JungleTalk — You Spin Me Right… Off…

News lately is… There is no news. Pokémon Bank releasing in Europe and North America has been the biggest bit of excitement in the Pokémon World for a long while. There’s no saying when we’ll actually receive some substantial news, but hey-ho you can all be happily transferring your eternal friend the Shiny Flygon over to your copy of X and Y.

The last JungleTalk came before Christmas, and even that seems so long ago! This next JT is for everyone to discuss Pokémon spin-offs. What was your favourite? How about your least favourite? If you could see anything in a future Pokémon spin-off, what would it be? It’s almost certain some of you have got some excellent ideas, so we want to hear them! If you’re feeling extra brave, what do you think the Pokkén could become? It’s obviously some sort of fighting game, but will it be more? Or was it simply Nintendo teasing us with a Wii U tech demo?

  3. Loved the Mystery Dungeon series! Especially Time and Darkness. Great soundtrack and storylines, sometimes better than the main games imo.

  6. I think the Pokken thing will turn into a Street-Fighter or Tekken styled fighting game. I mean… the one title did say “Pokken Fist Tournament” or something like that… and Tekken has the Iron Fist Tournament.

    I think it’ll be new and different for Pokemon to do something like that.

    Lucario / Ryu
    Blaziken / Ken
    Pikachu / Blanca
    etc…

    if this turns out to be a real game I’ll def buy a Wii-U for it.

  11. I personally loved Colosseum, maybe something like that but alot better graphics, story, side quests etc, taking place somewhere like Kalos, could be called KALOSSEUM GET IT ?!?!?! I’m funny I know. But honestly I would love a game like that again, maybe it can give us special Pokemon to send to X&Y ( Contrary Snivy please). I don’t think we have to wait too long for the next pokemon game! 😀

    • Orre region will definitely be revisted at some point. I noticed that Nintendo made a oopsie. Before Bank 1.1 you could transfer an Orre Pokemon to XY and it will have a Circle Shape in the summary instead of the Pentagon shape that Kalos pokemon get… Now if you transfer one it doesn’t get a shape at all… THIS was just patched because before Bank updated to 1.1 Orre Pokemon got their own shape.

      So this means a new wii-u game will be able to send pokemon back to our XY like you said and they will get a circle shape.

  16. My favorite has to be the Mystery Dungeon series. I love the storylines and plot 😀 Never have played XD, Colosseum, or anything of the sort :/

    I have been PokePark Wii for quite some time now though. It looks fun! 😀

  18. Before I answer your questions Moving I just want to give a huge shout-out to Mewtwo for it is his birthday today!!!

    Now for the questions:

    1. Favorite Spin-off: I haven’t played enough Spin Offs, but if I had to pick one, I’d say Poképark 2 (Colleseum and Gale of Darkness would easily be #1, but they’re not spin-offs).
    2. Least Favorite: Not sure.
    3. Future Spin-off: Poképark 3.

  20. Adding on to what I said before,
    Certain pokemon, like Blaziken and Lucario should get Super Moves that will transform them into their Mega Evolutions in Pokken Fighters (I’ll refer to the game as this).
    Why would Game Freak put two mega evolution possible pokemon in the trailer for no reason?
    Their supers should turn them into their Mega Evolutions, and they should be able to fight with the attack boosts that they have in X and Y, along with their new abilities.

    Speaking of abilities,
    I would like to see that implemented in Pokken Fighters.
    Like say if you got a “Critical-Hit” on a Pikachu. It should have Static come out and lower your Pokemon’s speed with the paralysis.
    And then Abilities like Speed Boost and Moody would raise your stats gradually (Speed Boost= raise speed, Moody= raise random, lower random)

    These are just my opinions.

  25. Honestly I’m extremely excited about the “creepy” detective game.
    Its supposed to have a massive improvement on facial recognition @pokemonamie
    And I’m just excited for the story!!! AND A POKEMON DETECTIVE GAME WOULD BE AWESOMMEEE!!! Like your main character could be looker!
    AND YOUR ENEMY IS PIKABLU FOR MAY’S SAKE!!!
