JungleTalk — Festive Chatterings

News is coming in at an unbelievably slow pace lately, and we haven’t had any articles in the pipes for a little while so our activity has been fairly low. Regardless of that we thought it would be an excellent time to publish another JungleTalk. I actually copied the basic layout and structure of this article from an older one in which we asked you to discuss your predictions for the September issue of Corocoro and the English name for Ōrot. That was 64 days until X & Y was released globally, and it seems like such a long, long time ago!

In terms of X & Y those who already have the games are hopefully still enjoying everything they have to offer, and for those that don’t hopefully you’ll be picking them up over the festive holiday season! That brings us to the main purpose of this article… We want you to discuss your holiday plans. Do they involve Pokémon in anyway? Have you made any special arrangements?

If you haven’t made any plans then perhaps you’ve got some seasonal wishes you’d like to make? We’ve been asking our Twitter followers to tweet @pokejungle and use the hashtag #DearDelibird to share their wishes, if we get enough people on board we’ll make a post with out favourite wishes, so get tweeting, sharing and talking with others in the comments!

Don’t forget to Like us on Facebook, Follow us on Twitter, register on our forums, and take part in some great discussion with other Pokémon fans!  Please remember to follow our Community Guidelines too, we don’t want anyone getting in trouble for misbehaving!

  2. Um, how do I exactly get 232 HP EVs?

Would it be 4 hordes w/ Power item, 2 hordes without, and a single pokemon with an HP EV?

I do have Pokerus, just in case someone is wondering 🙂

    • Physically defensive rotom is ridiculously common. BOld, max HP and def, Volt Switch, Hydro Pump, Will-O-Miss and Rest holding a Chesto Berry. Don’t get much bulkier than that with rotom, unless you use Pain split. Sub isn’t good, especially if you’re opponent has infiltrator, or uses a sound move

      • I said “bulky” because I don’t really need it to be a Wall, I just want it to take some hits. Also, I chose Sub because I can’t get Pain Split, and I ain’t going through hell to get HP Ice. Its EV spread is 232 HP / 56 SpA / 220 Spe

        • Well, for a bulky set, its mostly HP and defenses honestly. With that spread, Bulky offense would be better. With that spread, that set is basically the only way i can see it run. I wouldn’t really know, i never use Rotom Wash, as i have a personal bias against it

          • To be honest, I only made one just because of Talonflame… XD

And yes, bulky offense is what I’m mostly looking for, not too bulky so that it can hit pretty hard, but not lacking bulkyness either.

          • Talonflame? Honestly, unboosted no item Acrobatics can;t beat physically defensive Chesnaught, who can seed stall in some situations. To me, Whirlwind +Stealth Rocks would be the best way to deal with it. Mandibuzz can tank all attacks bar i think, +4 Brave Bird, and then tears it apart with Toxic stall or Whirlwind, or even Foul PLay. To beat talonflame, i just rely on the natural bulk of my mons.
