Although I’m covering this news story, it’s by popular demand. I don’t believe any of this and I highly recommend that you do not either.
The site DualPixels (which has since crashed) claimed to have gotten “information” from a leaker about Generation VII. They claim:
- Two new games are codenamed Pokémon Plus & Pokémon Minus, could be final
- The battle system is going to be re-worked completely and simplified
- New region is based on Southeast Asia, may have islands
- GameFreak is trying many new ideas out that they’ve been holding onto
- “Three new starters with no names: Water evolves into Water/Steel and is a squat, teardrop shaped humanoid that has a jar filled with on its head as it evolves it grows taller and the jar bigger until it needs another set of arms to hold it on it’s head. Fire evolves into Fire/Fairy and is a tiny cute goat with fire blowing out of its horns, it’s horns and look evolves more menacing until it has curly ram like horns and a motorcycle hot-rod-like look. Grass evolves into a Grass/Electric and starts with a leap for a face with a nubby root as a body and evolves until it grows into an electric producing palm tree with each flower petal having a different face.”
- “The main legendary for Pokemon Plus is a Shi Foo Lion-looking Psychic/Ground-type that has multiple faces, the Pokemon Minus legendary is a Ghost/Fairy type that has two dashes for eyes and is a hurricane-like appendages with many arms and hands.”
- “The new “Team” villains are described as a bunch of “Sohei Zelots”-types who have discovered the player’s best friend as a reincarnation of a special type of person who only is alive every 100 years. They believe the old system where people were given a Pokemon egg and they stick to that Pokemon until they die and who’s function in society dictate what role that person is. They are against the “modern” trend of Pokemon Trainers and capturing multiple Pokemon and are making a holy pilgrimage to evoke the old Legendaries to turn everything back to normal. They keep the player away from their friend, saying the special one (who can do amazing things like mega evolve Pokemon without the use of a mega ring) only love is that of Pokemon and not people. It is planned to be reveal later that for the special one to fulfill their role in society they must be mortally sacrificed to awaken the legendaries.”

Not gonna happen. The whole purpose of wonder trade is to not know what you’re gonna get. Unfortunately people abuse this for their own personal gain.

Personally I dislike the Plus and Minus names. The Pokemon I can get over, but the names don’t fit.
I have been waiting 6 generations for a Dolphin pokemon. I’ve seen to many apes birds and caterpillars I need Echo!
You would think a cockroach Pokemon would have been made in Gen 1…. its the most common bug in the world, been around since dinosaurs.

Didn’t want to make the stats too high. This already adds up to 550 which is the same as Volcarona. Plus it is defensive and with that ability and access to Scald and Recover, good luck taking it down
I think s.attack and speed should switch. I imagine it would learn drillrun/peck and stuff like that but that’s just my opinion.

hmm,… well I know it DOES work in caves but I never tried frost cavern…
Most annoying thing to happen for me was horde/EV training with sweet scent, and then it starts raining on the route your on and you can’t sweet scent anymore 🙁

UGH i hated that xD I needed to use sweet scent to get Arbok to finish up on my dex but it was raining at the time.

Most Efficient Routes for EV Training
These routes take into account frequency of encounters, number of EVs
gained per Pokémon defeated, and ease of access to the location.
HP – Route 5, Connecting Cave, Route 20
Attack – Route 19, Route 14
Defense – Terminus Cave, Victory Road
Special Attack – Frost Cavern
Special Defense – Reflection Cave
Speed – Route 8, Route 12, Route 15
-Smogon
Frost Cavern
[Common] Vanillite (1 SpA) – 5 SpA Total
[Uncommon] Cubchoo (1 Atk) – 5 Atk Total
[Rare] Smoochum (1 SpA) – 5 SpA Total

Depends. Macho brace cuts speed while holding it but has no Permanent effects. If you have pokerus and macho brace, It is in fact a breeze. Macho brace doubles EV gain
I do that but on the ST menu it only goes up a notch per battle and fight up to fifteenth battles

Second stage so 2 EVs. Pokerus + power item = 100 EVs I think.
That’s wayy too much.
You get 10 EVs from a basic battle without the Items or pokerus.
[Common] Weepinbell (2 Atk) – 10 Atk Total
You should get 10 EVs total.
If you add macho brace. 20.
AND pokerus. 30-40 per horde
That’s because if you’re doing Hordes, most of them are Stage 1, so you only get 1 EV yield out of each Pokemon (5 total). The Macho Brace will only double that 5, giving only 10 per Horde
The power items add +5 for each pokemon defeated so you can get 50 EVs from a 1 EV pokemon horde. Macho brace would give you 20 I believe.

Yup! PokeRus doubles your EV gains. Power Items give you +4 in that stat, so a single Pokemon can give you (with the proper Power Item and PKRS) 10-14 PER Pokemon, and then multiply by 5 for Hordes

Pokemon X/Y have not even been out for a year, yet everyone is starting to speculate now based on rumors that are probably not true? Two of the starters described sound unlikely just because Pokemon has always made Pokemon based on some kind of animal, and the one that is an animal sounds like a fire Skiddo/Gogoat. On top of that, why would the main games be for Wii U? Pokemon is by and large a franchise that is based around connecting with people and portability.
Just enjoy X/Y while they are still new and not make wild speculations just because “wowzers there is going to be a new Pokemon game? I want this and this and this and this!”
They should just make a nifty Battle Revolution-esqu game for wii u

Gen 6 will probably, always be my favorite gen because it taught me soo much about the game mechanics that i didn’t know before. despite playing all of the main games (1-6)

Its more understandable that the next Game we’ll get is Z or ZX/ZY and that rumored game with the Blaziken and Lucario fighting
