A new patch has just (well, ‘just’) gone live, fixing several things for Pokémon X and Y. You can download it on the eShop now and it is required if you want to do online. The change log is as follows:
Patch 1.2
- Fixes an occasional bug causing Pokémon not to learn new moves after evolving through Wonder Trade.
- Fixes an occasional bug where certain captions for Trainer PR Videos were not unlocked in Lumiose City.
- Updates an Internet communication issue.
What Internet communication issue are they talking about? Well, it fixes the data snooping, essentially killing both Battle Analyser and Instacheck. If you didn’t know about them, Battle Analyser allowed you to see your opponents move sets and even the move they selected that turn before you selected yours. Instacheck allowed you to see the Shiny Values of your Pokémon, essentially making you put some effort into shiny hunting again. So for all those cheaters out there: too bad!
It’s currently unknown if the update will stand the test of time but we know for sure Gamefreak is doing all they can to ban ‘illegitimate’ practices. Now we only have to wait for the patch that fixes the barren endgame.

so using instacheck is considered cheating, n the eyes of gamefreak its not suppose to be use guess that stops the argument of its legitimacy, i was kinda annoyed by it anyway everybody asking me to help them hatch eggs but not one person could help me hatch one. ans for the wonder trade patch about time as i keep getting pokemon (mostly gourgeist) that learns a move as it evolves through trade then the move dissapears when i look for it in the summary

Good! I’m glad they fixed up those issues. Hopefully they have patches/downloads soon that have some bonus content. More clothes or something would be nice. Maybe a downloadable Christmas sweater. 😛

I’ve gotten 3 in trades, but there are plenty of people here especially who have worked very hard doing the various methods of obtaining to receive their shinies

In anticipation of its release in two weeks, The Pokémon Company has issued an overview trailer for the upcoming release, Pokémon Bank. It confirms that you can transfer entire boxes immediately within the Poké Transporter system that comes with it and that Pokémon Bank has advanced search filter systems akin to the ones in the boxes on Pokémon X & Y
You can also choose Battle Points to be earned rather than PokéMiles in Pokémon Bank when you deposit Pokémon
If your annual Bank fee ends, you can still withdraw your Pokémon for a short time, but will be lost afterwards forever. The period of time has yet to be announced.
Pokémon Bank ignores the 3DS’s region lock so all games can be read and used for depositing/withdrawing Pokémon so if you have a US game, you can put it on a Japanese 3DS with Pokémon Bank installed and put Pokémon on there

So odd for them to use Bridgette of all people from a game that’s a decade old. In fact, it’d make sense to use Amanita since she was the PC Storage Box creator/regulator of Unova/the gens that will most likely be used as a bridge for transferring to X/Y.

I’m thinking a region based off Germany. I have this theory about Z/Zero taking place 3,000 years ago before Perfum Palace/Palace of Versailles was built, and focus story more around AZ and an “ugly” kalos. 16 badges, two regions etc.

What happened?
So maybe two months after i beat Crystal (I still played my Red, it took me a year Red and near a year to beat Crystal imagine how close i was to my teams) My brother gave them to his girlfriend ( for his 3 month anniversary gift) because she wanted pokemon for a long time (keep in mind my brother had Blue and Silver). He didn’t even ask me and he just took them and i cried for so long, she wouldn’t give them back either. My parents said i should deal with it, so i thought every one was against me. But i had good friends who cheered me up and stopped playing their pokemon games because my games were “stolen.” Luckily soon after (2 months is a long time with no pokemon) Emerald came out. Thus begins my favorite game ever 🙂

With the 1.2 Patch, I noticed some things about the Elite Four (first time battled) when I replayed the game from scratch on my other cart. Can anyone confirm these?
1. Malva’s antagonistic dialogue is removed, she is no longer: annoyed with you, wants to burn you where you stand, and call you a runt. Instead, she says she is busy and she’s a Holo Caster star. Was it always like this if the’s the first fight?
2. Siebold has been nerfed to 1 Full Restore rather than the 2 Full Restores everyone else has. Probable reason: My God that Gyarados. Even overleveling it by 10, it was really scary.

Hmm, I was leaning towards mawile, but now that I think about it, absol is my 3rd fav pokemon ever, and still need to make a competitive one. Its name will be Pandora. Mawile name: . . . . .. . . . . .. No-flaw-wile!
It gets Prankster, which is a great ability, along with Will o Wisp, Thunderwave and Taunt. It also has Sucker Punch and Shadow Sneak, in addition to 165 Base Attack, so I say yes!

I’d also go for Cosmic Power, Stored Power, but I also used Roost and Psycho Shift back in gen 5, so this way i could hold a Flame orb and then pass the condition on to my opponent while being immune to sleep to hinder smeargle and other spore users. Modest Cosmic Power Sigilyph is prolly what i’d use. Thanks for the advice Fairly!
no prob, btw, just in case you didn’t know, calm mind increases stored power’s power as well as the sp atk stat itself so basically you’re doubling it’s power to where at +6 you’ll OHKO almost everything
Yup. But the physical defense increase is better to me, so this way Stone Edge doesn’t always OHKO, or Ice Punch, or Wild CHarge etc.
that’s usually why cosmic power is favored over calm mind, psychic/flying isn’t the best type for physical defense, if only it had a better typing or higher defense, calm mind would almost always be considered over cosmic power, still having an attack being able to take out virtually anything is a nice thought

Lumineon and Pachirisu would work together, with Swift swim and Thunder’s rain acc. and Pachi can also be supportive, with nuzzle and charm. Primeape and Persian can both be fast physical sweepers, and it would be interesting to see it in action
sad thing is that lumineon is currently unavailable, I’d want to replace persian and primeape for personal preferences and that mega medicham does persian’s job far better, pachirisu is really interesting, was thinking with rain dance lumineon (with focus sash cause it can’t defend to save its life literally) I could run, light screen, charm, super fang and nuzzle

Probably been pointed out already, but I reallybelieve that Zygarde will have a Mega Evolution next game. Since Mega Evolution increases your base stats by 100, that will raise it from 600 to 700, placing it behind:
Mewtwo Y & Mewtwo X with 780
Arceus 720
Both Kyurem fusions have 700
As well as Mega Tyranitar & Mega Garchomp have 700
They told us none of the gen six pokes will have megas as of right now.

When Gen 5 came out, none of the Gen 5 Poke’s had hidden abilities until Gen 5.5 (B2W2) – they wanted us to get used to their normal abilities first.
I’m sure they might get megas in gen 7 or sequels, or remakes or whatever. I don’t see it happening for a while since the gen 6 legendaries were what created the stones.
also to further add to that, Mega Stones were discovered in Kalos right? And only seem to work there (going by what they say in story) – so how would it be that none of the 6th Gen Pokes get Mega’s when they were born in a Mega region lol.
We don’t even have Gen 5 Megas yet 🙁

Yup. Cooked them in a roaster to soften the bones and cook the marrow. Bone Marrow is possibly my favorite thing to eat, so good that i stand in the kitchen for a half hour with a meat clever cutting up that big bone that some hams have for the marrow.

You should try it. The bigger the bone, the more marrow there is, and the sweeter it is. It tastes better raw, but with chicken bones, the chance of salmonella poisoning is a bigg deterrent

Yeh, I was thinking as a support role. Plus even with 7 weaknesses, it resists attack likes Earthquake, Close Combat and Hydro Pump, and is immune to Spore, Leech Seed. Granted Talonfalme is wrecking shit at the moment, Celebi will not appreciate that.
The great thing is, you can still get it even if you only download the free trial version!

I get why Celebi is being distributed. Celebi’s the Time Travel Pokemon, and you transfer Pokemon from BW/B2W2 to XY. XY take place in the future (don’t know how many years from B2W2). Well played GF, well played.

Battle institute or maison?
In the maison doing regular singles for the 48 bp, then i’ll go to the institute for the other 30 ish
Maison is fairer but not as fast with BP but institute is pretty quick but sometimes you don’t get the full 15 BP because they suck and run trick toxic orb Metagross.
Actually, I usually get 13-14 bp per session so i’ll “only” have to do about 5 sessions. Off to the institute

Treat it as a non-cannon spin-off that is only there for you to decimate enemies with (Link’s Crossbow Training, but much better in other words). It may be repetitive, but you are decimating enemies left and right, what more could you ask for?

I disabled Passersbys at first. Then I enabled them to battle with me. Now I know why I disabled them.
First, a guy challenged me and I accepted.
As I was winning (5 VS. 2), he forfeited. (Even used a Moltres).
He then challenges me again with a whole different team that counters my whole team. I lose and I don’t forfeit. I guess he just wanted to be satisfied. You know what he did right after winning? Went offline so I couldn’t challenge him. This bothers me so much! *Disables Passerby connectivity*

What I usually do is check their profiles to see their number of wins and play time, so it’s only rare that I get ragequitters
I had someone with a full team of legendaries. I got him down to two left and he forfeited. He challenged me again after seeing my team and strategy. I start winning and he forfeits. The third time he asks to battle I decline. He notifies me AGAIN to trade! I’m like, uh heck no you wimp!
