New Pikachu Spin-Off Announced

NHK has finished airing and revealed a mysterious new Pokémon game, starring Dr Watso Pikachu! This spin-off seems to be some creepy detective game. Not much is known, except that it will feature a Blue Pikachu that apparently can talk (must be due to Fukushima) and who is the villain. The developers used motion capture to give Pikachu better facial expressions, but I have no idea where they got the Pikachu to do that from. More details will likely be released in the following months/years.

Also mentioned was a Pokémon Trozei (Link) sequel, but it appears to be abandoned, or maybe it will see life as an eShop only title. Stay tuned for that too!

 

OLD: The teaser trailer released last week and has teased an all new game with Tsunekazu Ishihara appearing on the show sharing some details on the game that is currently in development. We’ll provide details ASAP!

I bought a Venasaurite and ran out of money and went to catch a cab and had like 50 bucks and they charged me 715, when he drove me to destination and realized I had no money, the cab driver kicked me out and challenged me to a battle to make up for the fare. it was so awesome LOL. battling the cab driver who’dve thought?

  5. So I noticed in Lumiose museum there is a painting of every region except Hoenn. the only painting of Hoenn is of Mr Briney and his infamous Wingull named Peeko.

    I smell Hoenn revisit coming

    • if you notice some of the paintings are the artwork of various pokemon cards. and then theres that little tidbit from the x and y game guide….

      • yup, the bit about mentioning “regions”. Lovely. I also found it odd how its mentioned on page 386, and after gen 3 their was a total of 386 pokemon.

        And then there was the couple that said their 40th anniversary is Ruby and 45th anniversary is Sapphire. I got so happy seeing all these hints.

        And the:

        “you should meet the champion of my region”
        “somewhere in this world their is a waterfall that flows backwards I would love to see it”
        “my region has a facility, you will see it IN DUE TIME”

        all those hints made me smile crazily lol.

        and then of course their is Volcanion, Diancie, Hoopa, and Zygorde getting a new form.

          • Hoenn region is by far my favourite region. And Pokemon Emerald is still my all time favourite Pokemon game…

          • Emerald: The original, better, challenging, and more fun Battle Factory. Plus a waaaaaaaaay better battle frontier.

          • Exactly. The hours I spent trying to beat that Battle Frontier. I want the Emerald remake with the online connectivity of X/Y and my life will be complete…

            Also the beauty of the Hoenn region and the amazing cutscenes in 3D…*drools*

          • I spend nearly 2 years fianlly getting all of the gold symbols and a perfect trainer card. My only completed pokemon game.

          • It has so far been the only game that i just kept going back to, because i had set myself a Challenge to beat the battle frontier. One of my save file clocked in over 400hrs of gameplay. I only ever managed all the Silver Symbols however (never got the golds).
            One of my fondest memories is training up an amazing Aggron just to take out Spencer. If I recall correctly he had Crobat, Lapras and Slaking, and my SubPunch Aggron wrecked him….ahhh….good times

          • Before X & Y it also had my favorite soundtrack. Of course with the remakes/sequels that would change back to #1

            cause on 386 it mentions how there are 14 berries unavailable in X&Y but we can get them from other regions. Well on dec 29th when Bank comes out, we cant transfer items/berries, so this implies we’ll be going to other regions, with an s – more than 1 – to obtain the rest of our berries. and my bets are on Hoenn and a new region.

            multiple trainers in the game talk about how Kalos and its “neighboring regions” had a huge war 3000 years ago.

            Right now we have friend safari’s, cool graphics, can you imagine how much fun its gonna be to have 3D “secret bases”. everyone will be exchanging friend codes so we can enter each other’s secret bases lol. My body is ready for an emerald remake. Can you imagine Ruby/Sapphire box-art with a Mega Kyogre/Mega Groudon as the mascots. SLAYED.

            im pretty sure their are more mega’s in the games coding. we wouldn’t have found out about mega blaziken if it wasn’t released as an event.

          • Day 1 buy for me. Secret bases would be amazing!! And with the 3DS’ power we won’t have a limit to how much furniture we can use!

            No I can’t imagine it because it’s too awesome for my eyes to experience.

            On my X & Y review (Club Nintendo) I mentioned Hoenn sequels so hopefully they read/consider sequels/remakes! 😀

          • to be honest, i think an emerald remake has been in the works for a long time.

            back in HeartGold/SoulSilver the game director says “we are working on remaking a loved game, but it’ll take time”.

            then Masuda was once asked about Hoenn remakes and he said those games are very special to him and he’s planning something big.

            then in Black2White2 if you beat Steven Stone in the World Tournament, he says “huh? emerald can be mined in Driftveil Gym?” and if u go to driftveil gym bottom, there are huge chunks of emerald everywhere (just like the huge chunks of emerald in glitter cave in XY). Hoenn pokemon and Hoenn gym leaders all got new sprites in B2W2 as well.

            They could also do an updated story line where Steven Stone finds out about Hoenn having more mega stones or something, I mean his last name is indeed Stone and he likes evolution.

          • My biggest wish is that they implement Steven Stone more into the storyline. He is my favourite Champion even though we see the least of him. There is so much mystery surrounding his character…they have a lot to play with there…

          • Maybe they switch it and the main bulk of Shiny MegaMetagross is pure Gold, with Titanium supplements (cross, claws e.t.c)…

          • Levitate, Iron Fist, Tough Claws would all be great for Metagross….I was so annoyed when his hidden ability was Light Metal….seriously wtf…
            And buff up his attack, speed, and special defence….and we have a monster on our hands…

            Also imagine the sevii islands in 3D, and them finally releasing Faraway Ticket as a Wifi Event on the day of release, so we can catch Mew for the first time ever. The game(s) would sell like hotcakes.

          • nope haha I just started getting back online. Was cut off from the social world for about a week and a half since x came out lmao. didnt wanna spoil anything but now since game is completed im back on here

          • You missed out on a lot but did that make the game better or worse for you? Like evolving your starter and seeing something you have never seen before.

          • it made the game extremely better. encountering so many new pokemon and making me scream for joy. even though it was only 70 new pokemon it still felt like it was 100 new pokemon lol dunno why. I loved discovering for myself that mr mime is now psychic/fairy and seeing the other retconned pokes too. it was and still is a great experience. im having fun training, battling, and going to friend safaris. best games yet.

          • One thing I’m looking forward to is the Kyogre/Groudon cut-scene in 3d. Can you just imagine that…with updated graphics and everything….thunderstorms would look so amazing…

            And then there would be people on here like “omg how do i get mirage island to appear for me!!” lol can u imagine a foggy island appearing in 3D random for some people lol. People encountering Shiny Wynauts on it. It would be love.

            Fortree city in 3D, diving in 3D, argh this game would be bananas.

          • It is simply the greatest cut-scene in Pokemon history. The DP/BW/XY ones had nothing in comparison.

            In Emerald It’s literally 2 monsters going at it with the entire town watching…and with the Rayquaza entrance as a complete boss…just…oh god…please Gamefreak make this happen….

  9. I’m battling the cab driver again (cause I’m once again broke LOL) and this time he’s not using sandile lvl 25 but using Krokorok 55 and its winning lol. I only have 2 pokes with me under lvl 40 cause i was hatching eggs lol. I’m gonna lose 🙁

  12. Speaking of Hoenn remakes, what team would you like Steven to have? I’d have to go with Metagross, Cradily, Armaldo (He does dig for fossils and stuff), Aggron, Excadrill (Helps dig for fossils lol), and Foretress (Because he traded you a Beldum for one in HG/SS I think).

          • Ah lol. The only downside is his epic battle music doesn’t play, and for some reason he’s given the Rival Battle music.

            Btw, if you’re looking for Ruby/Sapphire, I can mail you my Sapphire version if you want, though I’d want it back eventually just because I like having the trio lol 😛 But you could keep it for a few years, I play Emerald more anyways. Though if you’re looking to complete the trio like I have, that probably wouldn’t help since I’d want it back xD

          • I was in that cave with all of the Smeargle but my Pokemon were way too under-leveled so I was trying to train with the Elite Four.

            I appreciate the offer, but what if something happens to it? I like having them all and keep them as collectibles and for the sake of completion. I only need B2 to complete the quad of Gen 5. Yay for Pokemon xD

          • That why I look at Craigslist more. They actually have pictures and I analyze them VERY carefully to see if they are real. Turned out Emerald and LG looked legit so I called the guy 😀 Said he will sell them both for $30 I was like “:O” Emerald costed $30 so it would be like BOGO.

            I’m also looking into buying a Gameboy SP to play them there. I remember in 2nd grade when my friend has a Gameboy and I really wasn’t into it at that time.             Gameboy Advance SP is my 2nd favorite system (Behind 3DS XL). Everyone wanted mine back in Middle School because mine had a black top and a silver bottom xD We’d play at lunch in the cafeteria and have Pokemon battles, and the link cables would be out on the table xD One time the dean came over to our table and asked if we were all connected through these cables, and we said yeah, and he was like technology is amazing! Imagine it today with the wireless and global connectivity xD

I opted for a different case than the one you posted 😛 In the suggestions part of that link, I saw a case resembling one that I’ve gotten for all my 3DS systems, and had to have it! It’s a carrying case, I clip it onto my jeans when I go out. Want a pic of the case? You could also play the game in the case, but you don’t have access to the LR buttons. Though, that doesn’t matter much for Pokemon xP

            I remember his name. I don’t know where he is or is number though. He was kinda a bad influence… I would get home and just want to go outside and play. He also stole that Infernape Lv. X and said his cousin broke it. He lied and my dad had to tell him to give it back. That Infernape card has been through a lot XD One time I played for keeps (cards) and the Infernape lost but I thought it would win. So I kept it and still have it today.

            The 3DS one is cool, I never bought a carrying case though. I might be a bit worried of over heating with the case on though.

          • I play while it’s charging sometimes, is that bad? I feel a tiny bit of heat emanating from it. I think it’s because I leave it on my bed sometimes.

          • I always play when it charges, but since I’m home when that happens, I don’t have it in the carrying case. I only play with it in the case on the bus and stuff when I’m out haha. And I’m honestly not sure. For safety precautions, I typically don’t have anything that gets warm when charging (Game/Laptop/etc) on the rug, or my bed, or anything. I keep it on a hard surface like my desk.

            And I dunno if you saw my reply because you refreshed, but is that the Ancient Mew card?? O_O

          • Nice! Pokemon the Movie 2000 (Or the Power of One) is my favorite, with Destiny Deoxys right behind. But I also really like Jirachi Wishmaker and the First one. Hard not to like the first one xD Didn’t really like Pokemon Heroes too much though =/

          • WOW Jordin! That is one hell of an impressive collection! All of those legendary Pokemon, starter Pokemon, Arceus forms, that Infernape card, but my favorite card out of the ones you’ve shown is that Flygon card ^_^ Flygon <3

          • Because there’s an app that you could download game boy advance games for free I used emerald and fire red in my iPad before x and y.
