Wow! In the beginning of my play through of Y, I caught a Pikachu in Santalune Forest. It was holding the Light Ball. So I eventually bred it for a Volt Tackle Pikachu 🙂

I think “friend safari” wize, the key to finding shinies is just staying connected to PSS. I haven’t tipped in about 2 days, and found shiny audino this morning and shiny pika 10-15 mins ago. and only superstitions that I managed to find is that I’ve been logged on to the internet
and also patience… watch a tv show or something while grinding lol
I’m trying this right now.
There have been rumors that if the friend is online as well it increases shiny rate. I think shiny rate is just increased in the FS, along possibly with IVs and HA chance.
I have been online for 4 hours and nothing… but i do admit the last 3 shines i got in friend safari was online
I found 3 shinies in one day (roughly in total 5 hrs) w/o being connected to the internet…
ahh okay, this is like my 21st friend safari shiny so im not sure if i was online or not for the other ones, only just decided to try and start paying attention to how i encounter them lol
