This is now our X & Y coverage post, while we’re still covering, below will be a compilation of all our discoveries and findings from the game, which will later be compiled into our latest project (stay tuned)! It’s worth noting that we’re taking our time with the games, we’re keeping an eye out for interesting changes and updates, and we also have a full team of staff working away in the background gathering information for our upcoming project.

Story
- The Laverre City Gym is run by Leader Valerie, who specialises in Fairy Type Pokémon, she awards you the Fairy Badge and TM99 Dazzling Gleam. She uses the following Pokémon
- Mawile Lv.38
- Mr. Mime Lv.39
- Sylveon Lv.42
- After defeating the Gym your friends tell you to meet them in the Poké Ball Factory to the north, Shauna and Trevor are then chased away by the Team Flare Grunt who was previously blocking the gates to the factory
- When you enter the factory Team Flare are occupying it, Serena says she will take care of the first Grunt and you should head further into the factory, where more Grunts are waiting to challenge and dispose of you. NOTE: The Poké Ball Factory features 3D
- A woman in a small room on the top left of the walk way will heal your Pokémon for you. You must reverse the direction of the conveyor belt so you can access a room in the top left of the walkway. When you access the room Team Flare Admin and Scientists are found harassing the President of the Poké Ball Company
- First Team Flare Admin challenges you to a battle, followed by a double battle with you and Serena VS Team Flare and Celosia and Bryony. When you defeat them the President will award you with a Master Ball and a Big Nugget. Before you leave the factory your friend appear again and tell you that Dendemille Town is the next place you should visit. Finally, as you exit the factory a Holo Clip is received with an emergency announcement that the Poké Ball Factory has been attacked
- As you progress along Route 15, you will eventually receive a Holo Clip from Lysandre, who poses several questions about the theories behind Mega Evolution. Even further along the route the player can explore the Lost Hotel
- When you enter Dendemille Town Professor Sycamore and Dexio appear and begin talking about Xerneas or Yveltal and then leave. Trevor then appears hoping to have caught Sycamore, but then travels to the Frost Cavern in search of Pokémon
- Next the player heads north to the Frost Cavern, where they encounter a Mamoswine that seems to sense something is amiss in the Cavern

- The hairstylist in Lumiose only has three (male) options the first time you visit. Very Short, Short and Medium. If you get around ten haircuts, she’ll comment how fabulous you are consequent times you visit and you’ll unlock a new hairstyle: Medium Perm. There are bound to be more haircuts, but they are kinda hard to find. I experimented a bit and will let you know when I found out more.
- Not sure if we mentioned it already but there must be a coupon for shopping clothes somewhere. Some people mention it but I have no idea where to get it. The plot thickens…

That HP is lackluster….but PURE steel + Filter….it’s better than Registeel now
Well, that’s because the HP is never going to go up upon Mega Evolution, so it just keeps whatever the HP of the regular form is.
yeah I wish it was higher but I think pure Steel + filter make it up.

Ubers because of it’s enormous defense and Filter, possible Uber stats. Just thinking outside the box.
Maybe Xerneas…but I have little insight on Ubers especially with M. Mewtwo’s and Darkrais running around.
How are Megas gonna be placed in tiers?
I’ve heard it’ll be a case by case basis.
The megas are all weaker than their Choice Specs/Band/Life Orb variants.

I think that depends. Because I’m pretty sure Mega Absol would vastly prefer to have it’s improved base speed of 115 over 75, and it’s increased 115 in it’s special attack means it could even make use of it’s impressive special move list now.
The abilities, defense boosts and typing set them just enough to not be broken I feel. Even Mega Blaziken and Mega Gengar are hard countered. The hype right now is Assault Vest Tyranitar. But I agree with you on viable mixed Absol now!

The only shiny I have is a Meditite in Pokemon Black (well I also have a shiny Audino but that doesn’t count :P). I’m so glad it has a Mega!

105 atk 100 speed huge power…..618 atk with jolly, 678 atk with adamant…not even M. Mewtwo X has atak stat higher than that

Ughh……Anyway that gives me time to beat the game. I’m moving really slow since I’ve had the game since Monday and I haven’t beaten the 2nd gym yet! (I’m not a noob, I just can’t find the time to play DX).
don’t worry I’ve spend too much time breeding but after 2nd gym the game progresses much fast…..(I wish it didn’t)
I just saw that infiltrator actually got an additional boost. Not only does it go through screen shields now, which is nice, but it also pierces Substitutes. That is rather nice.

What’s better special attack or attack Lucario is earthquake sp atk or atk?
both are pretty close spa is very slightly higher on regular luc and atk is very slightly higher in mega luc
earthquake is a physical move so it’s attack. normally special attack is stronger than attack on lucario but with its mega evo, attack is superior
His SpATK is higher a little but attack fits his typing and move set better so attack is more beneficial. Earthquake is attack.
Ok he is going to have earthquake,close combat,sword dance, and iron tail so is it okay.
Yeah!! I would go extreme speed overiron tail. Better accuracy and priority. Plus steel isnt a very good attacking type.

I’d go shadow claw, it’s a TM if you don’t want to breed.
Don’t forget Fairies, it’s one of their only two weaknesses.
Well steel will be helpful now for taking out fairies ! you could try bullet punch which is steel and has priority (but you need to breed it onto him)

I found out that Azumarill is a great counter to the over abundance of Mega-Lucarios in random battles. I also found out Azumarill is strong as heck. Also anyone know if Mega-Jynx is real??

Serperior is officially the most badass Grass type ever.

Yeah, but it wouldn’t be able to learn Draco Meteor, no more than Ampharos would be able to, or Charizard. It would only be Dragon during it’s Mega Evolution, so it can’t be taught it as it is not naturally Dragon.
Pfffff then an event must be created or an egg move capability created lol… the Draconian Destroyer must become a reality!

Hi, everyone. Did you miss me?? I decided to completely avoid Pokemon sites (and even regular sites for the most part) to avoid any more Pokemon spoilers and to be suprised (Delphox was ruined for me on Imgur!!). Through the first half of the game, I kept getting frustrated because I was mostly running into old Pokemon. Little did I realize that it was because there was the smallest amount of new Pokemon and that I already knew of most of them. At first this disappointed me, but after thinking about it, I’m glad there’s not too many new Pokemon (although I hope we get more legendaries). My biggest (positive) surprise: MR. MIME IS PART FAIRY!! HOLY CRAP WAS NOT EXPECTING THAT!!!. My biggest (negative) surprise: No new evolutions for old Pokemon besides Eevee, no MegaEvolutions for Pokemon who needed it (except Mawile). I have a lot more to say but this is enough for now…I still have not yet beaten the 8th gym leader. I’ve been taking a lot of time to catch Pokemon and trade on the GTS
Has anyone else noticed that moves seem to be learnable at more than one level much more frequently…my Greninja just asked me to learn Water Shuriken at Lvl: 75 after i had deleted it after learning it upon it evolving.
move relearner also teaches forgotten egg moves now. This is amazing!
IKR! This new found self relearn is interesting though as really it used to be that the only moves you could self relearn were ones available at both base level and a later level.

Hmmm well you have a lot of offensive pokemon there with only Lapras and potentially Chesnaught as your bulk’s so id say Nidoqueen plus it has a much better movepool.

Yes you do, you get the ticket basically first thing after you beat the game.

The move relearner isn’t at Kiloude, they are at Dendemille Town, the windmill town just south of the Frost Cavern.

Wow, everyone seems to be so far ahead of me. Like I said below, I haven’t been the 8th gym yet. I’ve spent most of my time catching and training Pokemon. It’s crazy but I’ve already caught EVERY new Pokemon (except for Yveltal and the Z legendary). I’m excited about the rest of the game, especially the friend safari.

That Power Plant theme gave me chills. Same with the Gym Leader Theme.

Same. It’s always been my ambition to catch ALL Pokemon and raise them ALL to lvl 100. The closest I got was in White 2, I got all 649 and raised them all to at least lvl 50…I’m gonna try again in X/Y

No! Pokemon blocks irregular or hacked Pokemon! For example if Victini had Drought instead of Victory Star, Pokemon would block it!
