Seriously, if the final evos are the ones revealed so far, they are the worst designs I’ve seen for final stages considering all fanarts I’ve seen. Greninja being the least terrible.
I hope you guys like them and disagree with me, but I’m very disappointed with what they’ve become.
I’m 100% with you, man! Greninja is the only one I find passable, I like it. The other two, damn! I have one major problem with both of them, they have a “first stage face”, they are not fearsome like they should be, like a starter’s final stage is supposed to be… I mean, the only thing that Deplhox has evolved is the body, the face is exactly the same as Fennekin, even the size (so disproportionate)… Chespin’s final evo is just plain weird… It also has a ver non-threatning face, it’s too cute, it doesn’t even suit its’ gigantic body (also disproportionante). I’m very disappointed. I loved the basic stage of all the three, based on which I wouldn’t have been able to choose, but after seing the final stages, I couldn’t be more disappointed. I had my hopes too high, I suppose. Up until now the only starter final evolution that I didn’t like was Blaziken (opinions, don’t go downvoting just for this remark! :D) and now Chesnaught caught up to it, Delphox being almost as bad as them both. As someone said, they could have taken a more animalistic turn, and a more monstruous and fearsom approach, but they made them look like baby-faced humanoids (apart from Greninja). I just wish Game Freak was trolling us all along and there were no early releases and this was just their way of saying “there will be a wolrdwide release, respect it, don’t go on asking for leaks!”… If only…

Its so stupid, we are so damn close to the freaking release date and we are going to know eventually so why the hell can’t they just let people leak! No other video games do this ONLY Pokémon because they want us to keep the hype and buy the games. MEANWHILE 88% of the people that want X and Y already pre ordered it.

They already knew, I’m sure. They have a radar of sites they watch, and certainly a few Pokémon fansites are on that radar. We may even be.
As other people said on a precious post, he’s most likely liying so he can play the game in peace and if that’s truly the case then he shouldn’ve leaked in the first place becacue people go ham over those leaks.

I’m a bit disappointed by this. Pokejungle has always been my favorite site in terms of leaks, especially during gen V. If they too stop posting leaks this time I’m not sure if Pokejungle has anything that Serbii hasn’t any longer.
Guess I have to find a new underdog site to keep up with leaks.
Ummmm, what part of NINTENDO IS SHUTTING DOWN LEAKERS didn’t you get? If underdog sites start posting things, the same thing will happen to them. It’s not that Pokejungle is deficient in some way, it’s that Nintendo is trying to hold on to their information for three more freaking days. Patience.
I think it’s mainly to avoid legal action. You wouldn’t want your favourite site to face legal action from Nintendo. Especially this close to the release of Pokemon X and Y. I think it was the right move.
And anyway not like the leakers are posting anything new. I’m sure the final starter evolutions will make their way to the internet at some point within the next few days, so patience my friend.

It’s because the reviews come out on the 4th, and apparently they are allowed to reveal almost anything they want. Sounds a little strange, but that’s what everyone has been saying, so I’m just assuming it was stated somewhere at some point.
Because the people Nintendo gave the games to allow them to leak stuff legally on the 4th (but it doesn’t matter any more seeing as the start evos have been released)…sorry for the late reply

Agree completely. The biggest reason I favour this site is that it takes risks and posts things that Serebii doesn’t. I’m really surprised and disappointed by this.

Not a whole lot, honestly. Lots of old Pokemon make comebacks, the PokeFlute is back, there’s a HarvestMoon-ish Berry Garden. Up through the first couple hours, there aren’t any new pokemon we haven’t known about, other than the middle stage of Fetchling.

Megacharizard X relevation made me think about it.
I find it interesting that this happened and we got leaks and thousands if not more poke fans got eat it up, but nothing too new. No final starter evo. No new super cool pokemon. Just fletchings middle evo which was already assumed and espurr which was already expected too. Oh and the hippo pokemon. If I’m correct that’s all of the new pokemon we saw, but we saw some great game play that confirmed some theories. I’m glad and very happy and excited that this happened but interesting that nothing huge came from it and now Nintendo has put a stop to it just in time to make sure nothing does very convenient.
Glad to see I’m not the only one thinking that it was just controlled hype. It just makes me that much more excited to get it on the 12th. If this has any truth to it it just shows Nintendo is upping their social network skills the other week with the YouTube video and then the twitter #pokemonxy where everyone went to get the codes and all the other posts on various social media sites as well. I think the past 24 hours has the tough. PJ, Serebii, PokeBeach and Bulbapedia are all loyal Pokemon fans who respect Nintendo and Gamefreak. I know people are begging for leaks. Do we really know if there is a Y stone and a X stone? Has that been officially stated? Or is it only determined by the game you are playing. You have the ?-nite mega stone attached to ?-pokemon and because you are playing the Y game it changes to Y form and the same for playing the X version it would change to the X form. I watched both the Mewtwo video and the Charizard video and neither say you need a different stone, only that one is on game Y and one is on game X when you use the mega stone in them.

It’s already pretty clear that it will be Fighting. What I’m finding weird, is the fact that the Starters are now double effective against each other, instead of balanced like Masuda said he wanted to do, and how it was hinted (the moves they used in the first trailer).
Furthermore, according to PokéBeach’s leaker, the Starters were going to be Grass/Dark, Fire/Psychic, and Water/Fighting. Why did GF just change it?

I dont know why we are all complaining. On the real we all know most of our teams dont include Starters from Gen 4 up.. XD I as sure don’t. All I need is my Swampy and Meganium. (MegaMeganium does that make Superman?)
To be honest, the leaks seem to have ruined the hype a bit, it was exciting for a while, but now that we know heaps about the game, I’m not sure it will be as enjoyable… I guess this is why nintendo went for a worldwide release, ashame it failed really 🙁

It imitates a keychain and steals keys to play pranks on humans. Fae are known to be tricksters. To the context pulls it off. That being said. The designs is simplistic.
Battle wise it has the potential to be a Wall. Steel/Fairy relinquishes its weakness to steel and fighting both doing normal damage. It has strengths of both steel and fairy given it a shit ton of resistances and strengths. Its only weakness is Fire and ground. Thats IF this thing doesn’t have levitate.
Mawile won’t outclass it because Mawile is more physical, Klefki might be more Special
Masuda actually said that they make designs very often with young children in mind and how easily children can draw the monster. Huh!

I don’t think Fennekin should have gender specific evolutions. Delphox is a mage of sorts, and looks masculine to me. At least it’s more masculine than Lopunny. It could look like that and be male, which is ok. YOu could also say it uses magick to keep it’s youthful appearance.

I like some of these evolutions but I kinda wish Gamefreak would come out and say they were all fakes made by them. How awesome/disappointing would that be. I feel like this will be the best region but has the worst pokemon..I was so sure it would have the best but I’m just seeing some and going, “wtf were they thinking?”
I think it helps if you think of each region being like an addition to what we already have. Each generation is going to have good and bad Pokemon.

I can definitely see that, but if this region doesn’t redeem itself real quick, it will be at the worst of all (To me).Gen 4 has a lot of clunkers but added all of those awesome evolutions. Gen 5 also has a lot of not so good ones but it also has quite a few that I like. Plus it had the most of any region.

To each his own. I personally hated most of those. I like the creativity but I guess they just weren’t for me. I respect your choices though. But Emboar. i hate it so much. I picked fire every game. But i always cringed that i had to get Emboar.

Since when is basic bad? Id rather basic then just unappealing.
Touche. But none of them really amaze me now. And compared to later designs that seem pretty bland. But its the evolution of style.
The gen was most unappealing to me was the numerous amount of awkward pokemon. THe pokemon that had multiple parts or the pokemon with a weird background or context that makes you wonder why. (Magneton, Dugtrio, Jynx, etc.)

hmm, i dunno, i like about (only counting one per evolution one, so if i like rattata but not raticate still counts as 1 like, if i like charmander, chermeleon, /and/ charizard, counts as 1 like) 45 pokemon from Gen 1, 39ish from II, 37ish from III, 40ish from IV, and 45ish from V… so apparently Gen I & V are my top two.

Arcanine is one of my toptoptoptoptotpottop favorites <3 Nidoking is awesome, too, and there are lots of cuties like pikachu/raichu, sandslash, wigglytuff, inetales, persian, ponyta, dewgong, gengar wow yes gengar is a cutie ok, i mean… it just goes on…

Honestly can’t decide. The only for sure thing about this list (SO FAR) is Gen 6. (unless that changes with other pokemon/official art)
I love it when people says this region has the worst Pokemon. In honesty I feel like this Gen has the most creative Pokemon. Sure some of them people don’t like, but you can’t say their designs aren’t unique. Bare in mind that both kids and dedicated fans are the demographic of these games. They still to appeal to children as well.
Honestly looking back at Gen I had the most basic of Pokemon, yet most people give you bs or downvotes because you’re dissin’ Gen I. Yes it started it off the series, but its additions have made Pokemon what it now is. But it still had its major…..flaws
I love that there is heaps of diversity in the games so far. With loads of different types found in the early routes, and not just rattatas and pidgeys (who are awesome, but yeah..)

In order to look at the last Kalos entry you need to have the national dex. Cause Regional dexes aren’t congruent to the National dex

Most Pokemon only evolve once. I’ve only seen a few Pokemon that don’t evolve, those being Kelfi and Dendene. There is usauly no more than 10 3 stage lines (including starters amd excluding cross gen evos)

I had a sad feeling this would happen. Blastoise gets only one Mega Evolution where as Charizard gets the special treatment. This is because its Mega Stone is called Blastoisinite, no X or Y at the end. Looks like there will never be a Water/Steel Blastoise.

And, According to a facebook page i like, Heracross, Galvantula and Druddigon Mega Stones have been found. And yet, still no word on Manectric
He only changed his team (without going to the Pokemon centre) because he was obtaining a Lucario as part of the story. Same mechanic as last gen with Reshiram/Zekrom.
I’d hope not. I think it would be cool to have something interesting like that, and have a monologue in game to explain it.

Heck, with all the new features and graphic upgrades I’d buy the games even if there weren’t any new Pokemon. Just seeing my favourite pokes in 3D (I don’t mean 3ds 3d, but like fully animated modern game 3D) is enough for me
They had to move everything into 3D and it’s no easy task to change over 600 pokemon from a sprite to a 3D model and with the addition of Pokemon Amie, they had to add different animation and sound for all pokemon. I wouldn’t mind lesser pokemon for all these awesome new feature. The third game would make even more improvement.
