- Sachet (Y), Whipped Dream (X), HM04 Strength, X Sp. Atk, X Defense, TM44 Rest, TM88 Sleep Talk, Desting Knot, Snooke Ribbon, Prize Money O-Power and Persim Berries can be obtained
- Dwebble can be found using Rock Smash
- A Lady in the house beside the Pokemon Centre will give your Pokemon Massages
- A man inside the Pokemon Centre will trade you a Steelix for a Luvdisc
- The Bicycle shop will give you a free Bicycle after answering a couple of questions
- Grant is the Gym Leader of the Cyllage City Gym, he uses a Tyrunt and Amaura, both at LV. 25. He awards you with the Cliff Badge and TM39 Rock Tomb
Route 10
- Thunder Stone, X Accuracy, Mind Plate and Iapapa Berry can be obtained
- Hawlucha, Eevee, Houndour, Nosepass, Electrike, Yanma, Golett, Emolga and Siglyph can be found
- Yanma and Nosepass can be found in Horde Battles
- TM73 Thunder Wave can be found
Connecting Cave
- TM21 Frustration, TM40 Aerial Ace can be found
Geosenge Town
- Speed Power O-Power, TM66 Payback, Soft Sand, Everstone and Timer Ball can be obtained
- Leader Korrina challenges you to a battle, she uses two Lucario, both at LV. 25. She doesn’t give you anything. Her Gym being the next.
Route 11
- TM69 Rock Polish, Thunder Stone, Hyper Potion, Super Potion and Sitrus Berry can be obtained
- Nidoran (Male/Female), Staravia, Stunky, Chingling, Nidorino, Nidorina, Hariyama, Throh and Sawk can be found
- Nidoran (Male.Female) and Stunky can be found in Horde Battles
Reflection Cave
- TM70 Flash, TM74 Gyro Ball, Iron, Hyper Potion, Escape Rope, Black Belt, Earth Plate, Moon Stone and Nest Ball can be obtained
- Solosis, Chingling, Roggenrola, Mime Jr., Mr. Mime, Wobbuffet, Swoobat (drop), Ferroseed (drop), Carbink and Sableye can be found
- Roggenrola and Mime Jr. can be found in Horde Battles
Shalour City
- Eviolite, Max Ether and Soothe Bell can be obtained
- If you have raised your Pokémon well enough you can receive a Footprint Ribbon
- If you have a Psychic or Flying type Pokémon in your party you can help a woman who will award you with Stardusts
- You can trade a Sitrus Berry for a Leppa Berry
- Tierno gives you the ‘Intriguing Stone’
- Korrina is the Gym Leader of Shalour City, she uses Mienfoo Lv. 29, Machoke Lv. 28 and a Hawlucha Lv. 32. If you defeat her she will award you the Rumble Badge and TM98 Power-Up Punch.
- HM03 Surf can be obtained
Tower of Mastery
- Player receives the Mega Ring
- TM47 Low Sweep
- Player can choose to receive a Lucario holding a Lucarionite.
Route 12
- Player can receive Lapras
- Tauros, Heracross, Wingull, Chatot, Tauros, Pachirisu, Mareep, Exeggcute and Slowpoke can be found in the wild
- Wingull and Mareep can be found in Horde Battles
- TM45 Attract, Shiny Stone, Sachet (Y), Whipped Dream (X), Leftovers, Aspear Berry and Honey can be found

- The only jaw moves Tyrantrum has learned so far is Crunch and Bite 🙁
- Safari seems to have higher chance of getting an IV of 31( you can also use whatever ball you like, not those Safari Balls!)
- New hold item that raises Special Defense but makes you unable to use status moves
- New hold item that immunizes against weather damage and powder moves
- New item that looks like you can convert their Ability to a Dream Ability if they have two abilities to begin with (so if you had one ability and a dream ability, you probably couldn’t do it)
- NPC told me you can get a PokéRadar from Sycamore, haven’t gone to him yet though
- Super Rod on Route 16

Do you know how early I can get Sableye and Hawlucha.
Sableye i believe is in either Glittering Cave or connecting cave so right before the second gym. Hawlucha is on the route right after the second gym where all of the stones are.

How do you get Sylveon?
Play with and feed it poke puffs in Pokemon Amie.. mines evolved after i got 3/5 hearts of affection.
I see, interesting. I been dying to know the answer to this since Sylveon was revealed. Thanks for telling me.
Your eevee also has to know a fairy-type move before it will evolve into Sylveon.

What happened over the last 8 hours?
Just a heads up for anyone playing XY who hasn’t done the latest system update. STOP PLAYING and do it now because my brand new XY 3DS XL just froze and i lost some save data because i had to reset. Nintendo’s website seems too think specific games might cause the system to crash if not fully updated so i would advise you do this now .

I lost about 2 hours worth of playtime traversing Lumiose City 🙁 But at least it wasn’t anything important, just a lot of battles and exploration. The only thing lost was some experience.

If you save then yes you should not lose any data. It might not happen…i clocked over 18 hours of playtime before it happened to me…luckily i only lost the 2 hours i had done since i woke up.

Kalos Starters not known yet…last gen not all starters with their hidden abilities were actually released so possibly never. It is not yet known if you can catch them in the Friend Safari but if you can then that would be the place.

I think you need to check in blue flowers. The colour of flababe’s flower depends on which colour flowers you find it in.
To get Poké Puffs in Amie you either need to play the mini games (the higher the difficulty the better the Puff), or connect to the PSS and you will receive gift from others Pokémon, sometimes these are Puffs.
here’s a question: how do I take my hat off? haha. and does anyone know if I can give my male character a ponytail?

Yea! You can only receive those Mega Stones in the Post-Game! Also, there in opposite versions.
Serebii doesn’t state post-game, so I’m assuming you can obtain those two before elite 8.

Have we found all the Mega evos in the games yet?
I seriously doubt it. For one there are still Pokemon on the trademark list unaccounted for, such as Jynx for instance, and so far everything on that trademark list has made it. I’d say we still have more Megas coming.

FINALLY SOMETHING THAT WILL EVOLVE TO DARK TYPE. I don’t know if Pangoro will be on my final team, but right now I just need to capture something that can go dark.
I realized how vulnerable the Pancham line is to the onslaught of the 4X Fairy Weakness!

You offer up a Pokemon, and get something random in return. I’m actually going to try it right now, giving up a Riolu, and trading with a girl from Germany… In return I got a Chatot!

A Lv.21 Pikachu from France. Electro ball looks so cool! You get a Pokemon from the PC or your party. Go to the PSS and click that thing next to the “Internet” button. Click Wonder Trade. Choose a POkemon to trade and you get a random Pokemon in return.

No, if you send a Lvl. 4 Pancham the other Pokemon you get is at the level the person had it.
Okay, the wonder trade is stupidly fun, I think in the future once I can start breeding everything, I’ll put my extras on there.

At my Gamestop Pokemon Y was selling more than X, BTW. A lot more people are still getting X. I wonder how many sales have been made so far.

Okay, update on the game. First, I have EXP Share off, it’ll be a very useful item later on, but for my opening part of my run, I don’t want it on. So, I have two pokemon in my team, Shredder the Frogadier, and Chen Storm the Pancham. Chen Storm is rocking things pretty good, and almost always gets at least one crit each time he uses Arm Thrust or Comet Punch, so I almost wish he had Skill Link for one of his abilities.
I hope Pancham gets Sucker Punch or Mach Punch

Are the secret ones necessary? It seems quicker to just go by +12, and also using the punching bags you unlock. I’m loving this Super Training 😀
no they are not. But they sometimes give stones if you beat them in the given time, like fire stone, dawn stone. They don’t give EVs. Kinda pointless. I beat all of them but don’t bother.

Hmm so basically you play games to get Pokepuffs. Then you feed those to your pokemon and they gain hapinness.
Click on the Pokemon sprite and choose play then pet and play with it.
Just stuff you pokemon with pokepuffs and play with the and they’ll gain affection in no time. So far it seems like this will give you random benefits in battle like pokemon surviving with 1 hp or getting rid of status conditions.

I beat the second gym 10 hours is so you definitely aren’t alone! I feel overpowered though, right now my team is Vivillon (40) chestnaught (40) and amaura (37) and I just beat grant not too long ago
Disable exp share every now and then it works wonders. This game is much more fun when you are slightly underlevelled.
yeah im not gunna bother grinding like I was earlier haha. i’d use a combee’s sweetscent to attract a zangoose horde, kill it off with struggle bug to earn nearly 1000 experience
100% agree with this! Haven’t used it once and the game is actually a lot more challenging as battles are more developed and I often need some form of strategy as I’m on par/underlevelled with the foe

Yes!!! Female Bulbasaur!!! I can confirm now that the pokemon that you battle Sycamore with are not the same starters. In other words, if all of sycamore’s pokemon are male, the starters still have a chance at being female. So don’t soft reset until after receiving the pokemon!

Fennekin is up first (Oh every pokemon is leveled up to 50 automatically like battle subway), and I had Quilladin. I thought, “Well this will be a fast match!” I had 154 HP she uses flame charge….gets me down to 130 HP. 130 HP!!!! O_O. Then I realized the power of Quilladin’s GOD defense. I used 1 rollout, fennekin goes down to more than half….my expression: :O!!!
Chespin is easily the best starter and everyone who doubted him will pay >:D

Note that Flame Charge wasn’t a good thing for Fennekin to be using on him anyways, flame charge is a lower attack vs Quilladin’s higher defense. She would have been better off using embers, that would have smarted.

Yes and changing your region on your 3DS does not change the pattern you can get…i tried with 3 Vivillion but always got Garden Pattern (in the UK)..i wanted Marine Pattern 🙁

Oh wow. I might need to start using the EXP Share. Levels are getting higher than mine now, and I nearly got killed by a Machoke and Mr. Mime Duo due to weaknesses.
Yup….once you hit that Gym 3 sort of area the levels start to climb. Exp Share is definitely needed unless you plan on spending hours upon hours grinding.

I’m okay with that. I’m not okay with repeated types though so no Lapras because of Aurorus. Binacle is part Rock type. What about Psyduck? Any other water type?

It takes much more than that… you have to play mini games to get more puffs and to take their fullness down as once they are full they wont eat anymore. Plus you need to play with it over and over again.

It is an Eevelution so its moveset typically isn’t really that great STAB wise… it can learn quite a few TM’s though from what i can see and i can personally vouch that Moonblast and Return work like a charm 😀

Meowstick is a solid choice for a Psychic type. Don’t have one personally but i have faced a few (Serena/Calum has one) and it seems to put up a pretty good fight! Espurr is found on Route 6 heading back from Parfum Palace.

You could just press B if you don’t want to evolve it. After like 3 more levels I’m going to evolve mines. I wanna use Quilladin for at least 10 levels.
Yeah, I’ll keep Chespin for a while still. Just afraid of it knowing a move that its later evolutions can’t learn. Like how Mudkip can learn Hydrop Pump.

Exactly why I’m hesitant to evolve Chespin. These base forms can sometimes surprise you. Like how Shroomish can learn Spore, not Breloom.

Kalos wise…the only other one bar Delphox is Malamar which is Psychic/Dark Type. Inkay can be found on Route 8 and in Azure Bay. If you are not restricting yourself to Kalos types then do you have any preferences for any secondary typings and i could maybe think of some for you?

So you have 2 option if you want Psychic/Fighting. You could go for Gallade or Medicham. Ralts is found on Route 4 and Meditite is found in Connecting Cave.

Yay! My mother took my to the mall and I got my copy! I’m disappointed that it’s not a shiny case like Diamond and Pearl, but who cares! It’s in 3D!
The only time it’s in 3D is 1v1 battles and certain cut-scenes. That is if you mean using the 3D slider.
The battles become a bit laggy but not so much. It’s better to use 3D in cutscenes only.
So I’ve heard… Slight disappointment, but on the bright side it saves battery life.

Nuuuuu…. Shadow Claw, (Aerial Ace or Night Slash), Iron Head and Swords Dance is Boss. At least for any up to Lvl: 45.
Too late anyways, mine has Aerial Ace, Swords Dance, Shadow Claw, and False Swipe. It’s lv. 26
However there is also a new move it can learn (name escapes me) that switches it’s defence and attack stats which might work better than swords dance depending on your stats.
When does it learn it?
Late 30s or early 40s as a Doublade.

Not sure about Floette but my Helioptile is Lvl: 45 and hasn’t really leaned anything decent since Volt Switch (which ive now replaced for Thunderbolt) im gonna keep at it a little longer though.
Hmm, that’s disappointing.
I was very surprised that Helioptile can learn Surf actually. Really didn’t expect that.
In fact, a lot of its level-up moves make little sense to me. Razor Wind? Bulldoze?
Yeah its a weird little thing…Sun Stone isn’t the most obvious evolution method either but i guess with Dry Skin as its ability it makes more sense than Surf but it works great on its moveset.
Some other dream abilities for Kalos pokes:
Talonflame get’s Quick Wings(not official) which makes all flying moves a priority move(or+1 priority to all flying moves) and Goodra get’s sticky/icky which slowers the opponent’s speed when attacked.
Quick Wings is a fantastic ability.
I caught a Pikachu holding a Light Ball. When I’m able to, I’m gonna breed and get a Pichu with Volt Tackle.

Hrm… AI Isn’t smarter? Maybe they always did this, but I’m fighting an Ace Trainer who intelligentally switched out her granbull for her dry skin helioptile to eat my in coming water pulse. Not that she was able to do more beyond that, but I dont recall AI trainers switching hardly at all in the past, though I’d admit ace trainers would probably be the ones to do it.

Okay, Retaliate is one of the best animations in this game. It goes to black, and then the pokemon using it is on the other side doing a fatal slash like a samurai movie, with cherry blossoms flying through the air, black and red in the background forming like a japanese paper screen door. Darn, I was trying for an Impish Chespin, spent an hour and a half searching. Came across a Jolly one and settled on that. Is it safe to assume you’re using the event Torchic also lol?
I was, but you can’t nickname it, and I just got bored, so I’ve switched to Talonflame as my Fire type. I was going to use it anyway until I got a Noibat, so it’s not like much has changed. It has just meant I can use a Tyrunt now as well (he’s the one who will be replaced with Noibat).
Bit annoyed that Flame Charge at level 38 is the first physical Fire move Talonflame learns (second total). Mine’s Adamant so it was even worse. Aerial ace is terrifying on it though.
I might consider side training Combusken up though, simply because I want a Mega Blaizken for competitive usage.
What’s the other Physical Fire move for Talonflame?
Flame Charge is its first. Is has Ember (special move) when it evolves into Fletchinder. It learn no other Fire until Flame Charge.
Still worth using because Aerial Ace is ridiculous on it, but yeah, I was a little annoyed.

I don’t like how they stop running in tall grass, and they’re a bit annoying to work sometimes, but yeah, they’re pretty cool. I still prefer pure running though, I wish you could turn them off.

Are you sure the hats aren’t off on some of the default given icons you can switch to? If you click the folder looking icon at the top of the PSS system > Profile > your name, there is an option to change the public icon to the different types of players you’ve battled and stuff.
I don’t know why, but I’m incredibly bored with all the old Pokemon I’m seeing. It’s just really boring to me. The only ones of interest are those that Mega Evolve. It’s quite frustrating to be honest. Didn’t think I’d dislike it this much.
The only thing i can say to flip this into a positive is that it makes encountering one of the new pokemon a little bit more exciting. Reminds me of the GSC Johto Days 😀
Yeah, I know. I keep seeing Kalos Pokemon and being really happy that I have. They’re some of the only ones I’ve caught.
Ive only got one non Kalos Pokemon on my team and that’s Charizard which technically can “mega evolve” into a “Kalos” pokemon.

Anyways, Team Update.
Shredder: He just evolved to Greninja as soon as the battle was over, so he’s easily my highest level Pokemon, and has been very good for me.
Nyarlathotep: Recently evolved Malamar, this guy has been great for me, especially with contrary. Korrina did not stand a chance against him.
Chen Storm: I actually haven’t gotten to use him yet since he evolved to Pangoro, but he’s consistently been able to beat the snot out of things.
Shades: Kind of a place holder, but this Krokorok has been somewhat useful, particularly against electric types, for obvious reasons. He is liable to be replaced though.
Erebus: At first, I was annoyed, because this Sableye has Stall, so he always goes Last. But then I realized due to his attacks, who cares, and have dumped into his defenses and attack, and this little dark goblin is ripping things to shreds. Plus, he always has max Payback damage, which hurts nicely.

Its not bad. If you roller blade and then Smash the joystick where you are going you go even faster. Kinda like Smash Attacks in Super Smash Bros but with the joystick on the 3DS

I wanted to see if there was any moves it learned early but it doesn’t seem like it…
Yes…generally if a starter has some exclusive moves in its base form its usually at level 40-50 that it learns it so unless you want to wait that long you probably have nothing to lose and you might be missing out on some moves that quilladin can learn that chespin can’t.

My Team progress because I felt like it:
Nino (Greninja): I got a little bit unlucky with an Impish nature (+Def, -Sp.Atk), but to be honest it’s actually sort of worke din m favour. Now he’s a brilliant mixed sweeper, who I am getting a lot of usage out of. Power-up Punch is insanely useful, and Thief’s power creep this gen is also veyr welcome. Water Shruiken is too badass for words, and pretty OP too. He looks damned awesome in Amie as well!
Fletcher (Talonflame): Not gonna lie, Fletchinder’s design is much nicer than Talonflame’s. Still, I have very much enjoyed using him. Aerial ace rips through everything insanely quickly (an Adamant nature really, really helps with that). The one thing that is a little bit sucky is that level 38 is the first time is learns a physical fire type move (Flame Charge). Until then all you have is Ember.
Po (Pangoro): Ridiculously beastly. Can sap up damage and dish it out massively. I’m really, really enjoying using this one.
Tyrone (Tyrunt): Rock Tomb’s improved accuracy is really useful. Crunch is also obviously great, and Dragon Claw is obviously fantastic. I love this lil guy’s design, waiting patiently for daytime currently so that I can evolve him.
Basil (Helioptile): I really liked how quickly I could use this guy. He was useable form the Get-Go, which was great. Parabolic charge is a godsend in Horde battles, and learning Surf is really interesting and useful for his moveset. The Normal type has caught me off guard a few times, and I’ve suffered, and for a long while he had to be trained up, but ever since he’s been a reliable team member. Really need his level-up moves soon so that I can work out when to evolve him. I can feel him needing those improved stats soon.
Rosie (Floette): Flabébé was rather weak, but as soon as she evolved she was a valuable member of the team. Floette is a great design and I’m happy I’ve had it for so long. The multitude of Grass moves was certainly interesting (even if all but one were physical, ugh), and I am loving that she gets Wish and Aromatherapy. It kinda sucks that her only Fairy move is Fairy Wind. She’d had it since level 7 and it’s getting weak now. Still perfectly useable, but her physical Frailty means that she can’t tank it out and just spam Fairy Wind some of the time. Like Basil, I need to know her level up moves, because she too could do with evolution soon, but I need to know I’m not missing out on anything important before I go ahead and use the stone. I’m expecting a Petal Dance if the trend that was been set out so far continues, and another Fairy move seems likely too at some stage.
They need to make a app similar to the pokedex 3d pro thing but, just for the moves because some of them look really cool.
You know back in my days as a young-er trainer… NPC’s didn’t ask for money in exchange for telling me their uninteresting and completely unrelated stories.

Last bit of info for the night since im too nice haha- You are a bit away from the fossil which you will get after completing a sidequest in Ambrette Town and Eevee is catchable on the route directly after Cyllage City (2nd Gym City) and that is the only place you can get it. It is also where you can get Hawlucha.

I wish we could learn 5 moves. Leech seed has been so good for Chespin, would love to keep it. But I also want Spikey Shield, Wood Hammer, Drain Punch, and weakness coverage in Stone Edge.

Question, should I get rid of Water Pulse for Water Shuriken?
Yes. It is it’s signature move. What other moves does it have though?
Return, Smack Down, and Quick Attack. Problem is, Greninja is a special attacker and Water Shuriken is a physical move
Get rid of Quick attack and keep both. Quick attack is pointless when you have Water Shruiken.
Oh and Water Pulse should be replaced with Surf once you get it. Idk where you are but I’m imagining it’s pretty soon.
I just want to say, that the Power Plant’s music is pretty sweet. Then again, a LOT of the music in this game is pretty sweet.

I just spent 12 hours playing this game with 7 friends in one room. Me and another guy were perfectly in sync battle for battle, and we had tons of double battles and lots of fun.
This game is amazing. The best Pokemon by far. Super Training is a great replacement for EV training, although I still hope something has been done about IVs.

Ok thanks , I’m quite surprised that the all the details of the whole game aren’t publicly knowledge by now becauE it was an international release but I guess GF put a lot of effort into making the game thorough and in depth which I’m glad … Crossing my fingers there are some secret evolutions that are really tough that people haven’t found yet !
I know that in serebii, his updated old moves isn’t complete yet. For example String Shot now lowers speed by 2, so it’s like scary face. It’s not on the website though.
Okay, I think I was just checking the wrong grass, I found an Absol right away.
And I’d like to say, that Absol put up quite the fight. Took me 20 individual Pokeball of different types to get it, eventually capturing it in an Ultra Ball. Put up that kind of fight, then he deserves to be on my team.
…Alright, now that my hype has died down from that capture, has anyone here used Aegislash yet? Because my Honedge has an Adamant nature, and I’m trying to figure out how to distribute EV’s. seeing as how it’s Attack/Special Attack and Defense/Special Defense switch between forms….

I think it’s so slow that even with max speed, it’s not fast enough. I’d go 252 attack for Shadow Sneak and Sacred Sword + Swords Dance

for Wailord ignore the ballons and attacks…use charge shots and focus soley on that
Charge shots are the key to victory.
They really are. What I do is use them on every goal.
When you see the red goal, just keep firing away, don’t bother with charge shots.

Finally doing some Super Training for reals. Captured this Absol, and had the perfect opportunity to do it. And once you get the hang of it, I think Super Training is great, and once you factor in the punching bags, probably a lot better than regular ev training, at least personally. Helps you get to see the numbers too.
Even better is that it maxes at 252 not 255 so you will always get the extra 6

That’s interesting. Sableye can learn this new attack Dazzling Gleam from the fairy gym. Which, I beat her on my first try, but it took some planning, due to her having almost every advantage. Though, I did have a fairly good duel between her Mawile and my Sableye, and if it weren’t for her Iron Defensing Twice, my Sableye would have won. Equal levels too.

That’s why those messages are coming up this means that your pokemon like you eventually they can heal their own status problems if you use amie enough.
