us with a Wii U tech demo?

  2. Looking at my near-complete dex, I thought to myself, “What is this hole after heatran? What legendary (besides arceus) is missing?”

    Then it dawned on me.

    I have never captured a regigigas.

    Now I have to go on a multi-generation journey for the last great challenge of this quest to completion. Time to revisit hoenn.

  4. Where do Starters come from and why are we given them? They can’t be found anywhere else in games so it’s safe to assume that they are critically endangered. Right?

  17. I posted a reply to ShinyNoivern’s comment about the Kalos wars being about religion and it seems it got drowned in the comments (I took quite some time writing it, by the time I was done there was ~90 new comments ;-;)
    I’ll go ahead and post it here:

    “From what I remember from Ap Eu. history, France fought a war w/Germany in the Seven Year’s War (also called the Franco-Prussian war iirc, not to be confused with the one in 1870) around 300 years ago (when Parfum Palace was supposedly built, Parfum Palace was also mentioned to be built during a war). From what I remember, it was France vs. G.B. & “Germany” (the german states + Prussia).

    (backstory) France, for the most part (with the exception of Henry IV (with the Edict of Nantes, he allowed Protestantism in france), was a super catholic state, and after Louis XIV revocated the Edict of Nantes, a massacre of Huguenots (French Protestants) occurred, causing many to flee. Most of these protestants went into the protestant states, Great Britain and Prussia.

    p.s. Versailles was built under the reign of Louis XIV, and Parfum palace appears to resemble it

    p.p.s. every war pretty much before the congress of Vienna (iirc) was b/c of religion, or religion was the excuse to go to war.”
