News is coming in at an unbelievably slow pace lately, and we haven’t had any articles in the pipes for a little while so our activity has been fairly low. Regardless of that we thought it would be an excellent time to publish another JungleTalk. I actually copied the basic layout and structure of this article from an older one in which we asked you to discuss your predictions for the September issue of Corocoro and the English name for Ōrot. That was 64 days until X & Y was released globally, and it seems like such a long, long time ago!
In terms of X & Y those who already have the games are hopefully still enjoying everything they have to offer, and for those that don’t hopefully you’ll be picking them up over the festive holiday season! That brings us to the main purpose of this article… We want you to discuss your holiday plans. Do they involve Pokémon in anyway? Have you made any special arrangements?
If you haven’t made any plans then perhaps you’ve got some seasonal wishes you’d like to make? We’ve been asking our Twitter followers to tweet @pokejungle and use the hashtag #DearDelibird to share their wishes, if we get enough people on board we’ll make a post with out favourite wishes, so get tweeting, sharing and talking with others in the comments!

Yes it is. Xerneas is red, Yveltal is an orang/yellowish color, but dark enough to be similar to be akin to shiny chomp, and zygarde is blue

Gamefreak needs to tell us the if there is a purpose to tipping
Increases the chances of finding shinies. Not a fact stated by official Pokemon sources, but it’s worked for me. I’ve found six shinies so far because of tipping.

To me, there isn’t. I havent found any shiny with tipping, but after gruelling ev training, ive found two horde shinies in ev hordes, and one in fs.

Just breeding my future party members. I’ve decided that I’ll hatch them and soft reset w/o saving the game. Then, I’ll pick the best egg that hatched, and trade it to myself in the next games. That way, that pokemon will have my trainer ID.

I do i chained fished up 300 hundred and quit
no way!!! i never heard of someone going that high for a chain fish. I was trying to chain fish for a shiny corphish and got like 3 shiny goldeens in between.
i really think it has something to do with the trainer ID. someone said if you have repetitve numbers or a pyramid set of numbers its easy for them to generate

It doesn’t sound like one. But others seem to think trainer ID doesnt tamper with the RNG a bit so can’t be too sure

lol luck I suppose. I found 20 something shinies in safari, fished up every fish shiny you can find except for corphish, masuda bred a couple. And traded my legends away/BP items for the rest. Pure luck I guess lol. My game is a shiny magnet

^ first, that’s from jan ’13, so it doesn’t apply to X/Y
In X/Y you are given 2 values when you start the game, a trainer value (your id, iirc), and a trainer shiny value (a hidden number that can only be found using external devices). When you encounter a pokemon, multiple things are generated; what pokemon it is, the moveset, the level, nature, iv’s, etc. But there’s also another value that’s generated, the pokemon shiny value. When the pokemon’s shiny value and your trainer shiny value match, you get a shiny.
shiny value doesn’t exist. its based off your secret ID
And thats why the chances are 1/8912 or 1/4096
I don’t think its anything to do with the trainer id…
